I don’t really shop here for groceries but it’s my go-to in Potsdam for craft beer and wraps. Wraps are made to order in the deli and you get a relatively filling sandwich alternative for $ 3.99. Not bad in my book. They usually have a solid collection of bombers and sixers of Flying Dog, Clown Shoes, Southern Tier, and Dogfishhead beers. Nothing amazing but definitely pretty good for the town we’re in. So IGA is good in my book.

we stopped here after visiting in town and needing to pick up a few things. dear god, the smell! we almost threw up. we could barely keep from gagging. i don’t know what it was but it smelled like something had died in there, it was so bad i’m surprised that the other reviewers don’t mention it. we also could’ve bought what we did here for half the price at walgreens up the road. don’t go here if you value your health, that’s all i have to say.

This place is ridiculously expensive and a ripoff. The location is for college students who don’t have a car to go to Wal-Mart or Price Chopper and senior folks who live locally. My family and I went here because we need some things quick and desperately and we ended spending $ 84 on only 2 whole paper bags of groceries! We didn’t even think that we would spend so much on so little quantity! To add, BEWARE of the lunch area where you can order sandwiches and potato salads in the back corner! I asked the guy if there was meat in the German Potato Salad and he said no BUT once I bought it and ate some, I had to throw up instantly becasue there was meat!!! What a waste of money!

This is a great little village grocery. They’re not going to have EVERYTHING you’re looking for, as they’re limited by space. But they try to have some variety when possible, and they know that the Co-op is across the street(literally!), which means they don’t have to stock as much organic/local stuff, which is okay. I usually visit both stores and find 95% of what I need between the two. Their beer selection is quite good as well(and prices). They’ve got a mix ‘n’ match six pack deal that you can create your own and pay for the bottles individually, which is nice.
