Melanie is the best. She offers a full scope of services from day of coordination to full wedding planning and design. I wanted to be very active in planning my wedding, since it was an Indian/​Italian wedding and I had to do lots of cultural balancing to ensure both sides were represented. Needless to say, we worked with a ton of vendors from different areas in the NE. Although I planned my wedding, I can honestly say it wouldn’t have happened without Melanie. Melanie always goes above and beyond to make sure that your special day goes smoothly. For example, Melanie steamed my dress because the bottom was wrinkled and I didn’t have time to take it to a dry cleaner. She also went and purchased more wine when we ran out. Needless to say she goes above and beyond and allows you the flexibility to work with vendors you’ve selected, but can also recommend great vendors as well.

Melanie is not only the best wedding planner/​coordinator you could hire, she is the best consultant or contractor of ANY type that you could hire. And she is a caring, good hearted person on top of that. She knows wedding planning and coordinating inside and out, including the best vendors to use at your wedding. She recommended a terrific band, florist, photographer, transportation for our guests, and lighting. She ordered and addressed our invitations; purchased and packed beautiful hotel guest bags; and ordered and assembled delectable party favor confections.
Melanie answers every e-​mail and telephone call very promptly, often instantly. She has endless patience in answering any and all questions, no matter how detailed. She is very considerate about driving to a client’s home for meetings. She is brilliant at scheduling every minute of a 6-​hour wedding so that all of the many moving parts flow smoothly. My daughter’s wedding was wonderful, and Melanie deserves most of the credit. Your family should enjoy the guests, food, and music without having to manage the practical details. Melanie will have your back. Hiring her was the single best decision we made in preparing for my daughter’s wedding. All the good things that followed flowed from that decision.

We live in Austin and planned our wedding in Southern Maine near where I grew up. We were planning a wedding in a short time (five months) and knew that we would need a lot of help finding vendors and making arrangements.
I knew that Melanie was fantastic as soon as I spoke to her on the phone and we hired her to help with all aspects of the planning. I found Melanie very organized and professional. She was always available when we needed her and worked with us on everything from the smallest, to the most important detail.
Melanie was able to offer input and suggestions that added tremendous value. I’m a detailed person but the number of things that she thought of, which would never have been on my radar, were astounding. Every time a detail popped into my head (‘do I need to…’) she had already taken care of it.
Melanie is awesome and I think that having her as our planner prevented a lot of stress. It was well worth it to have a planner and I would recommend Melanie to anyone.

In beginning to plan my wedding, I discussed with a recently-​married friend where she thought she got the most bang for the buck. She said, without a doubt, it was her day-​of wedding planner. With that in mind, my budget was very tight.
Although we currently live in CA, my husband and I are from MA and got married outside Boston in June 2011. Knowing that I wouldn’t be able to meet any of my vendors until the week before the wedding, phone calls and emails were of the utmost importance. After the first time I talked to Melanie on the phone, I knew I was going to have to make room for her in my budget, and I can say that, it really was, without a doubt, some of the best money I spent.
Simply put, Melanie d-​e-​f-​i-​n-​e-​s the phrase «on top of things.» I am a very organized, detail-​oriented person, but she blew me away. Leading up to the wedding, she was consistently offering suggestions, alternatives, support, and laughter. The day of my wedding, although I maybe only saw her twice, she worked pure magic. She anticipated what I’d need or want, and things would just appear on the head table before I realized what it was I needed or wanted.
This review really doesn’t do her services justice — she really, really is the cream of the crop. I cannot imagine what my wedding would have been like without her.
