Just a perfect combo. A whole meal in a bowl that always satisfies. Good stuff.

Simplicity at its finest. If you dont like the ingredients this wont be the right place for you But, if you like beans, rice, cilantro, olives and avocado — Yippee. Very reasonably priced, clean cart; friendly staff, quick and tasty.

This is my first time having The whole bowl and it was super good! All the ingredients look and taste super fresh. The«Tali» sauce is amazing and I just like that all the ingredients are good for you!

Fresh delicious food. Tangy and some nice hot sauce options that however look a little picked over and«over used». The server could be friendlier… It’s not hard to fake a smile and be polite. I do it all the time.

I can’t do anything but nod my head in agreement to all of the other great reviews here. I would add that we’re not vegetarian and thought this bowl wouldn’t be satisfying. We were very wrong. The fact that the folks who work there are do darn nice just makes it all the better.

This is a tiny little food cart randomly plopped on the sidewalk that sells essentially one item and it’s vegetarian. But oh boy, is it tasty. Oftentimes, I don’t think places really live up to hype, but I’ll be damned if the Whole Bowl wasn’t completely satisfying. I love bean burrito bowls — they are what I order from Chipotle and the Laughing Planet Café, so it seemed like I was going to like this place. But I have to admit, their«tali sauce,» which is some sort of homemade garlic-lemon sauce, really hits the right notes and ties the bowl together. It’s a unique flavor that takes this bowl beyond your typical burrito bowl. The only drawback for me is that the salsa they used tastes like it’s just from a jar, like Ortega or Tostito’s brand. I wish it were a homemade blend. Maybe next time I’ll order without salsa, but overall, it was still very delicious. Also, be warned that the line gets pretty long at lunchtime.

Its fresh Its some times fast and its consistent. The whole bowl has served as my ” Omg i forgot my lunch ” Many a times now. The line can get really crazy but its well worth it. The bowl comes in two sizes Small or regular. Both sizes are very filling. You can literally eat here every day guilt free because its clean simple and healthy ingredients . The sauce is what really ties this bowl together. Its creamy and sooooo flavorful. The cart provides fresh Ardvark sauce witch really makes this place a gem!

In college I lived off beans and rice because it was cheap and tasty. The Whole Bowl is the grown up version of my college fare with avocados, olives, cheese, cilantro and more. Fresh, tasty, and filling. Also, the gal who made my bowl was friendly and chatty. I’ll be back.

I guess I’m in the minority here… I thought food was decent but only because I was starving. It was mushy, needing some crunch like radishes or cabbage and some acid like lime juice or tomatoes. Overall, pretty one-note and mediocre for 6 bucks. I’m disappointed. It wouldn’t take much to take it to the next level. I can make better at home.

this is everything you love about whole bowl but in the mobile original version. come on! i mean simple awesome wholesome food from a lady who named the signature sauce after herself?! she’s a gem, if you ever have the privilege to meet her. when there’s an event and whole bowl is going to be there, count your lucky stars :) always friendly service and you can have any variation on the basic ingredients to fit your needs. when me and my roommates go it’s always a vegan bowl and two variations on the original. i like tons of olives… apparently that’s not normal: P

What is it about this simple bowl of rice, beans, salsa, a smattering of cheese and a slice or two of avocado… and then the secret lemon-garlic sauce– ADDICTIVE! I can not figure out just how it is done but all I can say is that my husband and I adore the food and find reasons to have to go back.

I have loved the food and service has been very friendly in the past but today’s cart dude was rude and ignored my allergy = a Pepto Bismol lunch for me. I had a craving for The Bowl, drove over specifically and was thrilled to see that the line was short — a Presidents’ Day win… Fast forward to the strange encounter at the cart… Tip: when a customer asks for ingredients because of an allergy, don’t at some point tell her«I don’t know, you know your body better than I do.» Thank you for catching that I should not have the salsa, but something else was astray. If you are in doubt, then please say so — don’t be smug. The proof is in the Pepto. Rating: Accounting for a couple good prior experiences, I am knocking down to a 2.

I love this food cart and it’s one of my staples for lunch here in the Pearl! It’s healthy, delicious and not to mention the staff(aka Tim) is super friendly. I’ve gone here for lunch so often that he even remembers my order!(No cilantro plz!) If you haven’t tried it before I can assure you that you’ll enjoy the savory healthy flavors this bowl provides. You may even get hooked!

Quality of any good street cart is the length of the line. One star for every person in front of you’ll for whom you’ll have to wait.

This cart is everything. Anyone that can make healthy food the most appetizing option out of many is a true genius. Think of a Chipotle burrito bowl, but with way fresher ingredients and amazing sauce. I would totally eat this at least once or twice a week if I lived here. The small one filled me up just fine and I was starving, but there is a larger size if needed. You can omit the cheese if you want a vegan option. I especially liked it because there wasn’t any soy filler. The beans themselves are great protein and the rice fills you up as well. Simple, straight up vegetarian food that is crave-worthy and super affordable!

The Whole Bowl is my favorite food cart. It’s nice to be able to know literally every ingredient of the food you’re eating – right before you. The cart owners keep things simple, but are masters of their product. The combination of the sauce, avocado and cilantro blows my mind. I’m addicted!

Lined up, the Whole bowl consists of brown rice sour cream olives, avocado, cilantro, tai sauce, cheddar cheese, salsa and red beans YUM, made me feel a bit healthy since I was heading right to VOODOO donughts after this! Very good, wholesome, no crap food, I would eat like this at home. If you’re into wholesome simple nutritious food, this is the cart for you.
