This place is great! No hard sell on tanning packages or lotions. And they actually have single use tanning lotion available! Friendly staff. Literally a hole in a wall because if you weren’t looking for it, you’d miss it! Behind a biker bar, and same building with shipping company and tobacco company.
And I’m always supportive of local business! Definitely worth checking out and supporting!

Woodstock Tan is great! My fiancé and I each bought a month in order to get ready for our wedding this spring in Mississippi. I read up on places and the reviews here on Unilocal all said this was a great place. No up sales or extras we walked in and bought the bronze package and the beds are great! Already have some color after a few visits and so far everyone that works there is friendly, nice and not creepy.

I love Woodstock tan!!! No crazy contracts, first and last or any other weird fees. I paid $ 22 a month for unlimited tanning on the lower wattage beds which is a great deal. I think my first month was prorated (which is awesome) and I paid $ 8 or something.
The owner and other employees are always very nice and always, always, always say hello and goodbye! They also aren’t like the other tanning salons that push lotions and try to upsell. It’s very friendly service.
I’ll be sad if I ever move from this neighborhood cause I love this place.

This place is awesome. You can tan, send out a fed ex package, check your mailbox, buy a bong, and now get your hair and waxing done. It is clean, super friendly and super cheap. They have a coupon that you buy a package, get another month free. I got the basic one which was like 34 bucks, so two months of unlimited tanning for 34 bucks? Are you kidding? They have a ton of different level beds.
The best thing… they don’t try and up sell you anything! The owner is awesome, super friendly and when I asked about lotions he recommended one I love that was on the cheaper side. Try getting that somewhere else. I drive all the way over from NE just to tan here, passing by a brand new Tan Republic and other overpriced joints.
There pretty much isn’t parking but never had a problem with street parking.

My fiancé and I were planning our honeymoon for Maui. This is by far the best kept secret in our area for tanning. Always clean, friendly and knowledgable staff, and convenient. Minor parking issue some days, but we dont mind walking ten more feet for this place!

My wife and I tan here in preparation for our honeymoon in the Virgin Islands. We originally checked out one of the chain tanning salons, and found the service and pricing offensive. At Woodstock tan, you get great deals, no attempts to upsell, and you are supporting local business owners.
Also, there is a smoke shop and a mailing annex attached, and a liquor store next door, which would normally strike me as a little shady, except that it’s located on 43rd and Woodstock, one of the cleanest and safest neighborhoods in Portland.
The owner, Paul, is a great guy, and I enjoy talking to him. He has a lot of different beds, although I just use the basic because I’m super pale. $ 35/​month for unlimited tans! If you want a «salon» experience with pretentious d-​bags selling you overpriced bronzer, then this is not the place for you. If you prefer a low price, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere, then go to Woodstock tan.

great beds, not overused, very clean and staff is extra helpful and friendly. aka not just trying to sell you lotions and add-on’s like the average upscale tanning salon. i love it here and the prices are more than fair. i pay $ 35 for a month of unlimited tanning and they always have great specials and deals!
