I found Dixie through Unilocal.I started acupuncture in March 2015 to treat severe endometriosis and ovarian cyst pain. I started with an acupuncturist in Washington DC and here in Portland I see Dixie. I consider Dixie a friend in addition to being my doctor. I see her twice weekly. She is very detail oriented in her treatment. I like the way she puts in the needles — she taps them in quickly and it is mostly painless. She has a nice heated table and heat lamp, which makes the relaxation time very pleasant. She uses bells and aromatherapy to help relax you before she leaves the room. So far my endometriosis has stayed at bay and I sincerely thank Dixie for her treatment. I have previously had surgery and medication to control my pain — but surgery was useless and the BC pills had lots of yucky side effects.

I purchased an IPL Photofacial special on Groupon with April Troung. She is incredibly knowledgeable and will walk you through the process step by step. I’ve had a number of photofacials in the past and can say this was one of the better ones. 5 days after my initial treatment, I really started to see the difference — brown spots were fading and my skin looked more even. I am looking forward to coming back for another!

I’ve seen Trent Wilson and Dr. Woodyard at Wellness at the Center. This is a quiet, relaxing office with a trio of services. Trent gives amazing massages and his massage bed is fantastic!!!
Dr. Woodyard in a ND and I really liked visiting with her. She helped me understand what foods work well with my body and vise– versa.
The location is also perfect! I’m not a fan of having to drive downtown too get alternative care, so this place is great all around.

I highly recommend Trent Wilson, LMT at Wellness at the Center. He is both highly professional and intuitive when it comes to body work. It was our first appointment, and I felt like I had been coming to him for years. In just a 30 minute session, he was able to release so much built up tension. The amount of relief I experienced was equivalent to at least an hour or two sessions with other practitioners I’ve gone to. He asked my preferences about how I like to be massaged, and checked in with me throughout the process. He listened to what I asked for and then offered even more as he got deeper into the work.

Wellness at the Center and Dixie is such a treat to the whole body. I highly recommend Dixie and appreciate her great work. When i leave a treatment i feel like a better person, relaxed, focused, and clearer. I look forward to a massage from the new therapist. While i know each person has to find someone that works well with them, I feel Dixie is terrific and recommend her to everyone nearby.

I cannot say enough great things about Dixie Young. She listens carefully to you and your issues and concerns, and provides a treatment plan tailor to your health and wellness needs. I have been going to her since January 2014 to address a variety of health issues that my PCP told me to live with. She has addressed every health issue and helped me move from pain to pain free. She is a wonderful healer and even better person. Go to her now!

I highly recommend Dixie Young! I have been going to her for acupuncture for about a year now and I feel great. I also sent my boyfriend here for his back pain and he is doing really well, too. I really appreciate that she accepts insurance, is flexible with scheduling, and genuinely cares for patients. She does not rush people out the door, and asks a lot of questions to really understand what a patient needs/​wants to focus on. I like that she listens and does not rush through this process. Knowing I am a student, she has offered really practical advice for my limited budget, and even loaned me a book from her shelf so I could get my hands on (free) useful, information. Thanks Dixie, for helping me stay heathy! Again, I highly recommend her and can’t say enough positive things about her practice.
