First time eyeglass wearer, purchased eyeglasses from these folks less than 9 months ago for $ 800 which I found I could buy most any where else for ¼ of the cost. The glasses were very crazy expensive and was talked into purchasing a 2 year«replacement» policy. Well I broke them while on vacation and called and was told, I was responsible for 50% of the replacement cost. Are you kidding me? Never going back! Stay away folks…

Disappointment for the premium price they make you pay. I only went once and that was enough. I was a patient transferred from Dr. Norman’s office after his retirement. His facility was a real ophthalmologist clinic. This one not so much. Like I said I only had one appointment, but that should leave no room for excuses to mess anything up. Plus I am a new patient and this is my first impression right? Wrong. It took forever to get an appoint for a glaucoma scan, I had to wait more then 20 minutes, then billing was a hot mess. Nothing is worse then paying up front but I understand, most facility’s have this policy. They assured me they would handle the claim with my insurance. I felt good about this. One month went by, the second month went by and I called billing. They had no idea because they outsource another company to handle all insurances. Another 3 days. They found that they had sent the claim to the wrong address and had to resubmit. OK. Why am I doing all this back tracking for what is supposed to be a prestigious eye care center? It took a total of 4 months for the insurance debacle to end. Finding quality medical treatment is so difficult, I think you can find better else where and at a cheaper price. The front office admin kept pressuring me to take an annual eye exam with Dr. Goldblatt that could cost anywhere from $ 200 – 400. For an annual eye exam, I understand there can be additional tests, but what in the world? Now that I have moved. I’m in the process of transferring my files, even though I was transferred to their facility I still have to pay the admin fee and the cost per copy. Unreasonable. On a positive note, the facility appears to be very clean and the technician I met for my scan was very nice. I believe NH/Maine options are limited for MD care which sucks. The ones that are available are either too far away or do not accept your insurance. Be sure to Unilocal the reviews for their satellite offices and you’ll see Exeter has poor reviews as well. Don’t forget to eat your carrots!
