I had the most exceptional lobster roll today that I am writing my first Unilocal review to share the news. I stopped in at the Austin Street Beer company at 1 Industrial Way(off Riverside Street) on the outskirts of Portland. I stepped outside with my samples of craft beer and noticed the HighRoller food cart. I ordered a clear-meat lobster roll with lime mayonaise lightly drizzled on top. The lobster roll was very well stuffed with meat and came with a lime to squeeze over the top. I had to sit down to eat the sandwich as it was so fully stuffed with meat. This was an exceptionally well tasting lobster roll. The fresh picked lobster is served on a brioche roll baked baked by a South Portland Bakery. I believe I paid $ 16 for the roll(tax included). The two gentlemen who own the food cart also sell crab and lobster cakes. I had never heard of a lobster cake before. It sure looked good and patrons who purchased them were raving about the wonder flavor; the happy expressions on their faces told me that I had to try a lobster cake slider(also on a brioche roll) the next time I encounter this food cart. I noticed The Highroller Lobster Co food adjacent to Bissell Brothers Brewing a couple of Thursdays ago and was intrigued. Unfortunately, at the time I did not have the time to stop for a bite to eat. I’m so glad I had the time to dine today… and I will return to try the lobster cake. I am a native Mainer and know a good lobster roll when I taste one. I should add that lobster and locally made craft beer make a wonderful combination.
