Ordered a margarita pizza for pick up, tomatoes were on side and there was only cheese covering 1⁄3 of pizza with just sauce and dough covering the rest. We took it back and were told that this is how it comes… tomato on the side for a margarita? If the sauce and dough had been anything to get excited about it should have been fine, but both were pretty flavorless. They did give us a few slices of their pepperoni when we took the pizza back which were ok and this is the only reason I choose to give them a 2 over a 1.

Very average pie but far from the worst I’ve had. $ 4 slices and proximity to work will probably lure me here once in a while, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it.

Pretty good pizza. Okay, I’ll elaborate. It’s a slightly puffy(for lack of a better word) crust. The toppings were good, on the greasy side I dig. Counter dudes were cool, they take cards via Square(or something like it, memory is fuzzy) and they have seating inside their room or out in the main Zipper space. Eat Slice. It’s good.

As far as pizza goes for this town, Slice fits in with most of the places around. But I also have some high standards. Granted, I have yet to make it to Apizza Scholls, I’ve still enjoyed some places around PDX that are right up there, if not better. That and I grew up in the the NY/NJ area and yeah, yeah yeah… Chicago pizza has it’s place, but it’s not something you can enjoy everyday, without consulting a doctor about your now high cholesterol. That being said, Slice has a decent pizza. $ 4 a pop. It still needed an extra something to get it over the top, but when you are hungry and in the neighborhood, this will do fine. I’ll admit, I’m not running across town to get this like i’d quite possibly do for free PREAM pizza, but it’s a good slice nonetheless. Although comparing the two is like apples and oranges. Totally different animals. Slice makes a good greasy pizza. That’s a good thing! Mine had pepperoni. The cheese was good, the sauce needed a little more seasoning to it but otherwise the pizza was good. The crust was also good and not soggy. Limp pizza is no good… am I right ladies??? Sorry. Anyways, the Zipper has many different offerings if pizza isn’t what you crave on this day and I’ve now tried three of the places. They all hold up well. As for Slice? It fits in with everything else here and go get you some. Enjoy.

I was here in the summer, but the Unilocal profile wasn’t set up, and I wasn’t sure I had the name right, so I was hesitant to go first. Atmosphere is almost irrelevant, since most people will take their pizza to the common seating area. For what it’s worth though, it wasn’t a bad place to eat. Materials(counter, stools, etc) weren’t junk, and the music was okay(obviously subject to change at any moment). It was outrageously hot, but I guess that’s not going to bother anybody now. My slices came in a foil-lined plastic basket. I hate that, but that’s the way it has to be at The Zipper. I had a couple slices. They were okay. You could do a lot worse. In fact, I really had no specific complaint about them. They just weren’t great. Sorry to be so vague, but it’s hard to be specific about a product that’s just generically decent. Pricing seemed a little high, 4.00 to 4.50 for a average-sized slice.

Garbage. I live in the neighborhood & was excited for another spot for a slice, but this was terrible. Tastes like those $ 2 CostCo slices. How about going down to Scotty’s Pizza on Division for a legit slice for $ 2. Or better yet go to Baby Doll on SE Stark &28th-ish. Zero personality. Feels like a pizza franchise by numbers. What do you expect from a former pawn shop owner? Plus, a big thumbs down for lack of creativity & using a name that is already being used by another spot in town. Avoid.

Pizza was very good and reasonable… $ 4.00 for any Slice. Love the Alligator sausage! My friends got something from 2 of the other restaurants & we sat outside next to one of two fire pits. Cold beer, pizza, phở, jambalaya, fire pits & friends. can’t beat that!

Slice Pizza is the new kid on the block. It offers informal dining, pizza by the slice(or whole), local brews, and a nice variety of pizza toppings. My favs are the cheese pizza and the sausage. They use great mozzarella and fresh vegetable toppings. Pricing is reasonable and the serving staff are super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely go back again.
