Really appreciated the patient and professional help from Chris and Dennis at the Help Desk troubleshooting my problem with my I-​Phone that had been run over by a car last week. It would power up, but the blank screen did not respond at all. My fear was that I had lost my contacts for good since they weren’t backed up in the Cloud where I thought they were. They tried different things to see if they could get them transferred to my Mac Book Pro, but the two devices had not been set up to synch to my I tunes, so no go. Thank goodness for Dennis’s suggestion that I might be able to get the phone working by changing out the screen. He suggested the Gadget-​Fix store a few blocks a way as a possible source for this repair. It was a long shot, but it worked, much to my surprise and joy! Thank you so much, Dennis, for coming up with this idea, and thank you both for the help getting my Mac Book Pro up to speed, too. I love that the Mac Store, now Simply-​Mac, hasn’t changed in terms of the quality of personnel who work there. The Help Desk are terrific problem solvers and some of the nicest and most compassionate techies you’d ever want to meet. Simply-​Mac also has knowledgeable sales people to help you with upgrades or figuring out the best Apple purchase for your needs. Not as frenetic as an Apple Store.

iPhone user for years, recently visited this store to purchase new iMac, MacBook Pro and 3TB Time Capsule so I can finally go full Apple! Decent experience until Friday AM 10/​16/​2015. I popped in for some help with my iPhone 6+. Before I could explain what I needed the young man stopped me cold after learning I’m not w/​AT&T… I guess since I’m Verizon I’ll have to bring my Apple concerns elsewhere???

One of the keys on my Macbook fell off and needed to fix it before selling it. I stopped by on my way to a job, thinking I could just drop off my Macbook like when it used to be The Mac Store. The receptionist said I may have to wait half an hour for an available tech to diagnose the issue. I only had 10 minutes to spare but a tech was visible right away and about five minutes later, came back with the key replaced and fixed. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. And though I had Applecare, they weren’t going to charge me anything.
Only if parking around there was as easy…

My iPhone 5s camera and flash randomly stopped working. Stopped in at Dimply Mac, had been a customer of the Mac Store in the same location previously.
Did not have an appointment so I waited a good while til they could take a look at my phone. Matt did a killer job. Found that the camera wasn’t seated properly and after troubleshooting and trying a few things he got it all back together and working. Highly recommended!

I *may* have dropped my iphone one too many times, and this time the touch screen stopped working. I could tell when people called/​messaged, but couldn’t view anything beyond the lock screen. Very frustrating. So at the recommendation of my friend, and to avoid the chaos that is the pioneer place Apple Store, I went to Simply Mac. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and I didn’t have an appointment but they still met with me within a half hour. The man who worked with my phone was a great problem solver and despite his suspicion that I’d need a screen replacement, he tried a few other tricks first. At one point, he actually took HIS phone screen off and put it on mine in order to run diagnostics on mine. So kind! They had to send it away to be fixed but in the end it only cost around $ 130 and it took just a few days to get it back. They also gave me a loaner iPhone while mine was being fixed.
All around great experience in a situation that could have been rather unpleasant.

I saw the recall for the camera in the iPhone. I called Simply Mac and made an appointment. The only store that was able to do the service was at the Lloyd center– I live in Gresham. I made an appointment and drove in– no parking since there are tons of construction. Parked 4 blocks away and walked in on time for my appointment. When called up I was told that the cameras had not come in from Apple. I asked why no one had called so I wouldn’t have come in and was told-​” we have been busy”. I was very upset and the tech said he would order one specifically for me so that it would be here and they would call when it came in. A whole month went by from Sept 1 to Oct 1. I called on Oct 1 and was told that «something happened» that the cameras had come in and apparently I fell thru the cracks again!!! I made another appointment and Dennis took care of me. That night my phone discharged faster than usual and I put it in the charger. Next day 2% charged and it kept shutting off. I called and of course, no tech service on Sunday! I have researched online the possible causes and ALL point to the camera issue being fixed affecting the battery. I have followed all the recommendations– holding down sleep/​wake with home button, etc. and nothing. I use this phone for work and am sooooooooooooooo upset. Now I have to bring it back again– lose work time and — well I won’t say what I am thinking. I am going in this am– losing time from work driving 40 miles RT AGAIN! — to get it fixed I hope. I am very displeased with the «service» at this store. stay tuned for the follow up.

What is happening to Apple /​Mac? At one time they were an amazing company, and all their retail stores reflected this. I tried to purchase a battery that costs $ 55, but because it is something that they deem the customer cannot install themselves (we can) they have pumped up the price to $ 129 and pretend they offer free installation. I’m getting rather sick of these tactics. Apple is now part of the problem, where they used to have solutions. The people who work at Simply Mac have zero good will and are full on automatons that have drunk the Apple Kool Aid and are no longer part of the human race. Simply Mac employees will not bend over backwards for you like they used to. Someone’s been telling them to stop. And they’ve listened. The customer is never right.

I came here because the Simply Mac on Cedar Hills said they couldn’t diagnose a screen issue with my phone. The phone worked except for the touch screen was not responding at all. Siri and the rest of the phone worked. The phone had been having issues for a while.
I was told for 140 they would swap the screen since the phone was out of warranty. I left the phone with them. Later they called to tell me that the screen could not be swapped and I would have to pay 269.
When I asked what had happened to the phone, what exactly was wrong, the ‘tech’s’ answer was ‘it doesn’t work’. I wanted to know if a part had gone bad or a wire or what specific issue was causing the screen failure. I asked again and was told again. It will cost 269. We will replace it. The phone doesn’t work.
I am completely dissatisfied with their response. ‘It doesn’t work’ is not a diagnosis. I picked up the phone and later found out that they had removed the sim and the phone no longer worked via Siri.
I called Apple. They’ve fixed the issue by replacing the phone at no charge. I refused to drive back to get the sim. Verizon issued me a new one.
I won’t be back to Simply Mac. Wasted three hours driving back and forth and on the phone and they didn’t do anything to diagnose or fix my phone.
