It’s been a month since my last haircut with Jeremy and I’m still amazed at how awesome my hair has grown with his terrific cut. On top of that, the advice he’s given me on how to treat my hair to keep it healthy and happy (even with my unruly curly type) has left my hair in better shape than I could have imagined! Jeremy has changed the way I’ve thought about my hair’s health, and brought me more confidence in my hair style as well as my overall well-​being. This goes to say the most rewarding aspect of sitting down in Jeremy’s chair is the great conversation that stems from his passion and knowledge in areas that go beyond just a great cut and style. He’s everything you want in an honest, knowledgable, and passionate hairstylist. Thank you Jeremy for EVERYTHING! You really have made an impact on my day-​to-​day living!

I thought the last haircut was the best I ever had, but Jeremy did it again! He is a true artist who takes the time to sculpt your hair in the best way possible. You always feel like you are the most important client he has and EVERYONE notices what a great new hairstyle you have. Thanks Jeremy!!!

I usually don’t buy Groupons for haircuts as I’m fanatical about my hair (who isn’t) but it was a good deal and I had read the previous reviews. I’m happy to say that the experience was great! The online scheduling was SO helpful and after talking with him completely necessary as he’s a one-​man operation. I arrived to find him having a heated argument with his client which made me feel really awkward but after learning it was his best friend that made me feel better.
The cut is the best cut I’ve ever had and I will definitely be going back! I’m pretty low maintenance but I love a good edgy, fun style and he delivered. He spent time talking with me about my hair and what I wanted. I love that he dry cut it and actually respected that I was trying to keep my length. I never love my haircut right off the bat, it usually takes me time to grow to be okay with it but after the second day when I did it I’m freaking in love!

Having VERY curly hair, I am very selective about who I let cut my hair. There are many stylists that do not know how to cut curls. When I find someone that knows how to work with my hair, I stick with them. I have been coming to Jeremy for 2 years now and have always left VERY happy with the work that he does.
In the last year, I have been growing my hair out again. As the curls grow, it is necessary to reshape them. I trust him to change the shape of my hair as it grows. I do not give him too many directions, and the cut that I get is always much better than anything I had envisioned. I RECOMMEND HIS WORK HIGHLY.
He is not only an exceptional stylist, he is an amazing human being with integrity and a big heart.

A+++++. Just finished cut & color. This was my first time at the salon and Jeremy went out of his way to make me comfortable. He KNOWS hair. The color is amazing and the cut is perfect. He has some great ideas about future directions too. Very highly recommended.

I moved to Portland about a year ago from San Francisco where I was going to the same hair person for 10 years. Yea — try to live up to that! Jeremy did an excellent job. He didn’t just dive right in. He looked at my hair talked to me about my expectations and then pretty much delivered. I was super nervous because even though hair grows out, you have to live with it till it does. I was very happy with the results and will be going back. He’s also a lot of fun to chat with while he’s working his magic. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

I was visiting Portland for the first time from San Francisco and scheduled with Jeremy who I learned is a perfectionist and excellent hair dresser. I’ve been trying to grow my hair long and healthy and he cut just the right amount off with no surprises. I appreciated him finishing within the hour and for the conversation we had. I would highly recommend Sheer Couture if you have a hair style in mind or would like an opinion from a pro.

Jeremy is brilliant! I went in planning to get a simple hair cut (boring) and ended up walking away with an amazing style. You can tell he is passionate about what he does. This was my best Groupon purchase yet.

Trying out a new salon is scary for as my hair has always been a source of crisis for me. I need a partner in crime to be as dedicated to my hair success as I am — and someone that can have a vision for me.
I walked in to Sheer Couture today and was immediately blown away by Jeremy’s positive attitude. He had great energy, a good smile and was willing to help. He asked what I wanted and when I helplessly looked at him with confused eyes, he took charge. He made reccomendations based on the look I felt I had in mind, along with suggestions of hair color and style.
I told him I trusted his opinion and the result is AMAZING! I am thrilled with the overall look and the reception I received from friends. Plenty of compliments and they are all due to Jeremy!

I have been back twice since my original review, and both of those times I got a cut, highlights, and a deep treatment. My hair has never felt or looked better! Jeremy is AWESOME! He also did my boyfriend’s hair, and it was definitely the best haircut he has ever received!

Jeremy has done an exceptional job again. I hope Unilocal actually counts this review this time… I look and feel like a million bucks! Good job dude. Will definitely be back again. Gotta love that look of appreciation I get from my wife when she sees how great my hair looks.

I bought a Groupon for Jeremy and almost missed the appointment because I couldn’t find the right suite in this rather confusing building. Thank goodness it worked out. He’s not int the mellow, luxurious spa feel kind of guy, and he isn’t good about returning phone calls. But when the appointment actually occurred he gave me one of the best haircuts of my life. I just used another Groupon that I bought about the same time for Identity Salon and got one of the worst cuts, ever. I’ll go to Jeremy to try to have it fixed, then I’ll just stick with him. :)

I bought a Groupon, excited, after reading good things about this salon. Unfortunately I had to get a refund and go elsewhere due to their extreme lack of customer service.
I bought my Groupon on a Saturday and quickly called the salon to schedule an appointment. It was noon, so definitely in their 8am-​7pm hrs they list on the website. No answer and just got voicemail. Ok, so it’s Saturday and they could be really busy. Called again on my lunch during the 1 o’clock hr. No answer yet again so I leave a message telling them I’m really wanting to schedule an appointment and give them my phone number. 4 o’clock rolls around and I haven’t gotten a call back, so I decide to try again. No answer. Again, at 6 o’clock I call and no answer again!!! I leave one more message.
So, then they are closed Sunday and Monday. I figure Tuesday I will get a call back, but of course they never called back. Wednesday I called Groupon customer service and got a refund.
A salon, or any business for that matter, is pretty useless if they don’t answer the phone and don’t respond to messages.

The deep conditioning treatment that Jeremy offers is incredible! He takes his time, laughs and blasts the music! Jeremy so clearly loves his work, that it’s contagious! It’s so nice to go see someone who is not just ‘at work…’ but truly being passionate about his work. Thanks Jeremy!

I used a Groupon here and my expectations were highly exceeded. Jeremy’s a true professional and it’s clear he enjoys what he does. Great service and great styles!

I just went and saw jeremy and i told him that I wanted to donate my hair to locks of love. He warned me about cutting off all that hair at once and he took two hours to consult my hair style. I left it in his hands and he successfully cut off 25 inches off and gave me one of the best hair cuts of my life…

I just had the deep conditioning treatment and a hair cut done by Jeremy and it was amazing! My hair feels like silk and the cut is exactly what I wanted! It’s amazing how many stylists screw up a simple hair cut with some layers, but not Jeremy! What a relief to have found sheer couture. Plus Jeremy’s personality is so funny we were chatting and having a great time during the whole experience!

Jeremy rocks. Seriously. I hadn’t had a haircut in months – was totally shaggy. He sat me down, looked at my face, grabbed 3 colors and just went for it. 2 hours later, I had a tri-​color mowhawk with the most kick-​ass designs… unbelievable. His work is diverse, fun, clean, and incredibly accurate. Jeremy’s creativity is unsurpassed and his up-​beat personality makes for a great conversation.
Really. Give Jeremy a shot. He’s rad.
