Eden Salon and Spa

First off, I have had my hair done here on and off for several years but the service provided to mu children the other day was highly unprofessional. An appointment was made 2 days prior for two children to receive a flatiron straightening service.
Poor husband feel into «a get a shampoo before they start the real work» trap. However after 2 hours the children were still not done with the services. The appointment was set up for 430. Unbeknownst to us there was only one stylist working on two children’s hair. One was being worked on while the other was on deck.
After speaking to management at 630 another person appeared and assisted with the initial 1^st stylist on the 2^nd childs hair. Two children whom received a shampoo and flatiron were there until 7pm.
Why there were not 2 stylist for 2 different individuals scheduled at the same time is my question for this business.
2 stars because they did get their hair done. However it was not of consistent quality like they had received in the past. Not just the service the overall hair style has been better in the past.
Very disappointed in services received.

I am very disappointed in this place. I have gone for massages, which have been great, and have referred many people, but after the last visit I wont return. I sent my daughter here for highlights after calling for an estimate. I was quoted a price range based on her hair length and thickness. My daughter is 17. My daughter came home in tears because they had charged her almost 3x the quoted price. When I called to speak with the manager she blamed my daughter for not knowing that highlights could be expensive. There was no mention from the stylist that the cost had changed or what that cost would be. On the receipt there was several «additions» that added costs. Again, she was not informed. She clearly would have told them no if she had been told of the extra addins. My daughter brought in a picture which she stated the stylist didnt look at. The manager claimed she would talk to the stylist and call back, I am still waiting for that call. I felt my daughter was taken advantage of because of her age. The manager should be fired for not calling a customer back. This is not how you do business. My family will not go back and I will no longer refer people. Sad to say my daughter still left a tip because she has a heart, unfortunately it got trambled. To make matters worse, she showed me her hair and one side was 2″ longer than the other side.

I went to this salon once for a spa package I made for myself. My nail tech was great, very nice gal, but the nails chipped less than 24 hours later. The massage therapist is great, though I was never given a heads up that it was a man, not a woman.
The reason I gave this place three was for my stylist and the receptionist. Not to be cruel, but the receptionist was not he brightest crayon in the box and was constantly reminding my hair stylist and nail tech of what time it was and how much time they had left. Which is annoying. As a client I don’t need to feel that my stylist is rushing through my appointment in order to meet the needs of someone else. I’m still as much a paying customer.
The worst was my stylist. She was a bit ‘abrasive’ and when I told her the style I thought I’d like she told me blatantly and with a tone ‘no that won’t look good on you with your round face’. Though I appreciate honesty, the tact was not there. I’m 5’6 about 145 lbs and that comment about my round face and medium forehead made me feel that she was implying I was fat. She washed my hair and de tangled my hair with a BRUSH! I’ve never in my life had a stylist brush my hair after a wash! I’ve also never had them pull it out of a drawer and remove some of the existing hair! The brush was not in barbicide. I had her stop and use a comb; there was no way that brush was touching my hair.
The other stylists were also gossipy and talked about one another when one would leave the room. I felt like I was in a high school locker room. It was unprofessional and a bit annoying.

I was thoroughly disappointed. The young lady who did my toes and eyebrows was extremely pleasant, however, she did a sub-​par job on both my feet and eyes. She did not realize I had polish on my toes until I mentioned it, after putting oil on them. She did not clean under my toe nails and the paint was not to my cuticle. When I looked at my eyebrows after she waxed them and told her I still saw a significant amount of hair, she responded «that won’t come off». She tried again and it was still sloppy. Never have i got my eyebrows waxed and told the hair will not come off (idiotic at best). I decided against the manicure.
The stylist who was to cut my hair (Dana, I believe) was not pleasant at all or knew what a hair trim was. She asked me if I wanted an inch or a half inch cut off. I explained before and after her uneducated question, that I did not want a cut, just a trim. I’ve never had a professional ask me that after telling them I needed a trim. Then she became coy responding, «do you not understand ?». I advised I felt uncomfortable proceeding, thanked the staff, refusing another stylist, paid and left. I found a great clips a few miles away, got my trim (for cheaper) with a confident stylist who gave me great tips for my hair. I was not asked stupid questions about how much of my hair I wanted cut off, she knew exactly what I expected (as a stylist whom your paying should with something sooooo simple)!!
If you want expertise, this salon is not for you. Four thumbs down!!!

They were very very sweet! My daughter and I did a last minute spa day, and they were able to get us in for hair, but not for nails. I was very thankful. I have been looking for a place that is full service for a long time, and this place is it! Very sanitary, very friendly, and very positive! I am making this my full on till I move away salon!

Was fabulous and fun, they are super fun. Its worth the drive and the gas :) my nails came out perfect and i didn’t have that awkward silence when getting them done the girl who did my nails was my age and super fun. Can’t wait to go again

I came in here today to simply purchase a nail polish. I walked in and they seemed to be closed, but a man was at the front counter encouraging me to come in. He did not seem bothered by the fact that I came in there after hours and was very willing to help me find whatever I needed. I purchased an OPI nail polish and he gave me a 20% discount just because I was pregnant! Um, love him! His name was Dan.
He then offered to show me around. I’m talking like, every room. He spoke to me about deals and everything. So sweet. Will be coming back here after I have the baby because guess what?! They offer complimentary beer and wine! It’s nice to have a place like this in Virginia. You just don’t find much of it around these parts. Love!

The lovely ladies at Eden fit us in at the last second, and treated us VERY well. I got an express pedi and a gel manicure, and one of my bridesmaids also got an express pedi. We called about 20 minutes before we got there, and they squeezed us right in. They offered us wine, and were very friendly and chatty. This was right before my rehearsal dinner, so I was worried about getting back to the hotel to get a shower in time, but instead asked to get my hair shampooed there, and they did it! I wish I could remember everyone’s names– I know there was a Crystal at the front desk and a Crystal that did my shampoo (soo relaxing) and there was also a Katie and one other girl… regardless they were all fantastic and I will be returning.
