I wanted to love my experience, I really did… but it was just ok. Went in with 2 other friends and we were told to sit at the bar to wait. After some miscommunication, we were transferred to a table. Here’s the thing. + AYCE brunch + small dishes so you can try a ton of things + 1 cent mimosas with AYCE deal(pineapple/grapefruit/OJ) — you need to know what you want far in advance so they can take their sweet sweeeet time to prepare it. — order a lot at once so when they do come, you will be able to eat while you wait for the rest — confusion during busy hours/miscommunication — lack of quality control! **pretty please work on this** What I was most disappointed in aside from the fact that it takes SO long for them to deliver dishes, was that they messed up my order of breakfast carbonara. They gave me a bowl of noodles with bacon bits and an egg on top with no sauce. Not a bad brunch place, I would just avoid that carbonara option when I go back. What to get: Chicken & Waffle French Toast Fritatta Crème Brulee

Great brunch. Unlimited mimosas and very tasty food. The food comes like tapas so order up because the portions are very small. I like this idea because you get to sample different dishes and they were all delicious. My favorite was the Chicken and Waffles and the Steak and Eggs.

My friends and I ate for their brunch. We opted for the 35.00 special. The portion sizes were small which was fine. However, the taste were just ok. The service was poor. The waitress was not friendly and at time, annoyed. the location is nice. Its nxt to founding farmer which i would recommend. I wont be going back to sugo. Sorry

Came here for brunch with a group of about 20 people. The $ 35 all you can eat option was great for such a big group. we got multiples of everything. Highlights were: Chicken and waffle(the addition of cherries makes this dish), steak and eggs, ricotta and fig toast and the hangover potatoes. will definitely have to go back for dinner, since the pasta menu looked enticing.

Can’t believe I did not hear about this place sooner! A bunch of my friends and I came here for the all-you-can-eat brunch for $ 35 and 1 cent mimosas. Who can pass that up? With such a large group and our large appetites, we decided to order all the tapas on the brunch menu. This was the best choice we could have made, why not try a little of everything? I can say I was not disappointed by any of the brunch items. However, my favorite was probably the waffles and french toast. the waffles were so crisp, and the french toast so deliciously sweet! Second bests would be the deviled eggs with a pesto sauce(never tried a combo like that and it really works!), steak and eggs, and any of the eggs benedicts available. Really you can’t go wrong with any of their choices. They also have some really unique options like a breakfast pizza and breakfast carbonara pasta. I like to see places pushing the envelope with brunch, and this place certainly does. The service was very prompt and polite. They were very accommodating with our group and explained how everything on the menu works. I would definitely make a reservation since this place seems to be a hot commodity right now. The restaurant itself looks hip and new, and is located in a very nice shopping center in Potomac. My only caveat would be how the mimosas were served. The flavor itself was not bad, but most of the mimosas were luke warm. I would have liked them to be a little more fresh and cold. But I am assuming they have tons of pitchers of it ready-made for the brunch rush. The good thing is they have orange, pineapple and grapefuit flavors, yum! Maybe I’ll just ask for a glass of ice next time as well. I’ve already recommended this place to others and will be sure to come back!

Came here for a graduation brunch and everything was on point. There was 15 of us and our waiter took care of us. The food for the AYCE were amazing. Highly recommended, also if you can make reservations that would be good too because it gets packed.

I went on ½ priced pizza night on Monday and was able to try a bunch of different things(bread & butter to start, seasonal caprese salad, the J.W., Pulcinella, Sausage Pasta, and Risotto) and every single thing was amazing. I was expecting everything to be great going in because they are owned by Cava but I didn’t think it would be this great. This may be my favorite pizza in montgomery county now(sorry Pizza CS).

We did $ 30 brunch there. A good selection of quality dishes. My favorite dishes are Breakfast Pizza(with Egg topping), Egg & Steak, Spicy Fennel Sausage(not hot spicy, with excellent flavor), Sugo Bennie(egg Benedict), and French Toast(a must have). The brunch includes free juice. And we were very lucky to have Danny, as our waiter, who was professional, attentive, and quick. He made our brunch at Sugo Osteria a greater pleasure.

I’ve been here twice for brunch and I’ve always had a good experience. The small plates are totally worth it. Can’t beat that for $ 30. I like that they validate parking unlike their neighbor next door! During my last visit, I noticed that the mimosas are a penny each(no complaints there). It does get packed for brunch so I definitely recommend making a reservation. I’ll be back again. I’d like to try their happy hour.

The food here is awful. It wasn’t just a dream. One of my friends made a reservation for 10 for a friend’s birthday. To start, we got the mimosas($ 30 bottomless mimosas with unlimited food from the menu). Ugh did we have to go to this lame ass millennial shopping center? Why can’t we just go to dim sum, simps. The fried chicken and waffles: there is no chicken in that joint. It’s all fried scraps. I can make way better waffles. Every day in my 3rd year of college I made three Belgian waffles with powdered sugar and syrup. Sippin on some sizzurp, sip sippin on some sip. The steak and eggs: that salsa verde with the pesto? Come on bro. Hardly any flavor in that steak or eggs. I need more protein in order to hit my macros or whatever those dumb apps tell me to do. Mimosas were meh. Too sour! That’s what she said. The omelette was meh. I once made a youtube video about how to make a goat cheese omelette. I can get you the link if interested. The bagel with capers, tomatoes, onions, etc. obviously came from a package. The breakfast pizza sucked, too. Haha I swear that not a single item was worth eating. Not even the challah French toast. I ain’t no Challah back girl. Few times I’ve been around that track So it’s not just gonna happen like that Cuz I ain’t no Challah back girl I ain’t no Challah back girl The patrons were beautiful, and so was our waitress, but I’m not thirsty anymore so that won’t win you five stars anymore.

Just to be clear, we are usually big fans of Sugo but this was the first time trying their Sunday Brunch. My wife went with 3 of her girlfriends for her birthday brunch today. The waitress was so rude from the second they walked in until the time they left. She seemed annoyed to be there and barely came by to check on them. Even a simple cup of coffee took 20 minutes and they had to ask for it several times. The service started with a list of «rules», or at least that’s what it felt like, of how and what you can order. It wasn’t so much what the rules were but more how rude she was when she explained them. She totally made them feel like they should be eating brunch somewhere else. As far as the actual food goes, the small plates were good and the zeppolis were great so no huge complaints there. The bottom line is once they get over the bad taste left from this morning, they will probably go back for dinner and the bar but never again for Sunday brunch. To have such bad customer service after we have patronized this restaurant so many times is frustrating. Note to management, the quality of the food is only half of the experience. Update: I’ve already heard from the owner and this issue was heard loud and clear and he assured me that it would be addressed. Their customer service is excellent! Sugo is a 5 Star restaurant that had a 3 Star day — It happens. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Brunch review. I recommend sitting at the bar as you’ll get more server attention and quick delivery of food. The selection and flavor of the brunch items are absolutely amazing and $ 30 for all you can eat is amazing. I recommend the steak and eggs, the French toast, the benedicts, and bacon.

Omggggggg! Why haven’t I been here before? Seriously. I come to the places nearby, but never came here! Thanks to my friends, we came here the morning after partying all night at our company gala. I almost slept in instead, but I’m so glad I didn’t! We all ordered the All You Can Eat Brunch and bottomless mimosas. Yas! They had me at mimosa! :) Our server was awesome. He came back to check on us often. Our mimosas were certainly bottomless! He made sure that we didn’t want for anything. To save you all the agony of reading everything we tried from the brunch menu… just know we tried it all! The dishes come out tapa style, so they are pretty small. Since there were 4 of us, we just kept ordering and tasting each item. Everything was delicious! My faves were the nutella waffle, chicken & waffle and the breakfast pizza. I definitely plan on coming back soon. I’m thinking this will be a great place to bring mom or dad for a great brunch! Tip: If you order the breakfast pizza, just know it is not small like the other dishes. It’s about the size of a medium pizza. So, be sure that you don’t get full off of that if you’re planning to try other food.

Sugo might be more well known for its bottomless brunches, but its happy hour is awesome and has a ton of food/drink specials. A large group of us came for a weeknight happy hour and ordered a few bottles of wine and also had some of the many appetizers. I particularly liked the brussel sprouts and margerita pizza. I only wish that happy hour ran longer so we had more time to try more of the app specials! The only downside is that happy hour is only available at the bar, which is a wraparound bar in the middle of the restaurant with no high-top tables. If you have more than 3 people in your group, some of you will have to stand if you want to all hang out together instead of sitting all in a row along the bar. This was especially annoying for us because we were off to one side in front of the bathroom entrance — other restaurant goers were constantly walking between us in order to reach the bathroom.

From a consummate bruncher’s point of view, SuGo is a REALLY solid choice is you’re always on the hunt for a fun, tasty, affordable, and do-it-again brunch fest with your friends. They’re reservation-friendly, and have no problem accommodating groups(we were a party of 10). They’ll seat you with 50% of your party present; that’s great, since the waiting area in the front of the restaurant is very compact. Make sure you choose your brunch mates carefully — that $ 30 all-you-can-eat and drink brunch is supposedly only valid if everyone at the table opts for that option. But seriously — how can you not go for that deal? With such a wide variety of foods from which to choose, several mimosa styles, and very friendly waiters and food runners, your cup will runneth over(maybe literally), and your wallet won’t run empty. If you’re looking steer clear of breads, that’s actually not a problem — there are great omelettes, frittatas, potato-based dishes, spicy sausage, the OMG-yum Hangover Potatoes, a great Greek yogurt dish, and so much more — perfect for either a gluten-conscious person or someone trying to tell themselves a bottomless brunch can be healthy(me). Don’t worry, there are so many bread-indulgent things too, such as the to-die-for Nutella waffle, the challah French toast, and the two Benedicts were also so good. A few girls at my table chose the pizza(which is pretty big), and it has some big old eggs cracked right on top for the perfect breakfast pizza. Best of all everything is so shareable, if you want, or you don’t have to share. It depends! You don’t have to feel like you must share, because you can always order more during your two-hour-max stint at your table. At throughout the entire visit, your waiter will make sure your mimosa — pineapple, grapefruit, or blood orange — never runs empty(they’ll make you a Bloody Mary if you prefer) and that you always have plenty of clean sharing plates(while efficiently clearing the dirty ones). In a lively, sunny atmosphere in a convenient location — SuGo is a really great choice. Parking can seem like a pain here as Harris Teeter has like a monopoly on the entire surface lot, and there’s really no need to valet, so just save the trouble and park in the underground garage(parking will either be free or validated anyway).

I had brunch here on new years day and this was the best way to start off 2016. the place was packed but I got seated relatively soon being a party of 7. PROS: the unlimited tapas brunch and bottomless mimosas will keep you coming back for more. my favorite was the breakfast pizza with potatoes, eggs & sausage. between me and everyone at my table we tried everything on the menu, you can order more than one thing at a time. its like they are encouraging you to be indecisive lol. the bottomless mimosas come in 4 different flavors(pineapple, orange, grapefruit, or cranberry). there service was great, waiter stayed very attentive to our table even thought we were a large group. CONS: at 2:30 they stop taking anymore orders, but you get enough warning when that is coming up. also they are strict about making sure you finish all of your mimosa before they give you refills. the unlimited brunch & mimosa for $ 30 is only available if everyone at the table orders that deal but then again who wouldn’t pick that deal!

I am surprised as to how much I like Sugo. The menu is trendy Italian fare, which can be hit or miss in my opinion, but I’ve been here three times now and the food had been consistently good. I recommend the sangria(good blend of booze and fruit), truffle gnocchi(fabulous), and the super greens salad(nice and even blend of veggies). But I was unimpressed by my caprese that I ordered the last time I was there. It was just big blobs of tomato and mozzarella on the plate and I could have made a prettier version at home myself. Of the pizzas I enjoyed the pulcinella which was tasty and came a big and filling portion. This place runs a bit pricy, but it’s nice for a night out. The space is hip and open concept. It can get loud but that’s part of the fun. Definitely want to try their brunch one of these days.

*Brunch Review Only* I honestly cannot think of a better place in this area to go for brunch. The food here is amazing! The brunch is very fairly priced at $ 30 a person for unlimited tapas and mimosas or bloody marys. Everyone at your table will have to participate in the deal in order to get it. When I come here, I come to eat. I have ordered almost one of each plate offered for brunch and honestly have liked every single one. I always order extra bacon and the nutella waffles. I love the hash and steak and eggs. The only«shareable» item on the menu is the breakfast pizza which is surprisingly big! It is my favorite! I love it. And get it every time. I do feel that sometimes, more than others, the wait staff can be a little slow. I know there have been a few times I waited a really long time just to get my first greeting and had to ask someone to get the waiter. But. the food is amazing. And I keep going back. Love it.

Happy Hour Review I came here for HH with a group of folks — yes we took over most of the bar area. As I sat down at the bar(it is U shaped with maybe 20 seats), I ordered some items from their HH menu. HH pricing is only available Mon to Fri, 4pm to 7pm and in the bar only. Under Libations(HH menu), you can choose beer, wine or cocktails costing from $ 4 to $ 8. I opted to get something different — apple martini, but it was not at the HH price. On my next visit I may try their Bucks & Mules drink($ 6) as the folks near me enjoyed theirs. Since it was my first time to this place, when it was time to order something to eat, I ended up getting 2 items. I have since learned that it is best to order one item first, wait to see the size of it and if it were small, then order another item. Wish I had thought of that earlier on this visit as I ordered the Spaghetti Fritters and the Margherita Pizza. What came out first was the pizza and I thought to myself: how am I going to eat all that knowing that I had one more dish coming out, and lo and behold, within a few minutes my fritters arrived. One looking at my dishes in front of me would think I was greedy or maybe just really hungry. I was neither, but I was still satisfied with what I got. I love the overall HH prices on food which ranges from $ 3 to $ 9 and the items looked good — mussels, sliders, a sandwich, even pizza among other choices. So I first had the Spaghetti Fritters which are described as Crispy Fritters with Italian Ham, Marinara and Mascarpone Cheese. They tasted like macaroni and cheese rounded in a ball and breaded… it was so good — I had to cool it as it was hot, but it was very delicious. I then moved on to the Margherita Pizza which is described with Housemade Mozzarella, Basil and San Marzano Tomato and it was very big for a HH size. I liked it, but didn’t love it as it was more doughy than I wanted it to be. However, the food overall was just good and the service was on point and that is what brings me back to places. On my next visit, I will be trying some more food choices(HH of course) and I see that they offer gelato too, so I will be having some of that. I cannot forget that a few in my group tried a drink called Cotton Candy Martini… starts off as cotton candy being placed in a wine glass with some mixed liquor poured over it and it tastes like a flavored mojito. Can we say Girls Night Out?

I have to write an update to rip on them a bit because last week’s food was so mediocre! I Ordered bolognese again because I liked it so much the last time and it was nowhere as good as the first time. The portion sizes were bigger(trying to appease some of the complaints about tapas style restaurants?) but it was so bland, watery and flavorless and the ziti was mushy. And the blue crab gnocchi is over-rated and bland. There was a lot of crab in it, but it did not excuse the dish for being so unforgettable. The pineapple bits in my white sangria also tasted like an old bar towel. Now, the crispy pork belly was the highlight of my meal, but seriously you can’t butcher up deep fried pork. They were fantastic last time(save for the service) but inconsistency is a big«no-no» in my book.

Nice place. Definitely the happy hour spot for the attorneys who work next door. It gets crowded and quite loud quickly, but the food was good. Try any appetizer and you won’t be disappointed. The pizza looked good, but I can’t attest it its taste. If I’m in the area again, I’d definitely come back for a quick bite, friendly company, and maybe a spirited debate about the Commerce Clause.

Definitely a great all-you-can-eat brunch. For $ 30, it comes with bloody marys or mimosas(also all you can drink), and is far nicer than a buffet– the menu has a variety of small plates, which can be ordered all at once, or in groups, as many times as you’d like. My favorites were the chicken and waffles, the lox bagel, and the steak and eggs. In fact, I think I had at least four helpings of the steak(hey! the plates are small :) don’t judge)… The deviled eggs and the bacon were also stand-outs. The service was prompt and friendly, very helpful. And while I balked a little at the price initially, the drinks made me feel like I was getting a good value. The atmosphere is maybe a little too trendy for kids(tables are close to one another, the food has some surprising twists like sour cherries on the waffles– if your kid is an adventurous eater, they’ll love it) but it was perfect for brunch with friends on a Sunday morning. Will return.

I went here for dinner, brunch and happy hour and it was all great! I’ve had the shrimp Parmesan for dinner. I tried the wings and mussels for happy hour. I’ve tried a slew of items on the brunch menu. The brunch is a pretty good deal for all you can eat & drink. However, you cannot take your leftovers home. I recommend the brunch pizza first. It’s HUGE and you will be full off that one dish. Go here for happy hour or brunch! Everyone is really nice.

Sugo Osteria is an Italian restaurant is Potomac Park Place between Zoe’s Kitchen and Founding Farmers. For lunch, they have appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, sandwiches, pies, and desserts. I liked how the restaurant had modern circular lights, warm colored mosaic décor on the outer walls, framed black and white photographs along the inner walls. It seems like the bar area would make a great happy hour spot. The food was good, the service was alright(our server was a bit arrogant) and the parking was limited. For drinks, each of us got Arnold Palmer. We requested it to be sweet rather than sour but it was way too tart for me. It was strange how one of the glasses was iced and the other without iced. We shared an appetizer and a pie. For appetizers, we tried the Blue Crab Gnocchi which consisted of homemade gnocchi, jumbo lump blue crabmeat, corn, and English peas in a creamy sauce. It was rich in flavors. However, the portion was a bit small for the price. For pies, we choose the Sugo White which was olive oil based pizza topped with fontina cheese, bechamel mozzarella, and roasted garlic. Since it was my first time here, I had unlocked a free dessert so we picked the Crème Brûlée which consisted of custard topped with caramelized sugar and blackberries. It was probably the best Crème Brûlée I’ve had in years. However, the blackberries were very tart.

Loved the AYCE brunch with mimosas and blood marys included! The outdoor seating is nice and it’s seems situated a little further away from everything, so peaceful place to come. We pretty much ordered as much as we could from the menu. My favorites were the steak-and-eggs, truffled eggs, breakfast pizza and sausage hash. The portions are pretty small however as it is all you can eat, it ends up being perfect. Service was great, staff was attentive, plenty of parking, and just a very nice environment for a weekend brunch.

I came here for Sunday Brunch with my neighbor. There was no way we needed the AYCE $ 30 Brunch. It is a pretty good deal for the quality of food, but I am quite fond of Pacci Tratatori’s $ 20AYCE brunch. To start, parking is easy. There are lots of spaces, and I don’t know if Harris Teeter aggressively tows. This is not Arlington. We decided to start by sharing the French toast because Unilocaler’s wrote so highly of it. It was delicious, but oh so tiny. It’s just one large piece of challah cut in half. Maybe we got the AYCE portion size.($ 7) We both had the omelet of the day which was mushroom and cheddar. It was delicious. I know it sounds ordinary, but it was made perfectly.($ 9) Then of course we didn’t really neeeeed it, but it was FREE with a Unilocal Check-in, dessert. We ordered their unique offering, Zeppoli. Five doughnut hole rounds of sugary pastry with a warm banana and chocolate filling. We were really full, but had to try them. They were free, so why not. They’re definitely worth trying, but will never replace bread pudding or peanut butter pie as my favorite dessert. I love the atmosphere. Our waiter was great. I really want to come back for happy hour. Maybe this summer when I get my Get-out-of-school-for-free card. June 23rd can’t come quick enough.

Came here for the unlimited tapas style brunch and mimosas($ 30) on a sunday afternoon. It was pretty packed, the wait was around 30−45minutes. Not too bad granted we just walked in. My friends and I pretty much tried everything on the menu. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. Everything else was a hit or miss. The truffled eggs were pretty good, so my friend ordered another round, but this time they came half filled. The bacon was also a hit or miss, who doesn’t love bacon?! But the second round of this was slightly undercooked, not so crunchy :(My friend liked the nutella waffle, I thought it was ok, would have been better if it was warm. Carbarnara was definitely meh, bland to me. I actually liked the frittata. There are tube noodles in it that made it pretty unique. Everything else was ok. The mimosas were light, I ordered the bloody mary(of course) which I loved. Fresh with a lime and slight spicy tang. If only you would put it in a bigger cup for me! Overall I would come again, but expect it to be packed on a weekend so I suggest come early!

This review is only for their lunch menu. Like Cava, which is owned by the same folks, their dishes seem to be on the smaller side. I’ve only had their pasta and salads, which have all been pretty tasty. My sister ordered the Lamb Shank Pappardelle, which was delicious. It had a good amount of braised lamb in it. I ordered the Carbonara, which had bacon bits and some kind of seed in it. The pasta as a whole was good, but the sauce was a little too cheesy. I’m also not a fan of the Bucatini pasta. The previous time I was at Sugo, I got a pappardelle pasta with chicken that was also really good, but they no longer have it on their menu. Their Arugula salad is also pretty superb. For dessert, we went with the Nutella Waffle. They gave us two because the first one they made was bite size. The waffle was a little difficult to cut into. It’s not the best waffle I’ve had, but it was still really good with the whipped cream, nutella, and hazelnuts! We got it free with our Unilocal Check-in Offer, which makes it even sweeter. Wish it came with ice cream! I don’t think I would pay $ 9 for it though. Sugo never seems to be packed during their lunch hours, but service was still slow this time around. The manager was really friendly and came to check in on us. I’d return again to try their dinner menu. I have also heard good things about their brunch. You can find parking in front of Harris Teeter. Sugo will also validate if you park in the garage.

This is a great spot for brunch or happy hour! Their brunch is $ 30 and that includes unlimited brunch tapas and drinks! This place is a must try on your brunch list. Some of my favorite dishes are the hangover potatoes, nutella waffle, and french toast. You don’t have to get the«all you can eat» deal to dine here for brunch but its such a great deal! This place is also a great stop for happy hour. They have really good pizza and the sauce is so tasty! I would recommend the sliders too! I prefer to stick to brunch or happy hour here rather than dinner. Its definitely a better deal. Parking can be a bit hectic. There is a garage that does free 2 hour validation if you can’t find anything on the main parking lot level. Enjoy! :)
