This place is amazing!
I needed lamb’s hearts and fries for a class project (yes, they were to eat) and my local butcher forgot to put in the order I had placed two weeks before. Two days before the project was due I was frantically calling every butcher in the area with continuous failure. I was beginning to lose hope and terrified of failing my final.
The day before the project was due I called Willamette Valley Meat, planning to strike out once again, but they had them! I had to buy a 10lbs box of the hearts, but it was barely (maybe half again) above the price of a 5lb special order at my local butcher shop. Not only was the meat local and organic, but the service was fantastic, the meat was packaged well, the quality was exquisite (probably the best I’ve had in the states), and my freezer is very happy with the 7lb addition! The only thing that could have possibly made it better was if it hadn’t been frozen, since it takes about 5 hours to thaw a giant bag of meat without practically cooking the stuff, but I can’t really complain.
In addition, everything in the warehouse is graded for human consumption, including the «pet food cuts».
Next time I need a «weird» cut, or I’m stocking up for a barbeque, or I just need a good chunk of meat, this place is going to be the first on my list.

I will give them 2 stars based on price but that’s about where anything good ends. I have a hard time as a wholesaler picking up product most of the time I arrived and there’s anywhere from 3 to 10 employees out by the will call loading area smoking. They are usually not very friendly if you try to speak to them even to say hello they act affronted like you’re ruining their break and if its lunch time you can’t get to the will call door theres usually a taco truck parcked length wise blocking at least 4 parking spots. Honestly about % 75 of the time my orders aren’t even ready I usually wait anywhere from 30 – 45 min and at least twice they lost prders I had called in.

Fantastic service for both pet and human foods. Clean, efficient, and convenient. I will come back again and again!

I make food for our dogs and buy most of the meat from here. There have been a few bumps along the road, but overall, I’m happy with the quality and service.
Ask them for their «Pet Products List» as that is what you order from. They charge like 3% to use credit /​debit, so bring your checkbook!

Meat supplier for humans with a fabulous and affordable selection for pets too. I looked all over Portland for raw chicken necks and backs with no success until I called these guys. Not only did they have what I needed, they were very friendly and accommodating.
Chicken necks are $ 0.60/ lb and chicken backs are $ 0.55/ lb. Both come frozen in 40 pound boxes.
Beef liver for dogs is only $ 0.98/ lb
Lastly, they have lots of organ meat, offal, and other delectable doggie food ingredients.
Call ahead of time or expect a little wait (10 – 20 min) while they prep your order.
