I have recently had the opportunity to work with Vicki Lind after moving to Oregon from California. Career transition is hard. Very hard. I’ve recently transitioned out of the teaching field, and many people said to me, «When one door closes…» A quote from Vicki’s handbook states, «It’s hell in the hallway.» Too true.
I first came to Vicki on a recommendation from a friend who used her services to get help with revamping her resume. That’s what I thought I needed. Just a few tweaks and I’d have a new job in a new arena in weeks. Well, in this economy and with my experience and predilections, that’s just not what happened.
Nobody can wave a magic wand and get you the job of your dreams. The career transition process is challenging, personal and riddled with anxiety.
