Solabee made one of the most stunning bouquets I have ever seen for my wedding day. I was having a garden wedding, and requested a downplay on florals and lots of cascading green. Peonies popped in all the right places, and«verdant» immediately came to mind when I picked it up. I was blunt about my costs and Solabee was able to work with my $ 175 budget to really produce something… just so stunning. I was in awe. In addition to the bouquet, I had requested to personally pick-up some corsages and five large peony blooms on the big day. I had my brother-in-law pick them up and everything looked perfect – except, I realized, the peonies. They were tightly bound and despite cooing, warm water, blow dryers, and other various tips from the web, we could not get them to bloom. I had planned to give one of each bloom to my bridal party, but as they weren’t budging out of bud-hood I didn’t feel comfortable giving them to my girls. We called up Solabee, and they got our predicament right away. They delivered to our hotel an amazing set of stunning fully bloomed peonies just in time for us as we were getting ready to head out! Great service, amazing design work, I would recommend anyone to Solabee for their florist needs.

Plant shop dreams come true. Solabee shares a space with another shop called Boy’s Fort and is such a gem of a shop. They always have a great assortment of plants — lots of variety and all very healthy, and also do beautiful very natural organic arrangements. I got a bouquet here once that was just stunning(will post a photo later if I remember) and had garden roses, poppies, and little branches of blueberries and blackberries among other things! I’ve also purchased several plants here, and they are all doing well, and were repotted by the staff at Solabee into beautiful handmade planters that I purchased there as well. On top of this, the staff are always super friendly, patient, and very informative. I love stopping in here even if I’m not buying anything because it is just a beautiful little plant oasis and I always leave feeling so happy.

This place is great! I’ve been needing to repot my work plant for a very, VERY long time(at least a year. Don’t judge me). Part of the dilemma was the lack of desire to lug the plant home on the max and then lug it back to work. Also, I didn’t feel like buying a huge bag from Fred Meyers nor dig around in other woodsy for dirt… so it dawned on me to look and see if there were any nearby plant shops that could help me out. A nice woman over the phone advised me that they could sell dirt by the scoop, but as I sat on the phone with my mouth hanging open trying to figure out how much dirt I would need, she offered to repot it for me! Apparently this service exists(obviously I’m not a plant person). Well needless to say, since it was only a few blocks away from my work, I flew down there with my pot in hands. I was surprised to see just how cute the place was! Once again, I’m not a huge plant person(the plant in question was passed down to me by a departing co-worker) but I found myself mulling over the possibilities of actually having live plants in my apartment. The goods were very enticing! It’s actually a great fit with the shop next door even though they don’t sell anything remotely similar. The nice woman took my plant from me and repotted it under 10 minutes. All in all, possibly cost me way less than buying a gigantic bag of dirt at Fred Meyers. She even provided me with a little background on my plant(all I knew before was that it was weird looking). If I have any planting needs in the future I will be back here in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Solabee did my wedding flowers, and they went so far above and beyond that my wedding venue was transformed by their arrangements. We had a large garland with flowers that was the centerpiece of our wedding canopy, as well as all the bouquets and boutonnieres that were clearly each done with great care and attention to detail. Our wedding flowers were ethereal, creative, and in a gorgeous color palette– as well as being in season and eco-friendly. I worked with Sarah, who was so kind and a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive, answering all my questions and supplying our quote promptly. It was clear that she considered my wedding important and has integrity. I recommend giving these ladies some creative freedom– I described my idea and taste to them, and they created flower arrangements more beautiful than anything I could have micromanaged. Thank you Sarah and Solabee, you are great at what you do.

I love this cute plant shop. It’s very pleasant and the type you could spend a good hour in just staring at the arrangements wondering how you can make your house look just like it. It’s connected to a knick-knack shop that offers cool and trendy things for the home and yourself. I bumped into it while wandering the streets of Portland. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a full arrangement of succulents, plants and accessories. All at reasonable prices. I ended up walking out with a staghorn fern to fly back home with to NC.

We love Solabee. Our wedding flowers were better than we could have imagined. I asked for a «goth-outer space» vibe and was rewarded with beautiful arrangements of pods, horsetails, and deep purple blooms. These ladies have incredible creativity! Quirky yet beautiful. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Love love love this place! I walked in for the first time about a year ago just to check it out and I’m glad I did. I mentioned to the owner that I would like to start adding plants to the house but lacked a green thumb. I left the store with a hawthoria. The next time, a philodendron… and another. I’ve slowly been turning my living room into a jungle. The employees there are always helpful in choosing the best plants for your living space, giving care instructions, and repotting your plant in one of their cute pots. I can’t recommend this place enough and will be back!

Solabee did the flowers for my wedding. Sarah was very professional, responsive and flexible. She listened to what I was looking for and came up with beautiful arrangements and a hanging installation. She went the extra mile to resolve some last minute hiccups with flower availability and changes to the wedding party, I was very pleased and our guests loved the flowers!

The first MAX trains headed out of Portland were just too full to get on tonight without extreme discomfort(forget about getting a seat), so it was time to let go and just wait it out for the next train. It was super easy to let go at this stop because it is close to a couple of shops I had not had the pleasure of visiting, so no time like the present and in I went. Solabee shares a really prime little piece of downtown Portland real estate at 9th& Morrison and it does the neighborhood proud. I was greeted by a friendly employee(or proprietor?) and then allowed to wander and look and enjoy. I know they have flowers having seen some pictures of gorgeous arrangements, but I suspect they were all back in a cool place for the night. However, they had a wonderful assortment of succulents and various other objects, vases, pictures, and soaps, etc. I left feeling relaxed and ready for the next train and with the idea in my head I would like to come back here and buy in the future for family and friends.

Solabee recently relocated to a new downtown location where they share a space with Boy’s Fort. Boy’s Fort is alright, but I don’t think the store would be as complete or enticing without Solabee’s intricate succulent gardens displayed in every window. My office decided to get one of the larger succulent terrarium’s for the front desk. However, due to a combination of over-watering, fluorescent lighting, and general ignorance about succulents, our beautiful garden soon died. We thought that was the end of that, and my boss encouraged me to just take the terrarium home and attempt to revive it. I did, but on my way home, I stopped back at Solabee’s and told them what had happened. To my surprise, not only were they sympathetic to our mistakes, they also repotted some succulents inside for me, charging me just for the new plants, but not the full price we had paid for the terrarium a matter of weeks ago. I thought that was really cordial of them. I also took down explicit instructions with me because I didn’t want to repeat my mistakes. I learned the plants should be near a window and get plenty of natural light, that they really should not be watered more often than once every three months in the winter, that that the air plants need to be dipped in water once a week in so for fifteen minutes. Our terrarium is starting to look really gorgeous and the plants are flourishing. I am so happy Solabee gave me a second chance to learn about succulents and I promised to tell everyone I know about their friendly, thoughtful service. I’ll be sure to head back here whenever I need something gentle, dry, and green. If you’re thinking about something living and easy to take care of, I highly recommend Solabee’s.
