Gordon was wonderful! When you first meet the tour, search for Flatbread on your phone or park in the ferry boat tours parking ramp. A few people on our tour couldn’t find it, but the other 20 people had no problem so it’s really not that difficult! Definitely worth your time while visiting Portland!

Took the tour on Saturday night July 11. I totally recommend this tour to everyone. Gordon’s humor, energy and knowledge make this tour really worth it! Be prepared to laugh and have fun!

Meh, ok if you are a tourist and like the over dramatic. This is for those who like «legends», stories, and a guide who enjoys the audience, attention. Not for those who are really into historic details. It is mostly a walking tour outdoors with storytelling. You don’t tour buildings or historic spaces. Entertainment, yes. Super professional or down to earth, no.

My niece recently came to visit and even before she got here she told us she wanted to take this tour. So we got tickets and I have to say it was a great time. Not only was our tour guide Gordon funny and thoughtful, he was also well versed in the spookier side of Portland, which even if you are skeptic, is still a lot of fun. He also brings a knowledge of Portland as she grew and a history of the docks and the town that is both fun and informative.
Definitely worth the time to check out if you are visiting or even if you are a resident.

What a fun evening! A tad expensive but very enjoyable. Go for the experience and enjoy Gordon’s stories and humor, but don’t expect anything lavish or truly scary.
I’d recommend for a fun experience!

Gordon was a great tour guide and it was an hour of good fun. They don’t bring you inside any of the places but you walk around and he tells you the different ghost stories from the city.

What fun! Walking tours of large sections of Portland’s Old Port, showing even many locals several nooks and crannies you never knew about while the tour guide gives creepy historical accounts of the hauntings and/​or legends attached to that particular place.
Who knew a very infamous shipwreck off the southeastern U.S. coast originated from Old Port and is attached to a historic haunting on a dark pier right in downtown? Gordon, co-​owner and our tour guide was both a hoot and filled with information.
They give tours throughout the months of October and November and perhaps by special appointment. A little history, a lot of spookiness. what a great way to spend a Saturday night!

Had a great time with Gordon, very knowledgeable about the local area and hauntings. The walk and tour was just the right length and was humorous and entertaining. Great time would definitely do it again next time I’m in Portland!

The guide was great he was very knowledgeable about the area and he was a great story teller you could tell he’s being doing this for a long time I just wish there was more to the story’s perhaps he had so many story’s to tell in a short period of time that he had to shorten them if the tour was 2 hours instead of the industry standard 1 ½ hours. If there was a little more intricacy/​depth to the story’s it would have made for allot better tour. If they may make it a bit longer but there would probably be more returning customers.

The tour guide was very friendly however I have been to a few haunted walking tours around the country and this was my least favorite. I wish the tour guide would have been dressed up in a cool colonial get up because it makes the whole experience a little more fun.
Otherwise it is cool to walk around down town and hear of the history and myths.

Guide Gordon weaves eerie and sometimes macabre tales and overlays them with real events from the city’s origins in the 1600’s up to the early 1900s. After the tour is over, you’ll find yourself pondering the memorable characters who walked the cobblestone streets centuries ago.

Gordon is a great tour guide and provides a great tale or two about the darker side of Portland’s history. Kid friendly as well.

Quite a historical, beautiful setting led by a highly knowledgable historian… the charm of ghost stories enlivens a walk through Portland’s waterfront in the evening. What’s to like? A lot really. The cobblestone paths, a dark alley, historical architecture, and a tongue in cheek description of parts of the history of Portland. It is not too short or too long but just about right in length and worth the value.
