Vespa Portland

Noticed my tire was mushy before leaving to go to work at 6am. Had a couple of staples in it. Aired it up and booked it to Vespa of Portland and parked it there, as it was before open hours… Walked the rest of the way to work. Dropped off the key at lunch/11:00am and they had my bike ready by 1:00. Picked it up later when I got off. Totally didn’t expect them to have it ready on such short notice but it was really nice to be able to get it in, and then ride it home same day.
They replaced my rear tire because it was about due, and I had them change the oil and filter. Very friendly service and priced about what you would expect most Vespa dealers to be. And one of the mechanics gave me a neat little tip for starting it on the first try, since he noticed me having a little trouble.

This is hands down the best Vespa shop in the area. Locally owned, the owners Paul & Maggie can be found in the shop every day it’s open. From the owners down this place is awesome. Very helpful staff, they don’t try to take advantage of you. They want every customer to be happy with their bike and the services they provide. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vespa or needing repairs on one they already own.

I think highly of my old scooter shop. They did high quality work but they also never really made me feel like anything more than another customer.
As a first time customer to Vespa I was a little apprehensive, maybe even intimidated. They sell high quality equipment and know their stuff. I have owned several scooters over the years of every shape and size but when it comes to service I’ve always felt helpless. I currently own a 2007 Buddy Italia
I made an appointment in advance over the phone, the service staff was super helpful and nice about all of my questions. This particular scooter was a newer purchase for me from a couple who hadn’t driven it much in the past decade but taken really great care of it, it had low miles but also long stretches of time without driving. A full service go over like any new purchase is the service we chose.
When I came in for my appointment there was a mishap on getting my bike onto the shop schedule but in having a day delay they were highly apologetic and understanding to the circumstances and made sure to compensate me with future service and make sure I knew my business and time were appreciated. I am fully understanding that these things happen so in the end it was nice to feel taken care of. I can’t express just how much they made me feel at home. They have already earned a long term customer in this scooter life regular.
Nothing was found problematic in the bike and I will scoot on comfortable in the fact that I now own a dependable quality bike.

What can i say, ive never been anyway were 6 months after purchase they call and see how your enjoying your purchase;no sales gimmick, just checking in. All staff extemely patient and helpful. They have my business!

What a wonderful experience I had at vespa of portland yesterday afternoon. My wife and I went in to look around at some mopeds and the «salesmen”(in quotes because he was totally not your typical salesmen) Danny was so nice, knowledgeable, and non pressuring at all. The owners were also very nice and accommodating. We sipped on some espresso as we chatted. We are now more confident in our decision to purchase a moped from them when the time is right.

I can’t say enough good things about these lovely people. Their entire team are salt of the earth and simply downright wonderful to do business with yet also as just darn great people.
I’ve been in love with the idea of a moto or scooter for years but had never found the right one. Long story short, I saw ‘my bike’ listed on their website over the Christmas Holiday and jettisoned myself to their showroom as soon as I was able. During the interim, several positive, friendly and incredibly helpful phone conversations were had and so when I arrived, I was a well informed, yet still undecided, woman walking into their space.
I only felt supported, non-​pressured and completely welcomed to make whatever decision I needed to. These are truly the best and utterly fun people. Danny is a wonder of insight, information and neutrality to help you arrive at your own decisions. Everyone there is. They took so much time with me with utmost patience, professionalism and playful attitudes that going in is a true delight for me. The ladies there also made it fun and were super cool and positive — I felt like I’d met up with ‘my people’ in the friendliest of atmospheres.
I adopted the sweetest of dreams — a 2009 Genuine Stella. I felt great about the transaction, Maggie gave me the support and guidance on all of my options. Pedro? He polished up my new babe with love and detailed intention — he’s a true soul who wanted me to make an informed decision and so also gave me the info I needed to know what being a Stella owner will potentially look like. He took such loving care of my ride so that she was PERFECT, with a new battery, polished and all, on ‘adoption day.’ Perdro’s the Schizz.
These folks have no hidden agenda — they’re all just wonderful and represent a place that I feel great about transacting with, about visiting and I simply trust for the genuine and authentic personalities and business ethic I’ve experienced there.
I even brought a friend with me when going to pick up Stella and she too, just loved them. Aside sweet and sultry bikes, the gear options are superb … and the helmets? Totally rad and make a helmet moment transform you into a super safe babe!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else but these cats. They’re THE best and so are their attitudes and practices. Adore them all as people, appreciate them as business folks. All hands up in praise for Vespa Portland.

I emailed Vespa Portland with some questions about purchasing a scooter (I am a new rider). Maggy responded promptly, answered all my questions, and made me feel confident that they could help me find my first scooter. I decided to head over there on the weekend.
I arrived with a vague idea about what I wanted after doing some research and considering my options. We were greeted by one of the mechanics — I believe it was Leigh — who was helping out because it was busy on the sales floor. He turned out to be a very skilled sales person as well. They had a large variety to choose from, but we narrowed it down to the Genuine Buddy 125. He showed me all the nifty features of the bike as well the gear (helmets, jackets, etc.) they had to offer. When Paul was free he joined us and they spent a good deal of time helping me find what I needed. They also special ordered the helmet I wanted because I wanted it in silver.
When I returned to pick up my helmet, I had a million questions and Heidi kindly answered the whole million of them, plus some. Heidi and Maggy also shared some of their experiences as a new riders, which made me feel a little less anxious about hitting the road on two wheels. Vespa Portland definitely gets 5 stars for customer service! I was made to feel welcome and I left with exactly what I wanted. It was indeed the best shopping experience I have had in a long time.

Vespa Portland is the best. I had the pleasure of buying my scooter with Maggie and she was awesome. Danny, as well, has been fantastic with calling us to let us know of winter maintenance and rocked it installing my helmet case. If you need a scooter or a service, call Danny here, he is the best.

I’m a big fan, and I’m not even from Portland! These guys are super knowledgable, super helpful and just plain fun. A big shout out goes to Danny Patrick, who helped me figure out how to handle an out-​of-​state eBay purchase of a Vespa that Vespa Portland had nothing to do with. And he helped me get to the bottom of my Daring Plum color issue. Plus he was able to work some scheduling magic — a can-​do guy. I ended up not buying the bike after all, but would love to give them my business. I’m still looking for a LX150 so it just may happen!

My favorite scooter store in Portland. I have been in several times and everyone is always very friendly and helpful. I own a sym hd 125 (purchased used) and they got me in for an appointment super quick. Danny was a great help quickly diagnosing the issue I was having. Will certainly be returning.

Yesterday I purchased a 2014 Piaggio Fly from Vespa Portland. What a super fun scooter to ride!!! Not only that I made 2 new friends at the same time! The owners Paul and Maggy are simply wonderful. I didn’t get a chance to meet some of the other employees but I could see them interacting with other customers at the time and were super friendly. So the scooter and the purchase; Paul took his time and helped fit me to the right jacket, explaining the different things to look for. Maggy was awesome in helping get me on the road after the purchase, explaining and showing the functionality of the scooter. (I got the all black one). The entire process was simply amazing and not rushed– I didn’t want it to be as I was enjoying my time just chatting with Paul and Maggy about all sorts of things. I will be back to this place more than once. especially after having my scooter for almost a day now (love this scooter– you have to try it!!!) I will be back to visit Paul and Maggy and get more stuff! (accessories, etc)
This is a wonderful small business, run by two great owners with a helpful and friendly staff. Before Tuesday of this week I had never once stepped foot into Vespa Portland and did not know any of the people there. Now that I have been there and have a scooter, I almost feel like i have a new second home lol. The selection of stuff for sale is awesome and the store is located in a perfect part of town.
I wish I could give 10 stars to Vespa Portland!

These guys have a great selection of scooters and I tried just about everything in the store in the past two months. They were always super-​helpful, understanding, cool, and no-​pressure.
When I did my first test-​drive, it was for a Genuine Buddy 50, just to make sure I liked driving a scooter. They very patiently showed me around the controls, helped me get comfortable, and then sent me off down the street. After I got my motorcycle endorsement, I drove pretty much everything in the store that was 150cc and over. Every other place I’ve been to in the Portland and Beaverton area has been uncool about test drives, but the staff at Vespa Portland was amazing.
I was thrilled when I finally found my perfect scooter at their shop… I took delivery of my Piaggio Fly 150 two weeks ago and have been absolutely loving it. Highly recommend Vespa Portland for service and product selection.

I bought my scooter here in 2007 but don’t bring it here for regular service. After years of happy riding, «Pearl» needed a replacement part that could only be ordered by a dealer. While it took the owners a couple days to return my call, it was smooth sailing from there. They contacted the shop where my scoot was to be sure I was requesting the right part (a smart move because I know squat about auto repair), and called as soon as it arrived. When I arrived to pick the part up, owner Paul humored me while I gushed about the scooters for sale (and fell head over heels in love with a beautiful robins-​egg blue Vespa). They charged me only the actual cost of the part plus shipping — no mark up for their hassle! Maybe I should start coming here for routine service?

Very nice people. They helped me out when my bucket o scooter shaped parts died 2 blocks from them 20 mins before they were to close. Their repair guy was super nice and helped me get my scooter back running and saved me a big fat tow bill. They made my day.

Dear Vespa: If you need help with your marketing (and it certainly appears that you do), call me — I have many suggestions that will make you realize what you’re missing out on during the holiday shopping season. I’ll throw you a couple of freebie hints…
While I know that your primary interest is in selling scooters, have you no interest in maintaining your customer base by selling swag, Vespa bling? You guys are supposed to be the Mercedes of scooters — so where’s the stuff? I’ve never seen such a sad little barren dealership in my life. And it’s Christmas… Have you really no interest in hyping up your clientele with cool Vespa gear?
And your staff… Is it possible that there could be someone who could care less for you to hire? Come on — can’t you do any better? We came to spend money on a cute Scooter Girl (she already has the scooter); so how come you’ve got nothing for us to buy, and your staff doesn’t want to show us your catalogue?
What a weird experience. If I were you, Mr. Vespa dealership owner, I’d be making lots of changes. You’re missing out on all those Vespa owners, and their friends and family members who want the Vespa experience.

My bike was in for 5 weeks for service and repairs, long time for parts. Not to happy with the service, not being kept informed of status or organization mainly. Mechanically no issue, but they need to work on the service side of the business. Service is what keeps people coming back and spend their money, I don’t like the service I spend my money some place else.
