I saw Dr. Chris and I thought he was totally F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!! I no longer live in the area, but i came in because I crushed my retainer(long story). First of all… I’m a rare case. I’m an adult and YES… I still wear my retainer(part time only!)Why I still wear it… Lets just say… I remember how mean high school was and I have no plans to relive it! Unlike the first the first reviewer(Mei– DOG) my mouth wasn’t jacked up! Brace free on my end! Moving along… Dr. Chris(Liang) did a full check up and made sure no shifting has taken place. I then requested for a new retainer. Wow to my surprise retainers has evolve to these clear trays(think invisalign or bleach tray… better yet… spanks, but for teeth! lol!) and he assured me they work as well as my original retainer. What?! No more metal wires across my teeth and I’m able to speak clearly. Sign me up, Dr. C!

I think Dr. Christopher Liang is okay. He’s fab, but not FABULOUS like his Dad, Dr. Donald Liang. I had to give C-Dawg the three stars opposed to Big Daddy D’s four stars because of the pain factor. What C said to me resonates a totally opposite approach than his father. «No pain no gain, right?» His dad would say, «See, the trick is to trick nature.» Donald would say when you feel pain in your teeth and jaw from shifting of the teeth your body naturally sends out a signal and calcium gets sent to those teeth. This can cause the teeth to shift and move slower, prolonging your orthodontic treatment. Moving the teeth too far too quickly and making the process an overly painful one is not the way. Let’s just say I don’t think Christopher has the same magic touch as his Dad. A couple of times I had my wire adjusted by him, I teared up. I remember praying that the pain wouldn’t be as shocking as the first time he adjusted my wires. Dr. Donald Liang on the other hand will asks, «I’m not hurting you am I?» And always when he adjusts my wires the answer is «no.» Christopher gets the job done and he’s a cool guy, but it doesn’t seem that he has the same kind of gentleness and patience as his Dad. Other things to know stolen from my review of Dr. Donald Liang at this office( ): «Dr. Donald V. Liang works with his son Dr. Christopher Liang(read my review for him). They work out of three locations and the Friendship Heights office is one of them. They also have an office in Potomac and one in College Park. You can visit them at any of their three offices. I believe this location is Dr. Donald Liang’s main office. Unlike his Friendship Height’s office which has only photos of Dr. Blackwood(the other orthodontist that uses this office when the Liang’s aren’t), there are actually photos of Dr. Donald Liang and his son Dr. Christopher Liang. You’ll definitely like this office the most because it’s so clean, new, and modern. The office is very well lit and the waiting room has tons of magazines of all sorts. Sometimes, I’m like „Aw, already?“ because I want to finish reading the magazines. There’s ample parking, and the office is in the same building as Bank of America. It is off of Falls and River Road so you can easily get here from 495 or 270. Across the road there is a gas station and a shopping center. Flaps( …), Safeway are closeby located in the Potomac Plaza S.C. This office is open the 2nd Saturday of each month and every other Mon and Wed, Tuesdays, and Fridays.»
