wowowowo! As a wedding photographer I’ve seen every major caterer in the city of Portland and Lamb’s is now at the top of the list. Fresh ingredients, simple yet complex flavors and gorgeous presentation. It has a «farm to table» feel with rustic cheese boards and piles of fruit, fresh mounds of beautifully arrayed salads and entrees. Their team recently catered the wedding of a dear friend and I was delighted by how fluid and efficient their team was. 180+ people seated, fed and moving to dessert before I knew what was happening. Everything was on time, everything was flawless. It is a huge feat to serve food that is not over-cooked with a crowd that size, but somehow they pulled it off. The lamb was moist and pulled easily with a fork, but by far the favorite was the chicken/radicchio salad– the dressing was killer!

I have been meaning to write a review for Lamb’s Table for over a year now and am finally getting around to it. Lamb’s Table catered our 180 person wedding last February and did and truly incredible job. We have friends and family who still talk about how delicious the food was at our wedding! Instead of picking from just a few options, Jamie conducted an in-depth interview to get a full understanding of our food preferences — likes, dislikes, and LOVES. From there, she designed a three table buffet on circular tables including a salad bar that was so yummy. We were able to make everyone happy — vegetarians, carnivores, and even the gluten free vegans — with a beautiful spread. The charcuterie platters that guests nibbled on before the wedding ceremony, the coconut panna cotta and blackberry pie desserts, and the late night homemade chicken nuggets were just some of the highlights. The quality and value of the food was exceptional and far superior to the other caterers we considered. I wish I could have another wedding just so Lamb’s Table could cater it… though the husband probably wouldn’t go for that. Big thanks to Jamie and her crew for such an outstanding event.

Jamie and her staff helped to make my day memorable for not only my husband and I but for all our guests. My family and friends could not stop complimenting and asking who the caterer was! Although I only got a few bites here and there, I ran back for seconds of what I did get a chance to eat. I did not get the chance to meet Jamie until the week of the wedding bc I was planning my wedding from the Midwest. With that said Jamie interviewed my husband and I over the phone and created a menu we both fell in love with. My mother is an avid fisherwomen and rarely likes anyone else’s salmon, but she could not stop talking about Jamie’s salmon. I would hire her in an instant for another event! Thank you Jamie for contributing to the success of last Saturday! — Jen

Jamie came to me as a hair client during the stressful time period where I was attempting to plan a frugal backyard potluck wedding. She completely changed my mind about having a potluck when she began describing to me in detail what she had to offer, how she could make it work on my budget, and how amazing and lifesaving it would be to have someone else taking care of what would undoubtably be a highlight of the evening. When I saw her menu of carefully chosen, local, seasonal specialties, I was completely astounded. I had no idea how she was going to make these gourmet options materialize for such a reasonable rate, but her confidence that she had it under control convinced me that I was in good hands. Best decision I ever made(outside of marrying my husband.) Not only did Jamie deliver, but she was able to adapt to several last minute changes AND calm ME down about how it was all still going to be amazing. She was classy, calm, cool and collected. The day of the wedding she personally prepared the most magnificent foods for my guests. We had an intimate, private dinner with family, followed by charcuterie boards and appetizers, and a dessert hour. During everything, she and her staff kept the food fresh and the beverages cold, and directed food-related questions and traffic. My guests were full of compliments and awe. Afterward, she boxed everything to-go and sent it home with guests, since we were heading out of town for a week and didn’t want anything to go to waste. I had ZERO cleaning up to do after that feast because she also supplied the plates, glassware and silverware, and then tidied up before she left. I would highly recommend her for any food-related gathering. She is well worth the expense, and her amazing dishes will take your event from OK to «That was an amazing party.» If I had it all to do again, I would have postponed my own honeymoon, and kept the leftovers all to myself.

Love, love, love Jamie! I am using her for my wedding this March and have already been so pleased with working with her already. She knows about all there is to know about food and had us drooling when planning our menu. She’s amazingly creative and assembled a stunning menu. I also own Commonwealth Vintage Rentals and love getting to work with her for events and photo shoots. As a client and a vendor I would recommend Jamie for anyone looking for an awesome caterer.

Great food for a wedding! Jamie catered at our wedding this July and it couldn’t have been better for the price. She inquired extensively about where we had traveled to, what we enjoyed eating and tried to get a good idea of who we were so the food could represent us. I liked this personal approach to the meal and was impressed by how responsible Jamie was at checking out the venue, checking about our needs for special meal accommodations(we needed both vegan and gluten free) and ultimately attempting to cater to our desires. Some of the dishes at the wedding included bacon wrapped pork with pineapple, fruit and cheese platters, roast lamb kabobs, seared ahi over cold soba noodles and a green salad with hazelnuts and marion berries. She also prepared several cheese cakes which we heard were pretty good(we didn’t have time to taste much of this, sadly…). Many of our guests said that this was the best wedding food they had ever had. We have to agree!

Like many geniuses, Jamie can sometimes seem difficult. She can take a few days to return calls, and can sometimes come across as controlling. But, it IS probably because you’re wrong. You should just get out of the way. Lamb’s Table catered our perfect wedding last Sunday, and they were a huge part of the reason our day will live in our memory forever. Jamie cooked a meal for our guests that was so flat-out tasty as to boggle one’s mind. The beef short-rib ragu and parmesan polenta was devastating — luscious, meaty, succulent umami overload. That dish alone is the single best dish I have ever had at a catered event, ever. It’s the best thing I’ve eaten this year. We ate our leftovers in bed the next day and«holy ****» was said several times, let me tell you. Get it. Our guests came back for seconds and thirds and raved to us about the food. Hot smoke salmon was devoured, all the sides — gone. The word«triumph» was used by a close relative. Weddings are supposed to have BAD food, not food that makes you nudge your neighbor and say«Sweet loving god, have you tried this yet?» I think back to my wedding and start salivating! How may people can say that? Jamie brings a lot of detail to her work you won’t find with other vendors. Her serving dishes are timeless and classy. She has a fresh lemonade service that was really satisfying — a real alternative to alcohol for our guests. Several older and younger guests commented on how good it was. Her servers were very exacting with the presentation, folding our rented napkins just so at each and every place setting. The servers made sure our glasses were full, and were exceedingly positive and cheerful. Lamb’s Table leaves their gratuity up to you, which is refreshing, but it’s easy to see the plan in hindsight. Why require 18% when you could easily get 20% or more, since you deliver such quality work? And that’s really my core review. There is only one word that really sums up how we feel about Lamb’s Table after hiring them, and that is quality. Sometimes when you deal with items and services in that upper echelon of quality the experience can be jarring; what’s expected of you, and where your input begins and ends become questions, whereas anyone can call up Elephant’s Deli and get a van load of crap food real cheap and easy. Lamb’s table was right in the middle price wise for us, and delivered such unbelievably good food. .. I know people out there think I’m exaggerating, or I’m friends with these people. But LISTEN: This is the truth. I eat a LOT of restaurant food, and I have for a long time. Sweet Mary Mother of God — the food at my wedding was beyond excellent. QUALITY. Worth every penny and probably a lot more. I say to you unequivocally, from the bottom of my heart, on my love for my beautiful wife, — hire this woman. You will not be sorry.

I’ve had several occasions to taste Jamie’s cooking. She catered my wedding about 12 years ago and I swear that I can still taste the raspberry chocolate ganache cake. Jamie’s attention to detail is unparalleled and I found that I could relax and enjoy my wedding, leaving the specifics in her capable hands. Just last summer I attended the Balch Hotel’s dinner and beer pairing and I was – once again – thrilled by Jamie’s culinary genius. Jamie and The Lamb’s Table Catering is a perfect choice for you if you want the best local ingredients, creative seasonal menus, and personalized service that is so hard to find these days. I highly recommend Jamie and her staff to make your event extraordinary.

I recently hired Lamb’s Table Catering for a holiday cocktail party based on a recommendation from a friend. I’m so glad I did. Jamie did a great job of working with me to provide some great options. It was hard to choose. And the food was excellent. I’m still receiving compliments from guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Lamb’s Table again.
