Shear Compulsion

I’ve been going to Shear Compulsion since their opening 4 – 5 years ago. My stylist is Michaela and she is top notch, the best! On the few occasions over the years when she was not available the other stylists there who cut my hair were all fantastic. Never had anything but an excellent cut. The staff is extremely friendly and the salon is always bright and clean. If you’re looking for a new stylist give Shear Compulsion a try. I highly recommend them.

I was looking for an affordable salon to get a haircut. I found Shear Compulsion here, but wasn’t so sure as there were only two reviews for it. After doubting for some time, I decided to give it a try as I thought it would be at least better than a chain salon. I finally made an appointment, but when I got to the area, I started doubting again as it was not in a very nice location. However, when I walked in, I really liked the salon. It was clean and looked great. The salon owner, which was my stylist, was a really nice lady. She listened to me and asked for my opinion when she was done. She had a smile on her face all the time. My haircut cost $ 18 and I walked out happily. So, if you are looking for an affordable haircut and want to have a good experience with a nice stylist who respects you, go to Shear Compulsion.

Good haircut, inexpensive, super friendly staff. I’ve been to fancy Boston salons and gotten haircuts no better than than here for about 3x the price. Comfortable atmosphere, very easy to get an appointment, convenient hours, free parking immediately outside. Every time I’m in and out in 20 minutes and with a smile on my face.

I was going to my stylist I had for years. she went on vacation and My waxer told me about a great small place on saint Johns st. (I was a little weary at first because of the location) but It was beautiful inside! And I love how I got a space for parking right out front. without paying like in the old port. I went to Joseph and I LOVED my hair. he took his time really listens to what I was looking for and explained everything to me. I payed the same price as I did with my stylist in the old port, but I got a cut, color and highlights instead of just a cut and one color. I love this new place. I will definitely be back thank you Joseph! After my hair was done he showed me the spa in the back of the salon. I will stay with my waxer but I will be back to try the massage with my husband soon. I was very surprised and relaxed when I saw the spa. nice staff and welcoming environment. I felt very much at home.
