Amor’e

We had a couple of slices here. They were about the same as the 10 other pizza joints nearby. They decided to close early, so that was all that we could get that evening…

We ordered from Amore last night for the first time, thought we would try something new instead of our normal place. We wanted to just try the pizza, wings, and some other things. They had no wings (something about a delivery truck), but thats ok it happens. (Also, my wife got a very strong impression that she was speaking with the owner/​proprietor, or at very least a manager when she was placing the order, since he knew from our order we had an old menu, knew about the delivery trucks, etc., this is important later.)
When the food arrived a mere 20 minutes later (and we live about 5 min away), we were both really surprised how fast it was. Opening the pizza box it was obvious why. They had taken a pizza that was CLEARLY already made, thrown a couple sprinkles of fresh cheese on a couple spots, and put it back in the oven. It was terrible, beyond terrible. Like it had been sitting around for hours and was then heated up. Truly pathetic.
Thought about calling them right away and complaining, but if this is how little disregard someone that owns/​runs a business has for their customers it wasn’t even worth it.
Crossing them off the list for good.

This location has new owners from north Jersey. The pizza is superb. They offer everything from hand-​tossed cheese pizza to Sicilian, and everything in between. The menu includes calzone, stromboli, sandwiches, burgers, panini sandwiches, hoagies, wraps, baked ziti, veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, lobster ravioli, several shrimp dishes, chicken dishes and veal dishes (including picatta). The flavor is definitely north Jersey/​New York. They offer patrons garlic knots (a real treat for garlic lovers), currently gratis with order.
Free local delivery. I’ve been there twice and will go again, and I am considering them for future catering needs.
