Willamette Valley Moving

These guys are outstanding. Seriously good dudes who are hard workers. I like that they did a in-​house estimate, that they worked with my scheduling well and that they all had great attitude throughout the hard move. I’ve moved a LOT and these guys might be the best I’ve worked with so far, I highly recommend them.

Awesome service. On Saturday Lewis and Sulldo (spelling incorrect — sorry!!!) showed up and professionally moved my out of my apartment and into a house. I couldn’t believe their efficiency and speed — it was superhuman. I had never used professional movers before but now I will use them whenever I move, and WVM in particular — I can’t recommend them enough. Exceeding professional and affordable!

I absolutely LOVE this company. I have hired them twice and both times I received excellent service. They are so quick, you will be amazed. Last time I hired them, they had me moved in an hour! I don’t have a lot of stuff, it’s true, but they moved a big bed, a heavy desk, some tables, a chair, and maybe twenty boxes in a friggin’ hour. That’s incredible. They’re decently priced, too (one of the cheapest moving companies in Portland). Hire them!

I’ve used several movers in town, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had, not just in town here, but with any mover. I was really stressed out when they showed up that morning, as I hadn’t gotten as far with packing as I had hoped. They were so nice and said they’d finish up for me no problem. They went ahead and whisked all the stuff in the open into wardrobe boxes faster than what I thought was possible. Then they loaded everything up both extremely quickly AND carefully. I don’t know how they did it. The two guys on my team were obviously very experienced. I got a peek in the back of the truck and everything was packed really nicely and in an organized way, even more carefully than I’d pack my own stuff! Before they left they even helped me finish taking out the garbage! They were also really good at sitting down and going through paperwork so I knew what I was signing and why. Once we arrived, they super quickly unloaded and put stuff where I asked it to be placed. If I changed my mind, they were happy to scoot things around. Absolutely nothing got damaged, they were so careful and knew exactly how to pack and unpack everything.
Did I mention that they were also by far the cheapest? This was for a move from Portland to Seattle. .. everyone else wanted to charge mileage, or other random fees, on top of drive and loading time. .. WV just wanted to get paid per hour, that’s it. Simple and it really helped me save a lot.
Overall, it was like having family move my stuff. .. family that were expert movers! If you’re moving in the Portland area, check with these folks first.

Santos, Jose and Ribatti were efficient and thoughtful with our household goods. The 3 of them were hardworking and focused throughout our 5 hour move across town. I highly recommend this company. This is the second time Willamette Valley Moving has moved us and if we move again, we will use them.
There really is no need to shop around, Willamette has competitive prices, trustworthy staff and a great reputation.

Jose and Santos were top notch. Moved my apartment on schedule and seamlessly. Will definitely be calling these guys again when the time comes.

I’m filing this review on behalf of my mother (not a Unilocaler herself), who used Willamette to move from the Long Beach Peninsula in SW Washington to southern Oregon. The moving crew were Dave, Carson, and Nathan.
The care and courtesy from these burly, tattooed men was astounding. They worked very quickly, and were pleasant, helpful, and so likeable that my mom ended up taking photos of them to remember them. They gave a reasonable estimate… and even came in below the estimate!
Earl was the office contact –easy to work with, responsive, took care of the one claim promptly and with zero hassle.
We can’t recommend them highly enough and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Oh dang these guys are soooo good! They came highly recommended by a close friend, and we’re so fast and amazing. And funny too! How the heck can you be funny and so kind while you’re sweaty and running up and down three flights of stairs with all my heavy boxes? They had a whole comedy act going. I’d trust them with all my stuff, all I had to do was sit back and watch them move everything out in a matter of a surprisingly short amount of time. Will use them again!

Great experience! Santos and Jose were to arrive at 9am and at 8:45 they called to say they were stuck in traffic and would be a few minutes late. As promised, they arrived just a few minutes past 9. They packed up everything as instructed and were careful with the fragile items. They were efficient and quick, and once unloaded into my new place, took the time to set up the bed and other furniture and boxes where I wanted them, going above and beyond the call of duty. I had the equivalent of a small 1 to 2 bdrm place to move, and we even had to make a couple of extra stops to the storage area and the furniture store to pick up a recliner waiting for me. I couldn’t have asked for better service! Would I recommend them? You betcha!
Oh, and additionally, when I first called to make arrangements, they were the only moving company that called me back promptly along with being the most reasonable priced, where some other competitors didn’t even bother to return my call. They were also available for the dates I needed, even after having to change it once or twice.

Great service.
Guys showed up on time, were quick and efficient. Very polite and professional, in most positive way. Just an awesome experience overall. Very hardworking guys.

We used Willamette for one part of our move — to unload our belongings from a long-​distance move.
We had two men. One was outstanding and did a great job. However, his partner was careless and damaged three areas in our new home. It seemed like he didn’t have the strength for the heavier items. Nor did he care.
I’ve moved many times and never had any damage. I wouldn’t use them again.
I will add that we did receive a discount on the final bill for the damage, so they at least tried to make it right.

Best move ever! Ryan and Derek were awesome on my move today. They made my head spin with how fast they were moving. Very careful with all of my belongings, and kind people.

Something happened when I moved to Portland, I started using Unilocal a lot more than just for food. When I needed to move, didn’t have a ton of friends having just moved here and not really wanting to empty a whole house by myself. I looked on Unilocal.
First thing I see is a moving company with nearly 200 reviews and a five star rating ?!? How is this even possible?!
Moving is one of those «most stressful» life moments and people, in general, are insane. You think someone gets cross when they get a bad cup of coffee or a steak cooked wrong — try busting up their precious mementos or their heirlooms antique one of a kind anything. They get downright apoplectic!
I only had a few days to get everything done in the middle of a hectic international travel schedule. To make a long story short, you see I’m leaving them another Five Star rating and everything went smooth. They quoted a fair price up front. They did suggest a third person to help & ensure the truck would have eyes on it the whole time (was a downtown move out). Turns out it was needed as it took almost 7hrs for everything.
They wrapped everything, provided wardrobe boxes for all closets and when I ran out of boxes packing they sent for some to be delivered! I cannot say how much stress they saved me and I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone who asks about movers or who I know is moving in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. It was truly a stress-​free moving experience with Willamette Valley Moving. I was able to get my appointment setup well in advance (I ran into some problems when calling around to other moving companies that would only schedule 3 weeks out). Willamette Valley Moving also was very flexible as far as my scheduling needs. Moving between two high rise buildings can be challenging with elevator reservation times, but they worked with me.
The team they sent out was great. Tyler and Drew were punctual, professional and very good at what they do. They were able to completely move my apartment in around 2 hours and put everything into my new apartment in roughly 2 hours. They finished much earlier than I was planning. They didn’t take long breaks. They worked straight through and got done as quickly as they could.
I will definitely be using this company again in the future. They’ve earned my business for life.

This review is extremely long overdue (I moved in Aug 2014), but I wanted to put it out there. I have moved almost every year for the past 20 years, so I know moving companies. Sometimes, you may get a bad crew, but how they handle your belongings and how respectful they are to your home and you as a human being are important to me. Scheduling them was super easy. They called me the night before to confirm arrival time. Two men showed up. I’m used to crews using moving blankets and maybe saran wrap or tape, but when they put down carpet runners, I was excited. When they used the carpet runners, I was impressed. The wrapped all my fragile items, including my wooden bedframe, in the blankets and then saran wrapped it. Heck, they did the same for some photos that I was just going to throw in my car. They were fast and efficient. I will definitely call them again when I move.

It’s been a week since my Willamette Valley Movers (I think Drew and Carson?) rescued me from what felt like an impossible venture in hell. As usual, I had totally underprepared in terms of time and materials to pack, and was still scrambling when they showed up right on time last Tuesday morning. Not only did they *not* scowl or run screaming when they walked into my mess, they were pleasant, reassuring — cheerful even! — and offered me wardrobe boxes, without which I couldn’t have moved half of my stuff. They had super-​duty shrink wrap that they used on my odd, uncovered wads of things; wrapped fragile items in big blankets and more of that fabulous shrink wrap; dealt with absurd parking conditions, an extremely unfriendly 117-​year-​old elevator and four flights of stairs once we arrived at my condo building; and did so – on a very hot day — quickly, carefully and with jolly, conversational demeanors.
I had pretty high expectations from some of the great reviews I’d read, but Drew and Carson exceeded them to an almost ridiculous degree. I was so grateful for how fantastic they were I wanted to cry when it was finally actually over! And on top of all that, it cost less than I paid for movers six years ago. Ten times that would have been a fair price for how hard they worked and how not-​awful they made the whole experience. I hope to N E V E R move again, but if I do, I won’t consider anyone else for the job. These guys are the ultimate pros.

I was referred to Willamette Valley Moving by my parents, who had hired them last summer when they moved. They couldn’t speak highly enough of how well their move went, so we decided to contact them for a quote, hoping we could afford it on our tight budget. We were happy to find out that their fees were very reasonable, and they were able to get us in on our preferred date.
On moving day, our three movers arrived on time, and worked their tails off for us! They were professional, quick, friendly and took great care with our belongings. When the job was done, we were charged a bit more than we had estimated based on the original quote, though the charges all seemed fair. Our only complaint was that we were not made aware of the full scope of charges prior to the move, which prompted us to contact WVM regarding the unexpected overage. Not only did they immediately respond to us, accepting responsibility for not initially communicating as effectively as they could have, but they gave us a full refund of the overage fees. Customer service is alive and well with this company! We will definitely do business with Willamette Valley Moving again, and will certainly refer them when given the opportunity!

My young adult daughter ended up in a threatening living situation and had to get out right away. I literally messaged WVM at 1:00am this morning, and they will be here between noon and one this afternoon!!!
They haven’t even done the job yet, but I am SOOOO grateful!!! And their turn around time could NOT be any better!

This is the 4^th time I’ve used Willamette Valley Movers and once again they made the process painless.
Drew and Gabino showed up on time and got right to work. They emptied my 10×15 storage unit in less than an hour. Once at my new place they had had their work cut out for them. They had to load everything into the elevator and then make the long trek to my apartment. Plus I had a bunch of stuff destined for the storage unit in the basement. They sorted everything out by room, and even put my king size bed together. Not only were they fast and efficient but they had great attitudes and were a pleasure to work with.
Based on 4 fantastic moves with WMV’s I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality movers at a very affordable price.

I used Willamette Valley movers again last week 2 years after my first 5 star experience.
They were even better!
The phone contacts are very helpful; it was ok to cancel one event without charge and I was provided a good suggestion for a storage facility.
The moving crew arrived exactly on time & properly covered all furniture with blankets and plastic wrap. We had a big 3 story move with narrow winding stairs. They had to bread down larger pieces and wrapped every bit, put hardware in plastic bags securely stowed inside the wrapping.
Watching Ulises put everything into storage was amazing — he saved us money by doing this so well I didn’t need an extra space.
