The server was great! I Had the Crab Cake(not good — too much breading and vegi filling) and the Chicken Sandwich(Good — grilled, Avocado, super crispy bacon)

Dinner here was terrible(GM will understand this: gewoonweg vies, niet te vreten). I ordered an appetizer, salad, and their special rib eye, medium rare, with green veggies no potatoes. First comes the salad with dressing on the side. Here they put blue cheese crumbs on the bottom and dressing on top so when you turn over the little cup everything splashes out at once. After the salad, the appetizer is delivered.(Notice reverse order here) The steak comes next. How they cook it is a mystery. The fat appeared not to be cooked, and the meat was almost an ashen-gray color with no red fluid usually associated with meat anywhere on the plate. The steak was cooked medium-well and the meat was tough; of course potatoes came and no green vegetables. «We are out of vegetables».

Staying at another hotel close to the Embassy Suites, but didn’t find many other choices within walking distance. Food choices are your typical bar/hotel restaurant fare. Had the calamari and shrimp linguine, which were pretty good. Server was a little slow because he was covering the bar and a pretty large seating area. Didn’t see anyone else available to help him out. Overall pretty good for a hotel restaurant.

Embassy Suites are great… they have a managers reception everyday in the lounge between 5:30&7:30 with FREE cocktails and snacks! Yes people, I said free! We always tip the bartender well and have a great time just relaxing before dinner. The snacks are pretty basic, nacho chips, salsa, pretzel kind of fair, but hey… complimentary is always welcomed! We have eaten dinner most nights at the restaurant and the service and food has been excellent. They have slimmed down the menu but the choices are still good and we have enjoyed not only our meals and service but the lobby location beside the water streams filled with Koi fish are relaxing as well as entertaining.

Like others, we were looking for a place near the airport. Traffic was terrible, so we listened to Unilocal.Dinners were great. Service, was too. No waiting for a table(5:45 pm). Meatloaf with yummy sauce, rustic skirt steak with more yummy sauce, salmon salad, and crab fritters. All were exceptional. Will stop again.

We were looking for a place by the airport for dinner for 7 adults and 2 children on a Saturday night. We decided to give Water’s in the Embassy Suites a try since nothing much else around that wasn’t fast food or pub type food. We were so glad we did. The restaurant is very nice with seating overlooking a waterfall. They could get all of us in with no wait and everyone was very happy with their food. The salmon filet in the arugula, hazelnut, cranberry and goat cheese salad was cooked perfectly. My husband loved the pesto linguine with a grilled breast of chicken. The children and some adults ordered macaroni and cheese made with Tillamook white cheddar cheese and loved it. We have never been able to find a good restaurant when we stay in this area and are happy that we now know of one. Also, the service was very good.

When we have visitors arriving or leaving from PDX we try to work in a stop at Waters Grille for a meal. The mac and cheese, and the steak quesadilla are excellent. Service is prompt and attentive. Prices are a little steep, but the quality of the food is outstanding.
