I find myself here often due to the severe inability to get my own shoe size right(at least Toms makes returns easy!), and my interactions have always been quick and efficient: Me: «Hi, I just need to drop this off. I believe it’s all set.» UPS Employee: «Yep, you’re good.» Me: «KTHXBAI!!!» Then again, my packages are always prepaid and good-to-go, so there’s really no need to dillydally here. I need a no-nonsense experience(because I’m usually parked illegally), and that’s exactly what they provide. Can’t say they’re the friendliest folks in the world; I’ve never been greeted with a smile or a «Hey, how are you?» But, then again, our entire conversation is usually 20 syllables or less. The only two issues I’ve ever had here is: 1) The parking, but this is a universal problem for the city of Portland. 2) Usually when I come in there’s no employee visible. I’ve waited anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes for someone to come out from the back room. Again, this doesn’t really affect me since I’m usually just dropping something off that’s already ready to go(which, I suppose, I could just leave on the counter and bail; but I do like to see my packages go into someone else’s hands and not just assume that it will), but I could imagine anyone in a hurry might find this frustrating.

I was shocked to read michaels review after my experience at this ups store! It was literally the best mailing experience I’ve had. And I usually despise mailing packages because it’s always so confusing, such a long process, messy, expensive, and the most rude customer service. But not this time. Erik literally hand held me through the whole process/did it for me. He was so nice and helpful, even when I called about finding parking.

After posting this review I received the following email from the owner«I also would like to caution you on being slanderis to me, my employees and my store, this I will not tolerate and I would do something about. You have the right to state the facts, but the name calling and bad mouthing are above what is acceptable.» In my mind, if you own a business and give poor service you should accept the consequences.
