Nice place but the clientele varies. Although there are very entertaining servers for karaōke, the rest of the time is just like being in a corner bar near PSU. The food wasn’t spectacular but if you’re there to drink and sing, it’s of no consequence. Parking lot is big but can fill up quickly. There was an odd murder case that was never solved but continues to haunt this atmosphere. People complaining about basic things a bar endures(some things will be dirty) in PDX are obviously from some pristine place where dirt disappears, instantly. We are inundated with 18 — 25 year olds. We don’t have sun for the majority of the year. It rains for a lot of it. People drink a lot. That’s why there are SO many bars here more than there are schools. Deal with it. Or go back to wherever you first watched Portlandia because that is not what this city is in reality.

Came on a Sunday for brunch and football with a group of 5, place was pretty empty, only about 8 people inside. Strange for a bar and grill on Sunday? Here’s why I gave 2 stars: Tables/chairs were dirty, I was afraid to sit with my back to the wall since the curtains were so dusty. The chairs were sticky and the silverware was dirty… Well we asked for silverware and were only given a knife, had to specify the whole set! Between the 5 of us we ordered 7 items from the menu. Tots, and burgers came out cold, and the wings tasted like they were just thawed. We asked for juice twice but never came. The only good thing was the shredded pork nachos. Sukis definitely for drinks only.

The best bartenders, the best atmosphere, the best karaōke. KJ Chris Green always makes sure you have a good night of singing. Love this place!

Nothing divey about the food at Suki’s. My two meals at Suki’s were excellent. The fish and chips were 3 thick cut cod that were lightly battered. The tarter sauce was full of tangy lemony flavor. I was happy to find my second meal of tacos were equally delicious. The chipotle sauce on the fish tacos had a nice kick. The pork carnitas tacos had generous mounds of pork with fresh pico de gallo draped on top. I covered all the tacos with the sides of tomatillo salsa and it was perfection. Next time, I am staying for Karaōke.

As strange as it sounds, i really like this place. It’s closer to my office, but overcrowded with students, and gas a decent happy hour, and delicious winds! I will definitely be back before too long.

Just no. It’s connected to a travel lodge, slightly dodgy. Run down. Servers were nice enough but the crowd was an odd mix.

This review is a little past due because last time I was at suki’s was my 21st birthday(4.5 years ago) but I am in the area and saw it was near by and I had such a good time I had to write a review. Suki’s was the 2nd bar I went too the night of my 21st… I was already a little tipsy and the best part bout suki’s was $ 116oz glasses of oatmeal stout. My friends loaded me up cause it was so much bang for the buck. I proceeded to kick ass at the pool table. I remember the bar staff being super friendly and out going. 4.5 years later I would still recommend going to suki’s for a good time! Thank you for the memories –Rian

Suki’s is exactly what you’d want in a dive bar — it looks like it should reek of cigarette smoke and broken dreams… but it doesn’t! They do, though, have lottery machines. Great drinks, really great fries, great service, great patio seating. I really have no complaints. For a sugar/liquor overload, try the Huckleberry Lemonade. Mmmm! Thanks for getting me inebriated, Suki’s!

Oh man. This place. Hahaha. I think in all actuality, it’s like a 2 – 3 star place but because it’s so silly, my friends and I had a blast. The karaōke crowd is GOOD, man. Like Star Search status good. Be warned. ;) Had tons of fun.

arrived in Portland last night from Los Angeles. This little gem was located conveniently below the inn I stayed in. Decided to have a late night meal after the flight. The menu was shockingly diverse and interesting for a place that has a dive bar feel. The happy hour prices are pretty incredible too. LOOVED the Asian nachos which are basically tempura chips with peanut sauce, onion, tomatoes… INCREDIBLE. Two of favorite things EVER combined(nachos and Thai/Asian food lol). What made my experience even better was the very very nice bartender Michael!!! He was so awesome! I returned for happy hour the next day and it happened to be Trivia Night. My team, the instagrandmas, won 3rd place and received $ 10 off our tab! Turn up 4 knowledge!

This is a review in response to the DJ on Saturday 5÷30÷15. What a lame, agenda driven host! The singers were repetitive and dull, often times turning to the bar for more drinks in the middle of a song. He belligerently lectured the crowd about cheering, booing, and enthusiastically requesting a singer on the wait list over the microphone. He ensured time for his own(terrible) rap songs, however denied paying patrons the opportunity to sing. Overall, this was a time and energy suck– and buzz kill! Next time, we will take our time and patronage elsewhere.

Worst place by far in Portland to have happy hour! I’d been here once before…10 years ago… and wondered why I never returned. By a coworker asked if I’d have a drink and I said sure, why not. Thinking there was something I’d like. Nope! Customer service 1 Food selection 3 Drinks 2 Price 8 Taste –100 Environment 5 To begin with nobody tells you that you have to go to the bar to place your order… so you’re waiting to be greeted until you realize no ones coming to take your order bitch. Menu was price reasonably! Food selection not bad. So we order and wait, watching the game sipping on weak drinks! You know your drink is weak when you gulp it down thinking it was water! About 20 minutes later my food arrives… COLD…sitting on the counter for at least an hour cold. And my coworker wasn’t even given the right order. The waitress was nice but reminded me of Janis Joplin back in the 70s… fried brains & eggs! I wasnt going to complain about the cold food but then she came back and I Asked her if it was supposed to be cold because maybe I didn’t realize I was ordering cold chicken tacos and cold calamari She grinned and said no. Then I had to proceed to ask if she could make it over. She agreed and 10 minutes later I did receive the same cold food. Never again my stomach hurt all night long

Suki’s! What an interesting place! Divey, but full of personality. Located over in Southwest, Suki’s has an incredibly fun karaōke night with a great KJ. There’s more than enough space to bring 20 of your closest friends and wail your hearts out to some Journey or T. Swift. The drinks are decently priced and strong to boot. The food is… well bar food. Nothing spectacular, but the drinks! Try the huckleberry lemonade it is deceivingly good. For karaōke I would absolutely recommend Suki’s, as well as the drinks! Parking is tough as the parking lot is quite compact and small, so be prepared to park far away or take a cab. My favorite part of Suki’s? The full length mirror in the women’s bathroom ;)

Suki’s is one of those dive bars where you go for the cheap drinks and the karaōke. You order the greasy fries after your 4th rum and coke and you wait for your turn to grab that mike, stand in the spotlight and sing slightly off-key. Or you watch the people who can actually sing and secretly hate them because they have such a good voice. With a decent size parking lot and plenty of street parking half a block away, it’s not like other places on the west side where you have to worry about parking. It’s also just a few blocks from the Max train, so you have that option as well. KJ Chris Green is on top of the situation. He wields his power justly: first come first served for songs, unless you want to tip him in which case you may just move up the list a little quicker :-) He has a great song selection and will even let you pay to download a song he doesn’t have if you really want to sing it that badly. If you want a low key karaōke night, this is the place to go.

Dive dive dive! Food actually surprised me. Had some custom tator tots, that I made up myself. Order the regular tots but add cheese and the baked potato soup. Yikes! Good poors, interesting crowd but that’s Portland. Bring a group and get ridiculous.

I’m not usually a dive bar kinda’ girl but had a blast here! Went with a group of friends, played Citizens of Humanity at the large bench seating. Our server was stellar and the food and drinks were delicious! I had the turkey and bacon club on skewers and forgot to ask for the bread not to be toasted. It wasn’t an issue… it was perfectly ‘lightly grilled’ and didn’t destroy the roof of my mouth. $ 9.50 The bacon was thick cut too… YUM. A friend also had a good steak and another tried a veggie rice bowl. They had a nice karaōke system and lots of participation. Pool tables, outdoor seating and smoking area at the end of the building. Can’t wait to go back.

Don’t wear your best white jeans here. Yep. It’s a dive bar folks and that means it doesn’t pass the«white glove test.» No problem as I have other jeans I can wear. Or, as it so happens as it was New Year’s Eve, I was wearing a Little Black Dress. This was stop number 3(I think) on the Barfly New Year’s Eve party bus tour. Some folks took advantage of the karaōke that this bar is known for. Me and my crew, we took full advantage of some more boozy goodness and Suki’s served it up strong. I noticed that Suki’s does have a Happy Hour Monday to Friday from 4 – 8PM, and 10PM to 12AM Sunday to Thursday. I like that he Happy Hour runs late. Most menu items are Asian inspired. I dig that kind of food so I may check it out some time if I’m in the neighborhood and if I’m with folks that like to do karaōke, and drink. 2014 — Review # 3

I had an awesome time at Suki’s last night! We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to grab some drinks. When we sat down at the bar, the bartender was super nice and was chatting it up with us for a while. She always made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks are reasonably priced! We had 2 glasses of Cabernet, 3 beers and 1 Hennessy Martini along with HH sliders and tacos – all for $ 40! I’ll definitely have to come back the next time I’m visiting!
