I don’t live in Portland, but I think it is my favorite place to buy things because Oregon has no sales tax. I don’t like paying for sales tax, especially for more expensive items, so I was looking for places to purchase some UGG boots online, tax-free. Last week I found Sheepskin of Oregon on Amazon, and I immediately added it to my list of potential places to purchase my UGGs. When I checked again on Thursday night, every place was sold out of the size I needed(and for some reason ONLY that size), and Sheepskin of Oregon’s listing wasn’t on Amazon anymore. I was afraid they were out as well, but just to be sure, I checked their actual website. It said they only had one left in the style and size I wanted(Bailey Bow, kids 4), and it was priced lower than it was everywhere else, so I immediately jumped at the chance and purchased them. And I am so glad that I did. You see, I placed my order in the wee hours of Friday morning, around 2 to 4AM. And typically online retailers require additional processing time and you have to order by a certain day and whatnot. I only received emails saying my order was complete since I chose the free shipping option, so I didn’t know when it was going to be shipped out or when I was going to receive it. I was expecting for it to come in on Tuesday or Wednesday, or Monday at the very earliest. To my surprise, it came in today. ANDIT’S SUNDAY. I didn’t think it could be my order as the package didn’t come from Oregon, and I thought there was no way it could be in so soon. But I opened it, and surely enough it was the UGGs I ordered. I’m not completely sure when it was shipped, but most likely it was on Friday, so they sent it out just hours after I placed my order. I don’t like paying for shipping or waiting for an order to come in, so shipping cost and speed are two things that help determine whether or not I’ll make another purchase from a store. The fact that my order was sent out as fast as it was and came in so quickly tells a lot about the business and its service. Also, the actual ordering process/transaction was very simple and easy, which is another plus. I would have liked to have been notified when my order was shipped, even though it actually makes waiting for it seem much longer, but considering it came in so quickly, I don’t mind that I didn’t receive a notification. I’m planning on buying UGGs for my sisters for Christmas, and since my experience was such a great one, I will definitely be buying them from Sheepskin of Oregon They sell a lot more products than just UGGs, so I think this is a great place to check out for all things sheepskin :) FYI: They offer backordering, which most, if not all, clothing and department stores don’t do, and it’s pretty annoying when you want to order something, but you’re not able to because it’s not in stock, rather than being put on a waiting list. So I think it’s good that they offer that. Also, Sheepskin of Oregon is an UGG authorized retailer, so you don’t have to worry about the authenticity of their products.

Get. Your. Winter Slippers. Here. Your feet will be grateful. Pretty much anything made from sheepskin can be found here. I know I’m writing this review about sheepskin while it’s 90+ degrees outside. So bookmark it, already. I spent 40-ish bucks on my wife’s last pair of slippers and they lasted 10 years. A nice little run, I think. Sooner or later it’s gonna get cold again and your tootsies will be glad that you came here.

This might be the oldest continuously open business in this neighborhood — by far. I’ve shopped there for a long, long time. The owner, John, is super nice, onsite, and knowledgable. I called the other day regarding wool mattress pads. Sheepskin of OR had them to try and, though my size wasn’t in stock, they ordered for me. Price reasonable. Effortless. They have a huge selection of slippers, Uggs, sheepskin throws, car seat covers — everything. I will definitely be shopping there for slippers and any other sheepskin things on my list.

from the outside it looks like a upholstery shop. as i peered through the window to my surprise, i spot ugg boots. all around the store i see seat covers, rugs, throws, boots all made of sheep skin. a pelt runs about $ 86 and up. the salesman offered me help and i just asked for ugg boots $ 147 for the shorts ones(no sales tax!) and ear muffs. great customer service and you can’t beat the prices esp. since there’s no sales tax.
