Worst apartment rental experience I’ve had yet. I also took the $ 100 off deal in exchange for «a few chores each week,» which was a terrible mistake. As it turns out, every other tenant in the building had been talked into taking this deal at one time or another. After a few weeks, it turned into daily phone calls and dropping by unannounced to ask for favors — much, much more than she had initially described.
The landlord is not a rational person — the less interaction with her, the better. She entered my apartment without notice on more than one occasion, and every other tenant experienced the same. When I confronted her, I started receiving drunken voicemails from the landlord and her husband, blaming me for random plumbing issues and the like. Great neighborhood and nice tenants, but not worth it.
