Firefly Pottery

My students had made me a beautiful platter from Firefly at the end of the school year that I absolutely cherish. I was finally able to go myself last Thursday with the children I babysit and it was wonderful! What a fantastic environment for creating – the environment was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The kids had a blast and were so proud of their masterpieces! I loved it so much I came back with a few of my friends today and I will certainly be returning in the future. The price is right and they offer so many options to allow you to create! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unleash their artistic side or even those looking for a unique gift to give! The artists there are very talented and can help bring any of your ideas to life!

Went here with my niece the other day… we had a blast. The owner was very helpful and nice. Lots of items to choose from at a very fair price. Can’t wait to go back and make more.

I absolutely love this shop! They are friendly and helpful with beginners and experienced. I call this place my therapy session! So relaxing, lots of items to choose from and a bonus if you want to do some glass fusing they have that too!

I love this little shop more and more every year we come! My husband and I live in California, with our two daughters, but our family live out in New England, so every summer My daughters and I go out and visit the east coast. When we went to Firefly for first time with my mother, the girls (4 and 8) had so much fun! I was endeared by this little shop, and it became a tradition. My daughters spend all year planning on what to do the next time they come! Now coming back today, the girls (7 and 11) still enjoy it even more than the first time. Our favorite part of the whole store is Denise, the owner. She is super friendly and nice. I know that previous reviews claim that she was not clear on what to do, but all you have to do is ask!!! She will no doubt go above and beyond if you ask for her help! Overall a great shop and tons of fun!

What a cute little shop :) I brought a little friend of mine here for a girlie day and we both had a great time. Everything was very clean and organized. I thought that there was a big selection of pieces to choose from and the prices were not bad at all. We had a lot of fun and that is really all that mattered to us :)

My niece and I went once and were given very little assistance or direction when painting pottery. We did have a good time, but it just was a little confusing as to whether we should grab our own paint, ask for help, what next???
That was last year. Last week, I checked out the website and saw «Therapy Night» on Tuesday nights. I called on the night before to ask if we needed reservations. I was told to just come by-​it was happening between 6 and 9 pm. We wanted do glass fusing and it would be a gift for the people I was bringing. I was told to just come by, no problem. Reservations are only necessary for groups over 8. We got there at 6:25. The doors were locked tight with no sign on the door. I called and there was no «we closed early» message on the machine. I left a voicemail asking if I misunderstood our call from the night before and asked for someone to call me so we could try again the next morning. We never got a call. I thought the place was fun the first time, despite the confusion, but am disappointed.

The website was misleading as to what would be in stock. I was looking forward to walking in and having someone be excited to help you create something! This was not what happened, no one was eager to help. I will not be going back here. Call ahead and see if they actually have the item you were looking for. Looked like the kids there were happy though.

If you are looking for a fun time with kids, or a great time for friends to meet up and do something, this place is great! The staff is friendly and always available to help out. The place is large and there is a great selection of bisque ware to paint.
The prices are a flat rate and you do not have to pay for paint or the time that you spend there. You are allowed to bring food and drinks in, but they do have a small selection of treats and a coffee/​tea brew machine.
LOVE IT!
They have Tuesday and Thursday nights open till 9pm.
