This mall is bound to close anyday. All of the stores are leaving there’s basically nothing left except 2 department stores. Sadly they aren’t making any attempts to fool anyone of their closing either. The parking lot has gone to hell and back, the big flashing sign posted on the major highway nearby is broken, its just an eye sore at this point.

It is very sad how downhill this mall went. Many vacant stores. There isn’t many stores that people want to go to here… I’m shocked that the place isn’t completely closed

This has to be the saddest mall I’ve ever seen. I say if there’s no Gap, it’s not a real mall. I only used to go here for the Ross, but I think even that’s gone, so there goes any reason to go there. Well, they do have a Gertrude Hawk and I do live their candied pecans, so I guess I still have one reason. Plus they have a couple sporting goods stores which is great for student athletes in the area. Other than that, it’s pretty lame.

To say this plaza has seen better days would be an understatement, and having lived around here most of my life I’m as disappointed as anybody. But you can’t blame Sears for pulling out if their sales weren’t hitting their numbers – that’s business. I think the new owners can give the mall a fresh start by not being greedy and giving tenants a break on their rent, to encourage them to set up shop at Coventry instead of going elsewhere. The former Lone Star Steakhouse location would be good for a Bob Evans or an Ihop, or something along those lines. The Philadelphia Premium Outlets(at the Sanatoga exit of 422) have crushed all the clothing business at this mall, no two ways about it. They may have no alternative but look to other lines of retail. That said, its location and relatively small size do make it an alternative to driving to King of Prussia or Exton. The food court as of this post has a McDonald’s(gotta have that, right?), a steak sandwich shop, pizza, and a pretzel store. The DQ and Subway recently closed – hopefully not for long. If it’s sporting goods you’re looking for, there is a Dick’s and Schuylkill Valley, depending on your taste. Boscov’s and Kohl’s aren’t going anywhere, and they even have a Ross if no-frills is your way of shopping. Hey, even I have hit the jackpot there on occasion. And they still have, among others, FYE, Radio Shack, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, Bath & Body Works, Coventry Corners, a toy store, a card and gift shop, Books-A-Million, and an art store. Oh, and they still have Spencer’s. One final thought. Do they really need a curfew on Fridays? How about giving young adults a little respect. It might just help the mall get more business.

I hate to give bad reviews, but this place is just plain depressing. I remember when it was a fun place to visit. Guess the Premium Outlets have sucked a lot of business from it. The developments on Route 100 have further hurt. The Sears anchor store closing didn’t help much either. I hope it can pull out of the death spiral, but it’s hard to do. Heck, even the Hot Topics is gone. You can practically hear Goblin playing the«Dawn of the Dead» theme music every time you walk in the door. Doesn’t make sense. The location is good.

Wow, I remember when this mall was active with business. My kids begged me to go every weekend. To see it now you would never believe how it drew crowds in it «Hey days ». With Sears, it’s obvious anchor store, gone, the steak house has departed, the supermarket de-supered, and the now $ 3.00 movie falling down around you, it seems time and economic crisis have taken it’s toll . A once proud establishment pushed to the way side . Ofcourse, it’s an excellent hang out for old people who don’t want to travel to bigger, more crowded malls. Hell, you can find me there almost two out of five days, lol.

A dying mall. From the looks of it in its white dwarf stage right before it blows up. Sears is going out of business, so many vacancies. It was quite depressing actually to walk around and see all the nail and hair salons. Only redeeming factor, they have two really awesome food options in the food court. An orange julius, if you don’t know what it is well I’m sorry for your soul. As well as a really great pretzel spot called The pretzel twisters. These pretzels kick Auntie Anne’s butt in the KOP mall on so many levels. As the duke of Auntie Anne’s in the Court I must concede that the pretzels there are just okay. The pretzels in the coventry mall however are better in every single way imaginable. Soft, not overly greasy, and oh so tasty. Even though this mall blows, I might just make the trip up here for the pretzels… Maybe… Probably not.

Probably more comparable to an indoor flee market. Not really too much going for this mall. I guess for the Pottstown area its good enough. There are SO many other places to go that are not far away and MUCH better. KOP and the outlets would be a much better place to start. Bottom line; Go to King of Prussia and you want a lot of variety unless you just need socks and underwear, then go to Coventry.

Considering the King of Prussia Mall and the Exton Mall are both less than half an hour away from me, and the new Philadelphia Premium Outlet Mall is less than fifteen minutes away in Limerick, I guess I am spoiled. The Coventry Mall in North Coventry Township just pales in comparison. The anchors of this mall are Sears, Boscov’s, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Ross. The only reason I ever go into the Coventry Mall is it buy CDs at FYE, books at Borders Express, or maybe something little and specific like jogging shoes or a new set of PJs. Not including the Friendly’s which sometimes smells kind of funky, the only other sit-down restaurant is TGIFriday’s.(There is a Lone Star Steakhouse in the general mall area, but not attached to the mall.) The small food court has what you’d expect — a pizza place, a Chinese place, a pretzel place, a Subway, a Dairy Queen, and a McDonald’s. I was semi-excited when they put in a Saladworks a couple years ago, but that left as soon as it came. If you are looking for nice night-on-the-town clothes here, don’t bother coming to the Coventry Mall if you are over the age of fifteen. The only apparel stores are Gap, American Eagle, Aeropostale, and Pac Sun. Boscov’s is the only thing that comes even close to having decent clothes, because they carry some brand names like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, but you most likely won’t find anything too stylish here. If you are just looking for some generic clothes to sit around the house or work-out in, you will definitely be able to find that at the Coventry Mall. If you are looking for a wardrobe overhaul or for that perfect dress-to-impress outfit, make the drive to any one of the various other mall selections in the area. Although the Coventry Mall is less-than-average for what I expect a mall to be, and there is not one single outstanding store here that is a diamond in the rough, I am giving the mall 3 stars for convenience.
