I found Rumpus Room on Unilocal because I wanted to play shuffleboard. This place has excellent shuffleboards that are the stars of the bar. On the day I went in there was a group of seniors playing a tournament and enjoying brewskies. They have a jukebox with a big selection of songs. The beers are well priced at 4.50 for microbrews. Shuffleboard games are $ 1.25 per game. They take your ID when you reserve a shuffleboard table. Do not forget to get your ID back when you leave! I did. When I returned on a different night the shuffleboards were not in use and there was a biker gang hanging out in there and it had a less comfortable vibe for my tastes.

Old school dive bar with awesome drinks for cheap. Surprisingly clean inside. The bartender Sean is the man. He likes it when woman ask him for a «LumberJack.» Story cracks me up. I would definitely come back here again. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Although, the owner or manager of this place needs to step up their game on the exterior of the building. The lights on the«Rumpus Room» are half non lit and if you are coming from i205 west to east you don’t even know the bar is there. Owner please step it up in the exterior of the building and business would be MUCHBETTER!

I have driven by here a bit. Some of the lights are out so it looks like the Ru Us Room. The inside is quite nice compared to the outside. Well kept and well lit, but not overly so. The bartender was a little bitchy at first but was pleasant when we were leaving. Drinks were fine, lots of regulars. It did smell, like burning pie crust almost. I can’t put my finger on that damn smell…

Went for the Karaōke but wait– people bring instruments and impromptu jams take place. Some very talented folks here! I was hoping for more stupid and spontaneousness as everyone just sounded too damn good. Older folks, a number of video lotto type machines and people playing them. Nice and friendly bartender. Inexpensive drinks. Nice taste of Portland talent.

This place looks to be improved since the smoking ban took place. Sure this not a great place to meet people and such but the drinks are pretty good. Rum and coke comes in a big glass, not a puny size. They have a shuffleboard table which is always fun play with friends. It is certainly an older crowd and regulars joint. One of my best friend’s brother comes in here once a week since he’s a regular and always get the best deals. Consider it a good place to start before heading to the clubs or other places.
