This is a great local convenience store. The kind of business you want to go out of your way to go to. The people are nice, it’s clean and doesn’t smell unlike some places I won’t mention, and it has what you to go a store to get.

Lots of necessities along with some fun extras and a big walk-in beer/wine/cider cooler. Best are the two gentlemen who are always there(owners?). Great people. Support your neighborhood market.

I should have written a review about this great neighborhood corner store a long time ago. Very nice and personable owners who run this place. Here’s the latest experience I had with them yesterday that speaks volumes about customer service. I had bought a bottle of wine and cookies with my credit card, but realized right afterwards that I needed tonic water and a lime. I didn’t want to run the card again because it would have cost them money to run it twice. The owners then offered for me to take the tonic home and pay them the next time I came back. Who does that anymore? Amazing!

This is hands down the cleanest, most organized mini market I have ever seen. They feature an incredibly diverse selection of foods, an impressive selection of beer and wine, and an assortment of handy things you hope to find at a neighborhood convenience store. Errol told me they have owned it for 15 years, and it has been in business for 90. Wow! So thrilled to have discovered this gem within walking distance of my place.

Five stars for convenience, good hours, and selection; –1 for high prices, but you obviously pay for convenience. Great beer selection. You can even buy produce, often individually priced.(this onion is 45¢; the other one is 55¢). They almost always have the ingredient you forgot to buy. I ran a little store like this once, and it’s a lot of work. Owners do a great job.

What the hell?! Was I on crack when I rated this place before? 4 stars? Really? Huh. Let’s see, how often do you find a neighborhood store that has: 1. A walk in cooler full of a great selection of microbrews, 2. Vita Coco water in both individual-size and large jugs, 3. Kettle Chips 4. Vegan and vegetarian frozen options like boca, Morningstar, etc, 5. Emerald Valley Salsa, 6. A decent wine selection, 7. A wide array of foods from both large and small brands, and 8. Friendly service… ??? Seriously, it’s not often. And for a diamond in the rough, there’s no more deserved rating than a full 5 stars. Every time we roll in to Taylor Ct Grocery thinking«oh, they won’t have this,» or «no way will they have that,» we’re constantly surprised to be proven wrong again and again. They don’t have absolutely everything, but it’s miles ahead of even your average Safeway when it comes to local brews and similar. 4 stars… *shakes head slowly* Well at least I got it right this time.

Taylor Ct. Grocery is a top notch business. I’m not only an occasional shopper but I also used to deliver beer to them. Let me tell you, in my line of work there is no shortage of a-holes you have to deal with constantly! Never at Taylor Ct. Grocery! They were always very polite and appreciative. I would usually stick around and talk to the shop keeper for a while. One thing that stands out to me about this store is that they refuse to sell things that, in their opinion, would lower the quality of their store and the community. You’ll find no shred of pornographic material for sale in this store. I’ve been to nearly every convenience store in North, North East and South East Portland and Taylor Court Grocery is the only one that is conscientious of what they sell. The shop keeper once told me that he wont sell energy drinks to minors because he questions the safety of them and thinks that parents should be aware that their children are cosuming them! Maybe a little over the top but hey, the guys who run that shop really care about their community! Recently a member of our sales team passed away. He had been with the company for years and called on Taylor Court Grocery for quite some time. I was surprised to see Mel(one of the proprietors) there. He also went up front and said some very kind words about his former salesman! It turned out to be the most moving part of the service. Great people, go there buy, buy, buy!!!
