We moved into our new house last July. Our real estate agent recommended Keystone Disposal. We are the only residence in our neighborhood that has them. Now I know why. They pick up trash at literally all hours of the day, leaving you to guess when they will show up. Sometimes it’s 5am, sometimes it’s 6pm. Last Friday my trash/recycle was not collected. My wife called to inquire. They said that their truck broke down, and we should have gotten a «courtesy call» to inform us of that. We did not receive such call. The representative stated that they would understand completely that we would have a lot to pick up the following week(duh). Once again this week, Keystone Disposal failed to appear at this address to pick up our garbage. No «courtesy call» this time, either. This isn’t baseball, I don’t do three strikes. I’m calling a more reputable waste collection company first thing Monday morning. [edit] We now have another company to collect our trash. Keystone Disposal was still responsible to pick up our trash last Friday, and they did not. Which would make it the third week in a row they haven’t been to our address to collect our trash. Thankfully, the new company we have said they understand that Keystone aren’t acting responsibly, and it isn’t a problem that we now have THREEWEEKSOFGARBAGESITTINGOUTFRONTOFOURHOME. They will gladly remove it this week when they come. Not only did Keystone Disposal not collect our trash for 3 weeks, they will not answer or return our phone calls. This is absolutely unprofessional. Needless to say, I don’t expect a refund. They can keep their $ 23. I’ll consider it a fee for a lesson learned. I would steer far clear of this company if you are in need of waste disposal services.

On 7/15, our basement was flooded with roughly 7 inches of water. Unfortunately, about 30 garbage bags worth of our belongings was destroyed as well as a few pieces of furniture. The trash disposal company for my HOA would not take the bagged items on trash day, but would charge me $ 300.00 for a dumpster, PLUS a per pound fee for the disposal(likely costing $ 500.00-$ 600.00 total). They also indicated that they would take one of the pieces of furniture free of charge, but the remaining pieces would cost $ 25-$ 100 depending on the size. Overall, they were going to charge almost $ 750 just to remove the bagged trash from my curb. Fortunately, someone recommended that I call Keystone Disposal. I spoke to Shawn on Friday night. He was professional, friendly and very helpful. More importantly, he was able to remove all of the garbage from my property on Saturday for a fair and reasonable price. I would also like to note that he called before he arrived, showed up on time and honored the price he quoted. I have already recommended that my HOA look into switching to Keystone when our contract runs out next year.

Supporting local business is key to supporting our local economy. Keystone Disposal is an excellent local business to support. Shawn and his employees are courteous, friendly, and professional. Their prices are excellent and their service exceeds your expectations. The best part — they can do dumpsters or curbside pickup! Give them a call.

If you are frustrated by the big trash companies taking your money to dump your cans all over the street you have to check out this new company. I received a flyer from them offering a nice discount on my trash service. I called the number and am happy I did. Not only did my service increased my price decreased. I strongly recommend making the call.
