Sugar’s Barbecue and Catering

I just took Lynnae’s Backyard BBQ class and it was awesome! She is so open, friendly, sharing, and amazingly knowledgeable. It seems like one thing really strong cooks and chefs have in common is an almost obsessive attention to the details in cooking, and Lynnae is right up there among the top cooks. She had so many great tips that really showed how one of the differences between pretty good and great BBQ is the attention to detail. Her innumerable tips about the small tweaks used to make and apply sauces and rubs as well as how to choose your meat and place it just so on the smoker or grill have already made a substantial difference in the BBQ I make out on my back patio. I will totally recommend her class to friends. Oh yeah, and you get to eat all the awesome BBQ made during the class. On our day this included at least 4 kinds of ribs (including the best I’ve ever had (ever)), awesome sandwiches with BBQ tri-​tip, fresh baguette and pesto spread, two bacon explosions (latticed bacon stuffed with sausage and other assorted goodies), chicken thighs and half chickens, and slaw. Great way to spend a Saturday.

We hired Sugar’s BBQ catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely amazing! They set up a huge tasting for us to try all of the meats and sides we were interested in, and to give us an idea of what the setup would look like. On the day of, we had rain alter our plans and they worked seamlessly to change from an outdoor service to an indoor service. The food was extremely delicious (people are still talking about it), the service was beyond anything we could have ever asked for, and we even got to keep all the leftovers (lunch the next day was just as delicious!). I would recommend Sugar’s to anyone who wants mouthwatering BBQ, professional service, and truly good people! We’d hire them again in a heartbeat!

Yum yum yum! I was recently at a friend’s house for a BBQ and they had Sugars do the catering! What a smart idea and so delicious!
My favorite was the brisket with the sweet bbq sauce. My toddler ate the brisket too, which was surprising to me because he doesn’t usually like meat texture. But his favorite was definitely their beans with bacon. Oh my! So tasty! Oh, and he loved the bread that had a hint of cinnamon.
I’m glad to have found Sugars and will definitely be recommending them to my friends and I hope to throw a party soon where I can have THEM do the cooking!

We used Sugar’s for our Company’s Summer Picnic at Washington Park. Everyone enjoyed seeing the Pit in action as they drove up to the location. Her set up was perfect and very detailed, right down to the pickle tray that she put together. Her food was fabulous, in fact the staff have requested her food at other functions.
Definitely use Sugar’s for your next function – you will not be disappointed!

We had Lynette and Stephanie cater our wedding reception, and they made our party an event to remember! So many compliments about the food and friendly service – we will be contacting Lynette soon to cook for our annual summer party. Can’t say enough good things :-)
