Schneider Kerr & Gibney

Now I have read the other reviews and regret my decision if retaining this firm. I completely agree with some of these other reviews. Be ready to do every bit of work your self. They don’t lift a finger.
This was a horrible experience for my wife as well as me. She is bed ridden and one of the reasons I thought it would be great to have an attorney would be to get more valuable time with my wife because she is going down hill fast.
They took advantage of us in more ways than one. They were rude the two times I called and then I finally gave up on them. I did a 1696 form a few weeks after they should have already done one This gives me power to speak to them on my wife’s behalf. I checked once every three days to find out if they had record of the law firm and social security was clear that there was no record of them. I couldn’t believe it.
Who did what. Well lets see…
SCHNEIDER KERR & GIBNEY:
— Filed electronically my wife’s case (something I could have easily done online)
WHAT I DID:
— Did all documents in triplicate to the law firm, our local office and social security national
— sent in all doctors reports on going (about 350 pages of material)
— got all scans from the hospitals she had been to and forwarded
— set up and was with my wife as support for all phone interviews
My wife was awarded benefits and I still have yet to hear anything from this law firm. They have already taken some of their money though.
I would not only never recommenced them but go further. I will be going to the state Bar Association. What they are doing is unethical and taking advantage of people in a time of need.
I believe this to be a breech of contract because nothing was done by them. DON’T USE THESE PEOPLE!

Definitely don’t get trapped into hiring them. They are the most unprofessional law office I have ever dealt with. I did get the initial SS disability but they wanted to go after retro and after loosing that case the hanging judge advised to have all my past reimbursements collected. Then Schneider couldn’t decide whether they wanted to continue representing me. Going to a competent lawyer I found I could not retain him unless Schneider themselves did not want to represent me. They finally voted on it 2 months after and decided to keep my case… probably because I had my files sent to my the new lawyer. Don’t waste precious time with this office.

Horrible experience. I’ve never had any legal experience that was so unprofessional. The attorney was completely unprepared for the hearing. They lost my case in court. I would never re commend them or even think of using their completely unuseful so called services again. If I could rate with a minus on this app most certainly would do so!
