It’s great to have a nice wine bar in our neighborhood. The wines are good and so are small plates of food. It has a nice atmosphere and does have outdoor seating which is nice in the summer. After being here several times I do feel a need to comment on the service. The first time I came it was with a group of ladies. We did have a «reservation» so they were prepared that 10 of would be showing up. There was no one else there, yet the waitress waited until after the happy hour time to come over to our table. The service was very, very slow. I’ve come several other times with 1 – 2 friends and again, only 2 – 4 others were there and again, the service was extremely slow. It has appeared that only one person is working, but still, in my opinion, the service could be better. I can’t imagine what the service would be like if the place was full! Again, good wine, food and atmosphere.

Loved the outside seating. We went because we had a groupon. The waitress was really nice and even brought my dog a bowl of water. I loved the wines the waitress picked out. Will be back for sure.

This place is fantastic, just what this neighborhood needed! Spoke and Vine is an all around wine destination. I have brought multiple girlfriends here and they all loved it too! It is a great place to relax, drink wine and have fun. They have a wonderful selection of bottles for sale at all price points. They have a great selection of wines by the glass as well, I love the rotating house wines. I highly recommend the pâté‘ last time I was there they had a country style and a mousse, so good. Great atmosphere too!

This is my first review on Unilocal.I’ve been browsing for years, but this establishment inspired me to finally write a review. The first thing I noticed was that the staff are all extremely courteous and accommodating. As someone who is new to the«Wine drinking» lifestyle they were very patient and informative while I explained what kind of taste I was looking for in my wine. Hands down, the best customer experience I’ve had at an alcohol establishment. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Soothing music plays in the background and helps to contribute to the atmosphere. Outdoor and indoor seating. Also, the establishment is conveniently located right by a Max stop. They also have a number of beers on tap, and a modest selection of snacks that seem to go well with wine(Being a wine novice, I can’t say with certainty what goes well with wine) I’ve been there twice and had a wonderful experience on both occasions.

I witnessed the traffic on I-5 south rather busy, so I made a detour and tried this new wine bar in Overlook. I’d previously seen folks drinking and dining on the sidewalk and I thought it looked very inviting. The proprietor appeared to be only one working, greeting guests, supplying drinks, and preparing lite snacks. It was a nice upscale-casual space. She mentioned the folks outside were all residents of the apartments above. I had a glass of the house Red Blend on tap. It was delightful, appropriately medium bodied with good fruit. $ 8. It was a Proletariat Red — from Boedecker. There were just two folks inside, the rest of the customers were outside. 6 or beers on draft. I thought their prices were a little high. Not offensive, just an observation. Lowest priced glass $ 7 — highest $ 13 or $ 15. The owner was kind, accommodating to her guests, and gave good information on the wine. I would come back for another glass. The backbar and other parts of the walls could use a little more décor and character.

Awesome new wine bar in the neighborhood. I’m all for the Mississippi bars a little further down Skidmore but this is just a welcome relief from the livelier crowd. The relaxed, upscale atmosphere is the perfect way to cap off dinner or just enjoy the weather on a beautiful day. They focus on regional wines and really know their stuff. They share knowledge if you want it and yet it’s not stuffy or pretentious. Haven’t tried many of the bites yet but the few I’ve tried were solid. Also hear there is a wine club coming! Glad this place opened. Prices are good, especially during happy hour.

Cute new wine bar in N Portland! 4+ tables outside in front, bar seating, and a long white booth around the whole back wall. $ 5 wine tasting tonight, and wine and beer on tap as well as bottles for sale! They also have cheese flights, charcuterie, pâté, and«sweets coming soon!»
