Springboard Pilates strikes the perfect balance of being true to the method of Joseph Pilates, meeting students at their level of capability and encouraging them to evolve in their practice. I’ve been a student a Springboard for 7 plus years now and I’m still amazed at the range of classes and instructors avaialble to work with. While staying committed to the method, they continue to evolve in different ways of instructing it. There’s always a workshop or monthly challenge to participate in if you so choose. Having had chronic back pain for years, Pilates is the consistent solution that’s helped me. I trust the instructors at Springboard with this(which is very important to me) and as my pain has flared, I’ve worked with them to adjust my practice as need be. Most of the time I’m there loving the challenge of taking my practice to the next level. Springboard Pilates is a great environment to do you;).

If you’re looking for a workout where you get stronger without hurting, Springboard Pilates is for you! I started there 4 years ago and I’m still finding new ways to get more out of my training and I’m never bored with my workouts(I’ve been known to get bored with other fitness activities). The staff is warm, welcoming and well trained, the studio well appointed. Check out Springboard, you won’t be sorry!

As an instructor myself I always go into other studios with a combination of excitement and hesitation… will it be like the studios I teach at, will it be too easy(or hard), how will I be received etc. I must say that Springboard met and exceeded many of my expectations. I went in for an early morning class and was pleased to find out that I was the only person signed up — this meant I got a little extra attention for my first class and would be able to really get a feel for the studio. I went in with an open mind — excited for a good workout and to feel like a student again. Well… I certainly did! The instructor, Ashley, took the time to evaluate my body type, posture & alignment and spoke with me about goals and suggested things that could be worked on to improve posture & alignment. Huge appreciation for that and slight discouragement seeing the impact of 12 – 14 hour workdays at a computer. Nonetheless — she had remedies and tips during the workout of how we were going to fix these misalignments. The workout itself was smooth, flowed well, and challenged me in ways that I am not able to challenge myself which is in having better form, better breathing and better postures. As an instructor it’s tough to give yourself that guidance and often you find yourself slipping into bad habits and squeezing workouts in in between clients instead of taking the time to go back to the basics. Plus, the studio space is beautiful with brick exposed walls, hard wood floors, warm & cozy lighting and inviting décor. It feels like someones living room and a great place to spend a chilly morning. Classes here would be great for those who are new to Pilates as well as for the more experienced clients really looking for some excellent instruction. I know I certainly felt like a student again — and I loved it. Can’t wait to go back!
