An intimate quirky café, with local comics and a mix of art. It’s quiet and comfortable, the service is friendly and attentive. A selection of local art and cards that I must come back for. A place I would hang out and study in, if I lived just a little closer. Get your nerd on, and support a local business. I know I will:)

Spent an afternoon getting some work done here. Really great atmosphere, solid internet connection, not too noisy. Great drink selection, cute décor, and really fun comic selection! Definitely will be back.

Perky, bright spirited, geeky and caffienated. We enjoyed our first stop in at our new neighborhood coffee place. I love the brightly painted chairs and walls, the sparkly stars in the ceiling, the window seat cushions. And they pulled a good shot. This one is pleased!

Cute little local coffee shop, with tea & non-compete options too. Nice selection of comics in the store, too!

Stopped by for the first time today and had an excellent cold brew and breakfast sandwich. I really like the atmosphere too. The proprietor and we had a very nice chat. I will definitely be returning and recommend this great neighborhood spot to my family and friends as well!

This is a locally owned place and it’s a bit different then the norm with comics and a figure drawing class on Wednesday nights. They are very kid friendly.

Delicious local coffee, pastries and comics. Bubble teas and snacks too. The ownership is really friendly and the space is very comfortable and quirky. They do board game nights sometimes, great way to meet folks. I had a cup of thai tea with boba added and a bear claw. Yum!

Yes, it’s true: I am a fan of the Spritely Bean. Terrific staff, quality coffees and teas, and tasty treats to eat. Plus the whole comic book angle is very refreshing. This is a quirky fun café that is worth checking out if you haven’t been yet.

This is my second time returning, after the first experience was mildly disappointing. The pastries look good and are from a local bakery in Portland. The staff offered to make a new drink for me on the house and it was delicious. Excited this has opened in the neighborhood.

Great new coffee shop and I love the location. The owners are hands down the best. They care about your experience and it shows. It is a comic café for all you Foster /Powell locals artists. The coffee is Water Avenue. That is very local and small batch roasted. There is Vietnamese iced coffee. a selection of loose teas and pastry’s. they offer breakfast bagels and other snack size bites. It is great to have the artsy café on Powell and 58th

My boyfriend and I dropped in to The Spritely Bean yesterday for the first time. He had a coffee from New Guinea that was rich and earthy. We both had a sandwich, his on a bagel and mine was a panini, they were both Delish! The vibe is relaxed, the space is comfortable, and the owner is absolutely the nicest guy. The kind of person you feel you’ve known for a long time, only you just met. Their menu is rather small however everything they serve looks to be high quality and delicious. It was still hard to decide what we wanted to order because the choices were all intriguing! I love supporting new local businesses! This one is absolutely one we’ll go back to on a regular basis! Check them out, this place really deserves to succeed!

This is a super-nice place to come and hang out. It’s comfortable, friendly and funky. If you want a comfy place to sit and chat with friends or read a book at leisure, this is a perfect little nook that not many people seem aware of yet. The servers when I’ve been there are the owners, a young couple who are very eager to make their shop work. I like to come to sit and draw; I’ve seen a lot of other artists here as well(they have a lot of comics for sale, which probably attracts local cartoonists). Their paninis smell and taste great.
