I sent my elderly mother in to Dr. Mailbox with a small package that was completely ready to go with postage and all .it just needed to be handed to the UPS driver. Matt wanted to charge a $ 1.00 handling fee! For seriously handing the package to the driver? This was a senior citizen on a limited income… it doesn’t cost ANYTHING for UPS to pickup from your store. We just moved back to town and we were going to have you put in our new mailbox. For a $ 1.00 you just lost the $ 700 sale. Poor community service. BTW There is a UPS pick-up box in the medical complex behind Roses CHURCHLANDMEDCTR 3800POPLARHILLRD, CHESAPEAKE, VA, 23321 Latest drop-off:Ground: 6:00PM and it’s FREE!!!

I went to Dr. Mailbox because I needed a mailbox for my business. Not sure why the building didn’t have one before, but now, it does. Sam, owner, helped me pick out a professional, durable, and secure mailbox that fit my price range and needs. He was able to include installation, and the order came in in the time frame it was promised. There are a variety of items for sale in Dr. Mailbox that have nothing to do with mailboxes, so if you like hot sauces, or various odds and ends, stop in there for a peek. He was professional, courteous, and did a great job with installation. I have not used him for any package shipment, so I cannot comment on those services.

I visited this store for the first time yesterday and it was a not so pleasant experience. When I walked in, I asked an older woman, who I presume to be the owner, if they mail USP packages. She directed me towards a man standing at a glass counter. He could not have been colder. I asked him the same and he informed me that they had a $ 1.00 handling fee. When I asked if I could pay with a card as I don’t carry cash, he have me a brief, cold, «No.» I then asked if he knew of a nearby place that mails UPS packages and I received the same response. No greeting, no smile, no willingness to provide even halfway decent customer service. I have a very low tolerance for the bitter, so I left quickly before I said something I regretted.
