Roots to Bloom Preschool

This was our daughters first experience with any kind of care outside of the home and it was absolutely wonderful! Lisa has created an environment that is homey, nurturing, and caring. The activities that were done throughout the day in art, play, and building were guided with a gentle hand. Our daughter would come home each day telling us about all of the things that she had done and was excited to get there each morning. Even though she is no longer attending she still talks about Lisa, how much she likes her, and that she misses her.

I had a lot of anxiety about starting my 2 ½ year old in preschool as he is a bit of a shy guy. Lisa’s warm and nurturing ways helped him (and me) make the transition as easily as possible. Over the course of the year, she truly got to know my son and allowed him to explore a wide variety of interests and activities. I learned a lot of parenting skills from Lisa watching her maneuver through childhood social dynamics. The school itself is lovely providing multiple rooms for a rich learning environment. The outdoor spaces are also wonderful with a covered sandbox, garden, and play structure. The moment I walked through the doors, I felt I had found a special place for my child.

Lisa has worked with my son for well over a year, and he absolutely adores her. She is a wonderful, nurturing and gentle soul. Her creativity and eagerness to explore the children’s wonderings allows for an individualized approach to each child’s learning experience. Our time with Lisa has been nothing but positive, and we couldn’t begin to thank her enough.

Lisa is wonderful and my daughter adores her. She meets the children where they are and does an amazing job helping them along socially and developmentally. Through play, exploration, art projects and science experiments, the kids learn so much from Lisa, in a truly organic way. Lisa is so patient with the children and watching her interactions with them, it’s evident how much she loves what she does.

My son has been under the care of Lisa for a year now and it is amazing to see how much he has grown emotionally, creatively and verbally in that time! He absolutely loves going to school and always talks about Teacher Lisa at home. Her energy, patience and love for the children seems limitless and her ideas for learning through play are amazing. They are always working on a fun art project or science experiment. He especially loved watching caterpillars as the grew into butterflies! She is focused on each child and helping to bring out their best self. I am so happy we found a place that my son truly thrives and loves.
