Spend your hard earned money elsewhere! There were ants on our table. My daughter killed 6 within a minute. When I told the hostess, she didn’t seem the least bit surprised. This isn’t our regular Shari’s. I won’t be returning to this one.

Their main problem is probably their service, and the last two times I was there, I ended up walking out, because no one waited on me after more than ten minutes. I think the last time I left without being served the waitress was the only one. So, not her fault, but not mine either. Second huge problem they have is IMO, the coffee is a contender to be the worst coffee in the USA. Obviously their buyer is someone who does not drink coffee.

This is the best place for food, after 2am AND witching 100 yards from my apartment. It’s a three star restaurant with 7 stars on convenience that averages to 4.1 when you account for the cost of the meal and a questionable item every now and again but I rounded it up to 5 stars bc I’m drunk, optimistic, in good company and bc I should allow for a little standard deviation given my run on sentences.

Good servers.(One star) Not so good mgmt. Food is so-so, hit or miss. You may get a mediocre meal, or a poor one. If they’re a little busy, consistency and quality of kitchen output suffers. Points program is very weak– don’t bother. Good hours — 24.

It’s just an average diner with average food. Nothing too bad and nothing to really make me excited to eat here again. It’s the plain tart of American diners.

I return to Shari’s purely for the nolstagic experience of reliving my high school days with friends and midnight Sheri’s runs. Apart from that, Sheri’s is not so great. I went back the other night for the first time in years, and the food is just as I remember… flat, uninspiring, and sad. Unfortunately, I also found more disappointments in this most recent trip. In Sheri’s attempt to reinvent its menu, it furthers itself from good dining. Many portions of the Sheri’s menu attempts to take on an Italian theme. Having lived in Italy for a couple years, I admit I have become more picky with Italian-American cuisine. My friends, Sheri’s should have never attempted to add Italian to their mix. I ordered an ‘Italian’ style sandwich, and received an over salted handful of bread and one-note flavored meat. Italian cuisine is known for its freshness, balance and simplicity of flavors. Enough said, this is a fail for Sheri’s. I was also disappointed in their ‘World’ acclaimed pie shakes. Mine was gritty and runny, and all for the pride of $ 5. The straws they give you for the shakes are too fat, so that also makes the shake feel to liquidy. Overall, poor decision making at Sheri’s restaurant. In a positive note, the service is really nice!

How bad can it get. Waited 20 minutes to get our order. Then another twenty to find out they did not have half of what we ordered. Gave up walked out. Food is never above average at this location but to wait that long and get nothing. Manager could care less. No apologies nothing as we walked out.

The food is good and the staff are usually very friendly and reliable. There are off days but this usually has to do with how busy days are. I always take my family out to this location when they visit and have yet to be disappointed.

Was pretty good food when I went this Monday. The service was a bit under but the food was not very greasy and affordable.

We went to Shari’s knowing that it is three star food. What we weren’t expecting was the one star service. It was a long wait to order, a long wait for the food, and even after discussing the wait with the manager we had to wait for our bill after all the dishes had been cleared. My country fried steak was luke warm and my son’s waffle undercooked. The famous pies? Meh.

It’s nothing special but every time my daughter and I go we are always blessed to have the same server and she always remembers us and we receive great service from her. It’s to the point that she knows the kid wants her«usual». It’s kinda sweet. 3 stars for the food, but one extra for the service we always receive.

It’s Shari’s. You eat at one you’ve pretty much eaten at them all, kind-of-like Denny’s and McMenamins. It’s standard food that I only eat during breakfast only because I like a beer with my lunch and dinner… and I’d feel awkward drinking a beer at Shari’s or Denny’s. Shari’s, I need to visit you more often for breakfast. Quick & friendly service!

It’s very rare that we go Shari’s but we’ve been to this location twice and both visits were less than stellar. We ordered eggs benedict and a pastrami burger with pretzel bun. The waitress upsold me to a benedict with bacon and tomato that was not on the menu. Sounded good so I agreed. I ended up not getting the upsold plate and was handed the classic benedict. I would have been totally fine with this had it not been cold. My husband ordered the pastrami burger only to be told AFTER serving it that they were out of pastrami. Oh, and also cold.

It has been years since we’ve been to this Shari’s and it’ll be never again. The service was horrible, as was most of the meal. Shredded carrots in the salad looked to have been sitting out, lettuce was shriveled, blue cheese dressing had absolutely no flavor and the soup resembled paste. The ham sandwich was dry and mustard would have helped but the server never once came back after delivering the meals and we finally went to the cash resister to pay, without the bill, because she never came back with it. Would never go back.

So Shari’s has been running a LOT of radio ads for their«Friday Prime Rib Special» lately. But nothing on their website or on line menus mentions WHAT is so special about this special. I hate it when on line menus(and the paper menus they allow you to take home) do not show prices… it is so easy to change prices, it’s a red flag. It is MYJOB to explain these details, good and bad. This review is the Garden Home Shari’s but I suspect it applies largely to the entire chain. And I’ll add another star IF they put prices on their on line and to go menus. No, it is not a «special» price, or a BOGO, or a coupon, or a large cut for the price of a small or some extra appetizer or side. What makes THIS Shari’s «special» is that they only do Prime Rib on Friday. What it should be called is «Shari’s Friday wine by the bottle special». That’s ok with me even if a little misleading. Friday’s from 4 pm till close, IF you order one of the three Prime Rib«specials» you can buy: Thorney Rose California Cabernet(regular $ 18), Houge Washington Merlot(reg. $ 17), Sycamore White Zinfandel($ 16), or Chardonnay($ 17) at half price. Apparently the per glass prices are not so discounted… but I failed to ask. There are three Prime Rib choices: Herbal rubbed($ 10.99), Blackened($ 11.49) or Blackened with Cajun shrimp($ 11.99). Each is offered: «extra shrimp»(additional $ 3.99 I THINK… price not on paper menu). Now I’ve been tricked before about«shrimp» before so I ask Corine, «The Blackened with Cajun shrimp is how big? 10 oz, 12oz?» Corine is cheerful, attentive and a sweetie pie, fast and efficient BUT she was wrong on two counts. She should know my cut was no way more than 8 oz and there were 10 medium shrimp included and sufficient NOT to order the«extra» version they seem to be pushing. When the Sommelier arrived with my $ 8.50 bottle of Houge Merlot,
he failed to display the label per vin etiquette. I did, however follow MY part and not so discretely sniff the Boone’s Farm style twist off metal bottle cap. I think they don’t teach all of the wine rituals at Shari’s Sommelier School. The cook(I was a short order cook many moons past) and he did his best with a non prime cut. Still it was tasty, sufficient size, but had a bit too much waste. It was NOT freshly cut from a full rib or else possibly finished to Medium rare on the grill. And I may be too picky but I dislike a baked tater served WITH aluminum foil ! By the way, you can have potato OR salad but BOTH is extra. The full bottle makes this much less annoying. Service was good, chow acceptable, price was decent and I gave the last third of the bottle to a woman taking her wheelchair bound elderly father to Shari’s for dinner… tugged at my heartstrings ’cause I just went thru the same thing with my father. Still, it was interesting because this(next to Lamb’s Thriftway) Shari’s is near my home and I’ve probably driven past it a few thousand times and this was the first time I’ve ever eaten there. Edited to add: So $ 11.99& $ 8.50 worked out to a very reasonable lightly buzzed $ 20.50 plus tip(including a little something for the unappreciated cook that has a giant menu to master). Maybe they should promote: «Free Prime Rib with purchase of $ 21 bottle of wine» Over all… good deal, clean, HUGE menu, and staff did not have a chip on their shoulder. Now about the Muzak… Any questions?

For some reason I used to perceive Shari’s to be a divey type of place. Maybe it’s changed, or maybe I only recently started paying attention, or maybe it’s this particular location. I used to go to shari’s for late night eats because they were the only place open after the bar closed, but I’m not a night owl(or barfly) anymore, so now I usually go for late breakfast. My experience at this location has always been very good service and high-quality food. Typically I don’t mind paying more to eat somewhere that is clean and well maintained. This is why I’m always surprised when I go here. Tables are cleaned promptly, seating is always quick, food and service are consistently good. Other than that, it’s a typical chain diner.

Fun for a night adventure when you’re hungry but don’t want fast food. Pies are ok, super sugary and over processed. Got the strawberry pie one night and it was so congealed you could hardly see the strawberry. Oh and they only give like 6 fries with their burgers… I’ll be back though, maybe just ask for more fries.

Wondered why I was the only customer there at 5:30AM. Tried a ‘Honored Citizen” breakfast: one egg, a lone sausage link, toast, lots of hash browns, and a mini-carafe of industrial grade coffee. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good. $ 10 with tip. Must have cost even more for«Dishonored Citizens». I’ll be glad when our kitchen remodel is over and I can cook my own breakfast.

We love coming here! The people are fantastic and we always get great service! My husband and I come to reconnect in the mornings or over lunch as we live a mile down the street and Michael was one of the FANTASTIC servers! I like the pie(Lemon cheesecake) and you have GOT to try their cranberry chicken sandwich trio! Its my fave! Half sandwich, salad and a piece of pie. :D
