Fantastic service. Great communication, good price, and completed the job exactly as I wanted with care and expediently. I honestly hope to never use again, but if in the event a tow is needed again I will definitely call Rubber side down again.

You’re rarely happy to see the towing guy, but this one is the exception. I’ve been rescued on more than one occasion by Rubber Side Down, and they’ve always been super helpful, quick, reliable, and friendly. He’s been our chase truck during rallies, keeping us safe and secure. He’s driven out farther than you would expect to gently load your bike on his super-​fancy lift with no chance of getting a scratch on your ride. At this point I’ve got their number on speed, dial, and if you ride, you should too.

I was quoted 2 – 3 times more than rubber side down charged by several other tow companies when my bike recently needed a tow. When my buddy had his bike towed on another company’s flat bed, we were both nervous, as the trailer wasn’t really equipped to secure it.
Not so with rubber side down. I felt the bike was safe and sound the whole time. He even cut me a discount and totally didn’t have to do that. We got stuck in traffic for a while and I got the sense the owner is a nice, genuine guy who runs this business because he cares about the motorcycling community. I wouldn’t go elsewhere for a tow in the future.

To the 1-​star reviewer who said you were cut off by Chris: I only know your side of the story, and if Chris’s business was merging onto freeways then I would take your review seriously. But since his business is safely and professionally towing motorcycles (which he is very good at, btw) your review really doesn’t do me any good and artificially lowers his business rating. Just letting you know.
As for my *actual* experience with this company: My housemate took a tumble on his Ninja 500 on Germantown and I recovered his bike while he was in the hospital. Chris is a motorcyclist himself (of course) and knows how to handle a bike, even a mangled one. He’s super friendly and took the time to explain how he was tying the bike down so it would be safe during transport. When we got back to my house, he even expertly maneuvered it past the parked cars in the driveway and into the small crowded garage next to my bike (remember, this is a crashed, twisted bike that doesn’t turn well).
Chris made a painful experience much more bearable, and definitely deserved the tip he left with.

Christopher is a motorcycle super-​hero. He possesses a stand-​out «Can-​Do» attitude. Plus the hardware is built to protect and keep bikes secure when bad things happen. And when bad things happen, like a flat in a far-​away Washington coastal village, after hours, miles from a motorcycle shop, Les Schwab, anything connected with tires for bikes, Christopher bolts for the phone booth, whips into his super-​hero uniform and flies off to save you. Every motorcycle person in the metroplex should have Rubber Side Down in the contact database.

Chris has a passion for taking care of riders pride and joy motorcycles. He understands the importance of timely, friendly, professonal service. I help manage a larger sized motorcycle club of around 250 members. Chris provides service like no other during our organized annual charity ride. Our ride can have over 100 riders strung out across a 200+ mile course and Chris takes the time to actually sweep our course if his time permits. He wants to ensure we don’t have anyone sitting on the side of road broken down and if we do identify a missing rider, he is sure to go find them. Who else does this? Nobody. Does he do this because he wants to build a strong customer oriented business, because he cares that everyone is home safe, because he wants to be known as the towing service that cares the most? YES! Chris also comes to our annual safety demo event and shows everyone just how his first rate service works, including demonstrations of his equipment. If you need a motorcycle towed in the Portland area, there is no better than Rubber Side Down.

Had a «last-​minute» towing need, wherein I just learned the night before that my bike needed to be moved first thing in the morning. Chris answered all my questions, got all my information, and took care of transporting my bike (with some very nice equipment, I’d like to add) safely to my house. Personable and smart businessman that I am happy to give «5 stars» to… I highly recommend.

Rubber Side Down Towing is what you think towing should be… Quick efficient, courteous and professional. Chris is the owner and gets his hands dirty to get you out of a jam. His rig is well equipt and maintained and very cool to watch as he effortlessly loads and secures you bike onto the truck.
I’ve used his service twice this year… One for a rear flat and another time on I5 as my bike decided just to stop running. In both cases, I’d give them 5 stars for service. Thanks!!!

Need a motorcycle towed in the Portland, OR metro area? Don’t waste time/​$$$, just go to Chris at Rubber-​Side Down Towing.
He’s go a super-​pro rig, picked up my stolen moto, kept it in a secure enclosed trailer for two days, brought it to my house so the police could check it and clear the report, left it parked there until I could get it fixed from the damage, and is just swinging by to pick up the trailer, five days later… for $ 55! And offered to tow it to a lock-​smith for free!
I swear I’m not being paid or anything — I just prefer give props where props are due. Chris is super cool, laid-​back, funny as hell, but takes towing very seriously — I’ve never seen such a great rig/​trailer setup. If you ride, bookmark this guy just in case. 6 stars, seriously.

People are going to say what they say. It has to be for a reason. It’s just for a reason. I know sometimes I say things; I offend people. I ask this lady a lewd question because I’m in a lot of pain too. I have some pain I’m gonna have for the rest of my life. But when I need my motorcycle towed and I’m in Portland, OR. Chris is my man. We both love Alice and Chains and he’s really sweet. I wouldn’t call anyone else.

At the suggestion of MotoCorsa I called these guys for a tow (my battery had died during storage for the winter). The price was more than fair. They were prompt, extremely professional and friendly. My bike was expertly secured and arrived safely.
I couldn’t have asked for a better, smoother experience. Highly recommended.
