I’ve been going to Vogue for 10 years due to its convenient location. Although my experiences there vary vastly over that time and from person to person, I think the quality of their work has always been excellent. As far as other reviews. I’ve been getting manicures on and off since I was a teenager during the air brush nail art days. You are in control of your experience at a nail salon; It is common to have to verbalized your personal needs and preferences. Sometime you find out what you don’t like after if it happens. Then next time you say, I don’t like my cuticles cut… Or this is the shape I prefer. At any rate, Tracy at Vogue is excellent! I now go to her exclusively for my manicures. She’s always willing to try one of my nail art ideas and is very affordable. My shellac manicures with half moons have regularly lasted over 3 weeks! What?! Thanks Tracy.

Never go here! Worst manicure I have ever had, hands down (no pun intended). Not only did it take 1.5 hours, it was super painful. I kept telling the woman it hurt but she didn’t care. I too was cut under my nail and it bled and hurt. I also did not like how my manicurist stopped to wax someone else during my service. There were three other employees just standing around while my lady did everything. Then during my manicure I saw someone use the ATM and had to ask if it was cash-​only. They definitely need a sign! NEVER GO HERE!

I went today, and the seats did not work, mine did not. They were ALL so rushed and it was not a good pedi experience, except for the wonderful woman, Robin, I sat next too. I waited 45 minutes in the chair waiting.

I see there are a lot of negative reviews so maybe the owner saw them and adjusted? All I know is that my friend and I both enjoyed our pedicures and manicures. Seemed very clean and friendly and I personally saw the workers washing down the tubs. The massage was nice and I could’ve used a little more work on my heels, but all in all it was relaxing and my nails look great. Will return.

Really don’t bother! Go to bouffant or someplace where they take pride in their work and aren’t bitchy. And — oh yeah — if you only take cash and are going to over charge me to take off my gel nail polish you should probably have a big sign that says «cash only and it’s $ 5 to take gel polish off» ugh.

For as many nail salons as there are in Portland, do yourself a favor and SKIP THIS ONE! I have been here twice– the first time the girl went too deep under my nail, it bled and got infected. Also she kept messing up, wiping off my polish and starting over, until my nails hurt. I went a second time only because it had been over a year since my last incident and I was on my way home– My second time around started off ok– I got in a chair right away and the lady I had was nice and took her time. But when I went to get money out of their atm to pay, it wouldn’t take my card, and they made me walk down Hawthorne at night in disposable flipflops which didn’t last 2 blocks, where they told me there was an atm and there was not, and when I got back one of the girls was laughing at me– I started crying out of frustration. I was treated like a joke, I will never go back there.

Brought my daughter here today to get her an acrylic fill. I witnessed the lady owner mistreat her employees. I was not impressed with the way she talked to everyone of them. My wife is Vietnamese and I understand the language. The workers work so hard for their customers and to have this lady hover above them is just uncalled for. The owner is lucky to have great employees. She is also lucky that none of them calm the BOLI on her. I hope she knows that it is not ok to treat her own people in such a bad way. This is not Vietnam!

I’ve been coming here for 7 years now and I have never had a bad experience. Granted, I usually only get my eyebrows waxed, but occasionally I get my nails done too.
They spend a good amount of time making sure my eyebrows are just right. I won’t go anywhere else. And the prices are reasonable too!

I have used this salon for nail services for a couple of years and I haven’t had any issues. The waxing services, however, should come with a warning. I asked for a simple eyebrow wax, and what I ended up with was the removal of the skin from under both eyebrows. It’s been very painful all week, with multiple scabbed over sores underneath both eyebrows. Half of one eyebrow is completely missing. The waxing area of the salon didn’t look very clean either. Go elsewhere for waxing. I’m being generous with two stars due to reasonably good nail services; waxing gets negative stars.

the picture says it all. I came into this vogue nails because I was in the area and I love the vogue nails on broadway so I figured it was a safe bet. I had just been engaged and wanted a mani before I took pics of my ring on my hand to send out. Well, my fingers were brutalized. Three fingers ON MY RING HAND were bleeding like crazy. Then the alcohol poured on, neosporin, and then a sloppy manicure. Now I have these super cute scabs to remind me to stay away from this place.

I don’t think so.
This place was convenient for me the few times I’ve been here, but I always feel so rushed here. It’s not a relaxing experience at all.
The other frustrating thing is having your finger nails done at the same time as your toe nails.
It was so uncomfortable and it wasn’t busy at all. Nor was it going to be.
And I can’t believe the last trip was $ 66. For what?
Could’ve had a massage or facial, plus tip.
Go elsewhere.

I love this place. I’ve been coming for eight years now. They are great ladies who do a professional job. I have complicated nails from years of biting, and they are able to work magic to make them look beautiful. Pros: Nice people, great leg and hand massages, quick, professional. Cons: cash or check only, appointments are meaningless, it’s really first come first served.

I don’t really understand why this place has so many negative reviews. I came here today and the place was steadily busy. Even though the staff was tending more than one customer at once the ladies were super thorough and made sure every nail got a second or third glance over.
I came in asking for a half-​moon manicure/​pedicure and had set an appointment in advance.
My nails looks so great and even with nail art the paint doesn’t seem at all thick. My feet are soft and ready for fall weather.
I will be coming back again!

Mediocre. Halfway through, the technician asks if I have my own nail file (1. No… 2. Why would I bring my own tools to a nail salon!?) When I tell her no, she seems almost angry at me for it. Wha?
Moving on… she did an okay job overall. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. Although she didn’t top coat the glittery nails last, so I got glitter on all the nails I didn’t want it on. And as soon as another customer walked in, she slabbed the rest of the top coat on in a hurry and sent me to dry (under the tiniest most incompetent fan). Because of this, some of the polish was way too thick and gucky.

This was the worst manicure experience of my life.
Dingy salon. The nail tech was half way into my manicure before she informed me it is an additional dollar for a nail file. I’m sorry — what? Apparently, it’s the law. Something I’ve never encountered in this state or any other.
She gets polish all over my hands, makes my cuticles bleed, and shoos me out of the salon before the polish is dry (they used a fan to dry the very thickly applied polish). Needless to say, the paint job was ruined within an hour.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE. Go elsewhere. Seriously.

Great nail place! The women are nice & do a great job. Some girlfriends of mine stopped in after a less than thrilling experience at Dosha salon. They were busy but were sure to help everyone that walked in. Good price for the service; exactly what I expected. I almost thought about having them redo my overpriced pedi from the other place!
I would definitely go back if I was in the neighborhood.

First time there recently. The place was clean (which was good because the place I stopped going to was filthy). The chairs were much nicer than most of the spas I’ve been to.
The foot soak was just okay – the water got a bit cold by the end. The massage was just okay as well. I enjoyed the warming lotion but they didn’t spend as much time on the massage and she wasn’t hard enough with her strokes.
But the pedicure was beautiful. I would go back.

Vogue Nails did a great job on my nails. I have short nails because my nails are so brittle. They suggest that I get Shellac (which is a gel polish that gives your nails more strength) on my nails and I love it.
Vogue Nails nice and clean inside and doesn’t smell like that horrible artificial acrylic smell. Unlike some other shops I’ve been in.

Bad experience, again. They add an extra charge for each thing, like extra $ 5 for the massage, another $ 5 for removing the dead skin on foot…$ 1 for the supplies… all should be included in price! I felt like I was really being taken advantage of considering I was already in the chair and wanted a pedi. For the money I paid it was the worst one I ever had. The $ 5 massage was a joke. I went home to finish removing dead skin. The part that really made me upset is that the girl beside me DID NOT get charged extra for the massage, which looked much better than the lousy one I got, but did get offered a callous removing solution and a filed the skin off for the extra 5 bucks. They clearly are not on the same page. I got screwed.
ps. don’t get waxed there. they ripped off enough layers of skin from my upper lip to make it bloody. before my wedding. i still have a scar. :(
