We made the rounds today to the best of the best in this neighborhood and today they came through. We knew we needed something but we weren’t quite sure what. That’s when he came to the rescue. As we explained our needs, little by little he was able to hone in on just what would work and just what we needed to leave with. By the Time all was said and done, we left with the perfect items we knew would do the trick. The guy who waited on us knew what he was doing and smart and friendly made the experience that much better. I can’t say enough good things about him or our experience here today. Need electronics? Choose this one, even if you have to drive a little farther. It’ll be worth it.

I am really glad this place is around and so friendly. And even though it says«wholesale» on the sign outside, it does sell retail. Great selection of professional tools and parts at good prices. I’ll be back.

Easily the best customer service you could ask for in a very underappreciated field. If you need tools and electronic components that are better than what you’d find at one of the remaining Radio Shacks, look no further. Not only are the people here extremely courteous and professional, they have a massive collective knowledge base. I first started visiting when I knew close to nothing about electronics. Not only did the guys make sure I got the ACTUAL parts I was looking for, they took time to talk to me and made sure i knew how to implement them without destroying them with a soldering iron. They have an excellent selection of parts and save me all the time when I need something short notice. In all honesty I would probably weep if they ever closed. I repair computers for a living and refer people here on a regular basis. Long live URS!

I called in advance to see if they had a specific component available which they did. I got there to purchase it and they offered me discounted pricing on my original stuff plus a few other nice accessories that I had been wanting but up until that point not purchased. Great Selection Clean showroom and layout(I was expecting much less organization to be honest) Attentive staff This will be my new stomping grounds for electronic componentry — so long Radio Shack!

I was glad my husband is a regular customer here because when our tv decided it was time to stop coming on, my husband told me he was going to change the capacitors in the tv so it would come on again. Good to know. I wish I knew what all that meant, but I trust him. We head down and he is excited to show me the stuff in here, as he gets stuff for work here regularly. I used to make LED skulls at halloween for my business, several years ago and I was instantly drawn to their cool LED display, like a moth. They had our capacitors for around 75 cents each. I was already liking them because it looked like a $ 1.50 fix for our not so old tv-that should have known it was too young to be going out like that. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The prices were reasonable as far as I could tell.

Great place to find a large selection of electronics and tools. They have a nice array of well made soldering irons, wire clippers, multi-meters, etc. I go there mainly for wire which they have plenty of. Same for heatshrink. I’ve also found, more often than not, particular switches I’ve been looking for. Nice staff, they have a parking lot, and are open early. Glad this place is around!

I’m a fresh-faced electronics engineering student at PCC and I’ve been to URS three times and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and so far they’ve had everything I’ve wanted in stock at a very reasonable price. My visit today I bought a pair of Greenlee 1917A wire strippers for $ 15.05. Amazon sells them for $ 15.75. Also on this last visit, I told the guy behind the counter that I needed some alligator clip sleeves for the non-removable probes on my 15 year-old Radioshack pocket digital mutlimeter. He dug around and found a set which he told me I could have at no charge as they were left there by some product rep. Very cool of him to do that. I will definitely be going to these guys for future electronics purchases.

United Radio Supply. That sounds important. This electronics distributor, now going by URS, is a walk-in supplier of tools, cable and a selection of electronics parts. Klein Tools, many made in the USA. They have items like a flameless heat gun, which could go well with their contactless infrared thermometers. They stock plenty of datacom cables and parts, routers and hubs, HDMI and other video cables. They also have heat shrink tubing. Don’t forget the awesome Elenco Snap Circuits for kids! URS also stocks some Spark Fun Arduino and Lilypad Arduino items! The universe of electronics parts is huge now, and it is difficult for local suppliers to stock. So their actual parts selection is small. They have blister packed 74xx and the like, and a few bulk resistors, capacitors and LED’s. But they are a good place to check if you can’t wait on remote suppliers for something you need now!
