I’ve worked in retail for five years now. Most of the stores have the same standards for customer service and always made sure that employees were greeting/communicating with the customer in a good manner. I love Pendleton products and this store is merchandised so beautifully. This review is specifically targeted towards the employees. Almost every single time I have been in this store for the past three years the employees have been SO horrible and each time it’s been the same exact problems. Number one: the greet Every time I walk in to that store I get the«why are you coming in, you’re not going to buy anything,» look. Then comes the actual greet followed by «can I help you?» Red flag right there. Instantly makes me feel like you don’t want me to be there. Number two: the counter troll I would like to think that Pendleton wants their employees to interact with their guests and step away from the cash wrap. Are you protecting gold behind that desk? Step away and create some conversation! Number three: the send off After milling around the store feeling awkward as hell I try to decide if I should slip out of the store because obviously the employee doesn’t give a rats ass. I decide to be the bigger person and say thank you then leave and never look back. I made the mistake of looking back and the employee didn’t even look up from whatever the hell they were doing. Once again I love Pendleton and I always will, but please train your employees to be nice to people and start conversations! It makes working retail so much better if you know you’re doing your job right!

When it comes to Pendleton Wool, there will never be another Ewe! There’s also a good chance that if you run into me at Terminal C at PDX, I’ll be here(next to the Made in Oregon Store) and in the baaaack! Pendelton is not cheap and the classic designs might not appeal to my inner hipster. However, it’s good quality stuff, pleasingly practical, and always a good value for the money.

Uhhh… first things first… who DARED to misspell this famous and high quality purveyor of Shaun the Sheep?!(trying to rectify this with Unilocal at once!) How has this place never been reviewed? such a mystery — as I look forward to a trip there, I reminisce about the days of old and the stores located inside, near concourse B/C. Ahh… the Pendleton wool… the warmth that embraces and shuts out the bite… the pick-me-up anything warm and woolly before your last chance poofs away like your breath in the frosty cold of winter. Many an item have I purchased on the way out or in… love the cashmere sweater purchased for a loved one, some woolen socks for yours truly, a few scarves… the blanket itself I use all the time was purchased in Washington. True, their styles tend to be a bit dated in appearance(but then again, so are their designs, generally speaking), if one is lucky to catch a break and get a clear-out price or some kind of discount, my advice: move on it. Really, nothing at Pendleton is really ‘cheap’, as its quality is so on the opposite end of that spectrum… can’t wait to get there and perooooooose! PSST! It’s right by the Made in OR store, folks =) PPS. Unilocal rocks. they fixed the spelling of the name immediately! wooop for Unilocal
