Party venues are expensive and hard to find. My task was to find a place that would allow 30 children areas for games, arts and crafts, and tables and chairs for cake and snacks. Potomac Community Center was a pleasure to deal with. I set up the reservation weeks in advance. I got the time and day of my choice. You will have to do some work on your own. The tables and chairs were provided at no extra charge, but you are responsible for setting them up and taking them down. Potomac Community Center requires a $ 100 dollar security deposit to make sure that you clean up and put things away. We had two rooms, one that included a fridge and sink. We had plenty of room for parents and kids. They allow you 30 minutes ahead of time to set up and 30 minutes after the party ends to clean up. They even let us come in an hour before the party to blow up balloons and hang decorations. There is a large ballroom that holds 150 guests. So, when you are throwing your next big event, don’t forget they are ready to help.
