Andrea is so gosh darn wonderful. I feel so lucky to be able to go to her for acupuncture. She’s kind, a listening ear, and knows her way around some needles. Her clinic is comfortable, warm, and conveniently located. I can’t recommend her enough!

It has taken me far too long to write this review, but Andrea is without a doubt, deserving of a 5 star review. I went to Andrea after I had tweaked my back by sleeping in a weird position on a plane and the pain was alleviated nearly immediately. On my request, Andrea dove into my longer-​term, chronic ailments regarding general sleep issues and allergies. I felt listened to and taken care of.
As a result of our 6 or so sessions trying various things that brought immense value to my day-​to-​day life, she suggested I see a specialist to better understand my sleep issues specifically. I wouldn’t have otherwise taken these steps without her advice and care, and come to find out, I have narcolepsy (that I am now treating)! This has been a major revelation in my life, and I would have been totally in the dark without working with Andrea.
She is professional, warm, knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate — all the things you could ever hope for in a person caring for your health!

About Singing Bird, and Andrea Fisk, where do I begin? I was in a bad place both physically and mentally when I stumbled across Andrea. I was getting no help through my Primary Care Provider and my pain was beginning to be debilitating. After two years of pain my PCP finally said «Well I could give you a referral for acupuncture?» and I said I would try anything. I had no experience with Chinese medicine or Acupuncture so I was dubious but also desperate.
My first meeting with Andrea was, dare I say, magical. She understood my feelings and my frustration almost intuitively. She prescribed some herbal therapy and began acupuncture. And, even though I couldn’t walk for a day and a half after the first treatment, I felt as though someone understood me and cared about my general wellbeing.
I saw Andrea for the better part of a year and my pain is almost resolved. I see light at the end of my tunnel. I no longer have a bad life because of pain. No it’s just the occasional irritating bout. Andrea doesn’t just treat symptoms. She treats the Whole person with compassion and great empathy. She is funny and kind and shares her life with you as if you were a friend.

If someone would have told me as a child that I would actually appreciate having needles stuck into me, I would have told them they were crazy. I have been going to Andrea for several years and have been treated for several different medical conditions, from menopause, to back pain, allergies, and TMJ. I had the choice of treating my symptoms with prescription medications, but I feel a holistic way of your body treating itself makes much more sense. Andrea is very compassionate and gentle in her treatments and explains everything, what the treatment is doing and how it works with the body. I have recommended Andrea to several of my family members and friends who have also had great results. Andrea’s understanding of Chinese Medicine and her knowledge of herbal supplements makes for a comforting experience.

Having never tried Traditional Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture myself before, I took my 2 year old daughter there out of desperation. My daughter had experienced extremely interrupted sleep and our entire family was suffering. Additionally, my daughter just didn’t seem well due to her exhaustion and anxiety. We had tried everything short of going to a Pediatric Sleep Specialist. The last time I saw a pediatrician and brought this up the doctor suggested a sticker chart. I almost laughed out loud.
Andrea was wonderful with my child and put her at ease. She took her time and did a thorough but gentle assessment of our situation. Her treatment included herbs, advice on things my spouse and I could do to relieve the anxiety about sleeping, and instruction for home massage. One of the most helpful things was just having someone give me their entire attention and take in our whole situation. As a parent, some issues that go on become so overwhelming it is really helpful to take a breather and let someone else in to help.
The first night my daughter took the herbs she slept the entire night, something that had NEVER happened since birth. As her new sleeping pattern solidified she gradually took fewer and fewer herbs and now we just use them when we have an unusual circumstance, like travel or illness. Now I am seeing Andrea periodically myself for emotional and physical support. I feel that I get a great deal out of my time with her. She is many things: an empathetic and thoughtful listener, an insigthtful advisor, and an skillful acupuncturist and herbalist. I have recommended her to friends for pediatiric and adult care.

I started seeing Andrea about two months ago, she was warm and welcoming as we went through my medical history. I was having pain in my upper back/​neck area, but she took in the «whole picture» of my health (which includes autoimmune issues). She was extremely knowledgeable and made great suggestions for lifestyle adjustments, in addition to her acupuncture treatment.
After the first appointment I noticed relief and continued seeing her for about five sessions. She is very in tune to your individual needs and how reactive you are to the treatment. After those sessions we agreed that I no longer needed regular appointments since my pain was gone.
I will continue to see her as needed in the future and recommend her to anyone who asks!

Whenever I see Andrea, I feel lighter, happier, and can breathe easier. Literally. She’s the reason I only use one asthma medication. And, it’s not just because of her expert knowledge of acupuncture or her dedicated understanding of Chinese Medicine, either.
She integrates a full understanding of both with nutrition and whole self healing.
For those of you afraid of needles, I felt the same way!!! Andrea is so gentle and soothing, and she massages the area where the needle goes so that often, I feel nothing. Sometimes, it even feels good.
And, I always leave feeling great: relaxed and energized!
As others have said, going to Andrea is like seeing a good friend — who really cares about your health. I can honestly say that I’m a happier and healthier person because of Andrea Fisk. And, I am so grateful.

Seeing Andrea is a delightful part of my week. She’s got a very warm and friendly personality, a wonderful office, and extremely friendly and helpful front office staff.
Her acupuncture work is in some ways, the lightest I’ve ever felt… but then we get more aggressive with points directly in my tender abdomen. I’ve seen a number of acupuncturists, and no one has ever tried that one before. It often provides complete pain relief for an entire day or more… which is a big thing for me.
Yes, I have to drink her terrible (but inexpensive!) herbs… and they do taste foul… but what I don’t need to do is feel terrible all the time with a chronic ailment. Like all her other treatments, I’ve found Andrea’s naturopathic recommendations to be very helpful as long as I keep up with them.
Highly recommended to anyone suffering from chronic pain, tiredness, or just stress. Nothing works for everyone, but you’ll probably feel better after seeing Andrea!

I’ve had really bad seasonal allergies all my life and have been taking prescription meds all those years to try to deal with the allergies. I got to a point where I was completely fed up of relying on meds to just barely survive spring and summer in Portland. I found Andrea online about a year and a half ago and she has been a life saver! Through acupuncture and herbs I am getting through allergy season without prescriptions! I still have allergy attacks and probably always will but the acupuncture resets me and makes me feel so much better.
I have seen Andrea for other ailments as well. She is very compassionate and understanding and if something isn’t working she will keep trying until she figures out the best remedy for me. I also really like that she explains Chinese medicine to me in terms I can understand.
If you have never had acupuncture and are nervous to try it you have nothing to fear with Andrea, she will make you feel comfortable and safe. Oh and she sees patients two evenings a week and on Saturdays so I don’t have to leave work to come for an appointment and she bills my insurance. I can say nothing but great things about Andrea I feel very fortunate that I found her!

Andrea convinced me that there WAS something I could do about my allergies. I told her I’d taken prescriptions since I was young, and most of those did little. Being allergic to pollens, most pollens, you know trees, grasses, flowers. I’ve grown used to living with the runny nose, itchy eyes and scratchy throat. Always dreading passing by the freshly mowed lawn and having my eyes and throat swell.
I told Andrea that I’d try anything she could throw at me. So she did. She started by saying it wasn’t going to be easy, I think she actually called it «work.» Which is only somewhat correct. A few treatments on her table and battery of herbs, a recommended LOCAL allergy aid, and a few other home tricks to do daily and I feel better than I have in any allergy season I can remember. I do mean ANY! I had to give it a couple test runs, but I don’t ever remember being able to go down to the river and not suffer from the Cotton Woods.
She knows what she’s doing. Andrea is very precise and communicates very effectively.
I’m a new patient and look forward to my future visits, when allergies don’t have to be our focus.

For years, I’d been keeping the idea of trying acupuncture in my back pocket, something to hold on to if I couldn’t progress any further with traditional Western medical treatment for my progressive neuropathy/​neuritis and other debilitating symptoms stemming from Sjogren’s Syndrome. I was drawn to Andrea Fisk after noting her experience at The Chicago Institute of Neuroresearch and Neurosurgery; it gave me great hope.
I have been seeing Fisk for over 7 months now, and I have had remarkable results from a combination of acupuncture, moxibustion and Chinese herbs I take in as an herbal tea daily. I have far less pain in my feet and hands; my energy is the best it has been in years, which is saying something for a busy Mom. I was able to work in my local school district this year, and recently became a Zumba fitness instructor, something I didn’t think was possible.
