I love this restaurant! The atmosphere is so nice, the waitstaff is wonderful, but best of all the food is fantastic. I especially love the fish specials they offer. Delicious!

I am going to start by saying I have visited this establishment twice now. Both times I have had pretty much the same experience. The place was pretty much empty, with maybe 2 other tables of customers. That in it self should be a sign. I have to say I feel like I have been swindled or sweet talked out of money both times while dining here. The waiter was very polite and personable, service was good but the food was honestly way below expectations both times, especially for the price tag. The last time in, my lady got the spaghetti and meatballs. Her meatballs were under cooked and not very tasty. I got the stuffed flounder. It was NASTY! The flounder tasted like French creek trout and the crab imperial on top was horrible. It reminded me of a frozen TV dinner, maybe worse and at $ 28 I felt robbed! I will say our appetizer of the crab cake on the portobello mushroom was very good, not worth the $ 15 price tag, but it was good. Now to the desserts I had the tiramisu and she had the chocolate mousse cake. Both were very bland. I have to say this will be our last visit there. I will say again the waiter was very friendly but the food was aweful. I wasted $ 100 and I hope my review helps save you your hard earned $$.

I second the review from terry posted 3 days ago and one other poster. This place is a JOKE! Extremely overpriced and NOT homemade pasta as they claimed when I was there two weeks ago. I ordered the«special» — it was«fresh» rigatoni with«fresh«ricotta» with a crab sauce and shrimp –hahahaha it was right out of a bag from the giant supermarket in the same strip mall. I make pasta at home and there is no way that was fresh. The rigatoni had perfectly formed lines on the pieces which would not make sense to do and wouldn’t be so uniform — AND there was no crab and 2 small sized pieces of shrimp(16 – 20 size) for $ 25.95!!! $ 8 for a plate of lettuce and a few croutons. Everyone I was with left hungry. I will never go back and I’ve already warned others to go elsewhere. they should be embarrassed. On a positive note At least the décor was nice.

Very disappointed on our second time dining there. My date ordered the arugula salad and the sausage with spinach and repeated with spinach 3x’s. I ordered the tortolini Alfredo and a chicken ceaser salad. We received sausage and broccoli raub, ceaser salad with no chicken and the $ 12 arugula salad had so much viniger on it I could not eat it. After 2 bites I placed the salad on the side of my table, the waitress came and asked if I was done. I told her it was drowning in viniger and yes I was done. The manager then came over to our table with salad in hand that had been taken back to the kitchen and pretty much reprimanded us. It was rather embarrassing. Then we got our $ 22 order of tortollini brought out on 2 separate plates??? Why I don’t know but when the bill came we were charged an additional $ 4 «sharing» fee. In addition the waitress pretty much brought out our food 1 dish at a time and disappeared till the next dish was ready. I had to get up and take silverware from another table. We had to look for staff to ask for pepper and cheese. The $ 26 tortellini was nothing more than store bought, dry and it was obvious it was microwaved. I’m most bothered by the $ 4 sharing fee when we ordered 2 main meals but after getting humiliated for the salad I dare not question the added fee. If they need that extra $ 4 then so be it. It cost them 2 customers. Very disappointing. I will never recommend this place to anyone again.

Another surprising gem of a place. Though small, this Italian eatery has a lot to offer. Great staff, wonderful management, and not a bad seat in the house. If you’re lucky, you and your guest might get«the godfather table» like I did. The fact that it is BYOB makes the evening even more fun. With a long list of daily specials you’re sure to find something to pleasure your pallet as well as your wallet.

Recently dined at Vittorios. Food was very good and above Italian average — anti-pasta, callamari, salad, veal. All guests left satisfied. BYOB with liquor store a few doors down. Atmosphere and service was good. Only 4 stars because of prices — everything was slightly overpriced, For example veal special was over $ 35 bucks — it was good, but not $ 35 good. I would return again.

First visit I was not that impressed, but I gave them another try a few months later and was pleased. On the first visit we had the anti-pasta appetizer and it was only a couple cold cuts sliced into triangles with a few squares of hard cheese(that part was good) and some olives. I think they were plain canned black olives, not Italian olives… that was shocking. I would have rather went to Giant deli and had some boars head. My homemade ravioli was good; however, there was only 5 medium sized ravioli’s. Actually a perfect portion for me, but for the price, I would have expected a larger serving. My boyfriend’s veal parmesan was good and seemed appropriate for the price. We both had desert, which was just okay. Service was decent. No alcohol and the bill with tip was just under $ 100. Appetizer was expensive for what we got and I was most disappointed with that. Second visit was better. I had homemade tortellini, which was very tasty. My boyfriend had the gnocchi with rosa sauce and enjoyed it. Good service. The waitress was new, but very friendly and attentive. Only complaint on this visit was that they sat us in the back corner table by the kitchen door and it had small ice cream parlor type chairs. All the other tables in the dining room had normal dining chairs except for 2 tables in that corner, so it was odd. The chairs would be okay for 15 minutes, but they got uncomfortable after an hour. Please buy a few extra dining chairs. No alcohol, appetizers, nor desert, and the bill with tip was about $ 55. Much better experience this visit. Overall good food and service. If I have a third visit as good as the second and was seated in a real dining chair, I would bump them to 4 stars.

Good service. Salad special very good. Chicken special very good. I think they should offer olive oil w/bread vs butter. Overall we were happy.

This is probably one of the closest to being in Italy meals one could ask for. Me and my wife went in and I had a bronzino and she had the veal marsala. Now I do think the fish was a lil over priced but when I found out the owner Victor travels himself into Philly almost daily to get a fresh product I eased up on the price because it was a great and fresh dish. Then the marsala was just perfectly thin and tasted great. oh and we forgot our wine and the server went and got me an my wife a glass on them !! Then the dessert(tiramesoo) I know I spelled that wrong but everyone knows what I’m talking about. well the dessert was def made in-house that was no store bought dessert. Well what I’m saying is that I would recommend this place for a nice quiet taste of Europe in out little quiet neighborhood.

After having just spent the summer in Sorrento I can honestly say that the food, Atmosphere and ambience was truly authentic. In between bites I spent half the night trying to convince Vittorio to open a place in Downingtown! I ordered the fresh pasta with seafood dish. Every bite was amazing! I will definitely be back.

I give it 2 stars based on service alone. Would be one star if that tanked. Bread is horrible, stale and cold. Butter is served in over processed packets. Onion, eggplant crap served with it is just that, crap. Food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered penne vodka and my friend got the veal. The pasta sauce was at least real tomatoes and not pureed can of sauce. Pasta came put over glossed looking. Told me the pasta was boxed and sat in the BOH too long under a light before making it out. Was undercooked and under seasoned. I was offered parmesan, but declined when I saw it was the processed powder and not fresh grated. Veal was cooked correctly but was under-seasoned as well. The waiter tried telling me the pasta was fresh when I answered if I thought the food was excellent. Then Got defensive and said the pasta is fresh. I wanted to tell him to show me because that was straight up boxed. Working this industry I am not into BS. Own it at least. Yes the waiter claimed it was better than Olive Garden but anyone can be better than that awful chain. To management that had way too many specials for the night, classic mistake. Care about customers and show food respect, especially for the insane prices you are charging for boxed pasta.

Went here based on Unilocal reviews and rating — it was disastrous. My son had the Lasagna and it was served with a fly in the sauce. The waitress saw it and she was nice enough to take it away but we thought they would replace it. Instead the kitchen gave my son the same Lasagna and put it on another plate. He had cut the lasagna and found the same pice sliced when they returned the dish. Only the waitress apologized and the owner never came over. They even charged us the full amount. Not apologies not even a drink for the inconvenience. $ 74 for two dishes and appetizer and a fly.

I have eaten at Vittorio’s Trattoria several times now and I could easily put Vittorio’s among the better Italian restaurants I have eaten in since I left Brooklyn. Pasta and seafood has been cooked perfectly every time. The homemade pasta is great. Antipasti’s are good and could be better but I can imagine that it is hard to find exotic cold cuts in this area. The double cut veal chop is incredible. The service is attentive and some of the servers are fun to banter with. The décor looks great but can be quite loud when crowded. Unfortunately I cannot give Vittorio’s 5 stars. I have been disappointed with some portion sizes and prices are a little excessive.

This place is marvelous and has absolutely authentic Italian food. It puts Little Italy in New York City to horrible, tasteless shame. I should know, I’ve eaten at many an Italian restaurant in NYC and nothing compares. My parents literally dine here every Friday night with their friends, and sometimes come back more than once a week. It’s a family-owned establishment and the service is always excellent. The owner will even stop by your table for a quick chat to make sure everything is ok and see how you’re doing! Those who complain about the price should be smacked across the face. This food is worth far more than what they charge, and trust me, you’ll pay just as much for sub-par food anywhere else in the area. I would kill for a restaurant this good with these prices in Hoboken, where I live. If you’re really upset about what you’re paying, go to Olive Garden and stop writing reviews on Unilocal because I do not trust your opinion. Fantastic place — definitely check it out!(BYOB!)

Stopped in here for a Christmas Eve dinner based on a recommendation from one of my wife’s coworkers. I will say that the food was excellent and the service was great, and even though this place sits in a strip mall, the place inside was very nice. So why only 3 stars? Mainly because of the price. For 2 adults and 2 children, our meal came to just over $ 100. Salads range anywhere from $ 10-$ 15 dollars and entrees are mainly $ 20+. It’s also frustrating that they charge for refills on iced tea, where it’s already $ 3/glass! While the food was really good(I had the chicken parm), I simply can’t justify those prices. They do have a guy that comes in and stands in the back and sings. I honestly think they could do without that and just stick to the overhead music they had playing before he arrived.

A hidden neighborhood gem. Vittorio’s Trattoria(or Trattoria Vittorio, depending on who you listen too) is a charming little, supposedly Abruzzi restaurant, although their menu is eclectic Italian. Located in the Suburbia Shopping Center, so parking is easy. But despite their suburban strip mall environs, the inside is beautifully appointed, although maybe a bit over the top for my taste(large painted wall murals and a polished marble boulder floor). Despite the reservation concerns of previous posters, we made an OpenTable reservation for 5:45PM on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately in a largely empty restaurant. However, by 6:30−7PM the restaurant was pretty full(including several tables with young, but well-behaved children), so your mileage may vary depending upon when you arrive. The packed house resulted in a fairly energetic noise level, but it was still easy to carry on a conversation. However, the live music of Sinatra and other classics sung by an older gentleman in the back corner did tend to get largely drowned out in the din, which was a shame. They really need to turn up his volume so the patrons might pay more attention(which might also reduce the overall noise). One of the best things about VT is the excellent service. We were seated and our orders taken by a Claudio, a handsome young man with an Italian accent, who turned out to be the manager(related to Vittorio, I don’t know). From the moment we arrived, he, Vittorio and all the servers were extremely solicitous. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I had my water glass refilled so many times during a dinner(at least 6), LOL. However, the best example of the great service was when, not seeing any risotto on the menu, I asked Claudio if I could have a side of risotto to go with the Osso Buco special. He immediately offered to ask the chef to whip us up a batch as a substitute for the pasta that was to accompanying the dish. So what? Well, if you know anything about risotto, it takes exactly 20 minutes of fairly constant attention to cook, no more, no less. Which is why most restaurants usually only cook it half way and then quickly finish it when an order is place. Unfortunately, this results in the mealy rather than properly al dente risotto you find at most Italian restaurants. And obviously, since Vittorio’s was not offering risotto on the menu, mine was made from scratch the proper way(and using sauce from the Osso Buco, so it was more reminiscent of risotto alla Milanese and a perfect accompaniment). That is the kind of service I’d expect at Vetri, not a suburban shopping mall! As far as the food, everything we ordered was from the long specials list, including: crab-stuffed Portobello mushrooms(a large crab cake sized portion of crab), sea bass(maybe the best dish, perfectly cooked), and Osso Buco with that risotto(a large portion, richly sauced version compared to what I usually make at home, but quite nice). The appetizer was preceded by complementary bruschetta covered in chopped tomatoes, garlic and olive oil(I would prefer if it was less toasted, and they used better tomatoes). BYOB, so all this was served with a 2008 Camillo Montori Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. There is also a PLCB wine shop 100 feet away. [However, I wish I had brought my own wine glasses, since VT has the usual, mediocre, red sauce Italian joint style glasses with small round bowls.] This was a lot of food for 2, so we spit a dessert of one tradditional ricotta-stuffed, homemade canollo. OK, but I thought the shell was too thick. 1 app, 2 entres and 1 dessert for $ 117⁄2(counting a 25% tip), so a bit pricey for Pottstown(each entre special was $ 29), but the food and service are probably worth it. 3 ½ stars(I’m a tough grader). It’s great for the location(head and shoulders above the local competion, like Cutillo’s), and has wonderful service. Will definitely return when in the neighborhood. Sláinte!

Summary — BYOB, great food, small dining area, long wait on weekends! Went for the first time Saturday with my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner, and selected it based on the Unilocal reviews. I did make a 7pm reservation online, however when we arrived they didn’t have it written down in the book(I was told it was in the back computer). Suggestion would be to make reservations by calling or not at all because they don’t really seem to care if you have one. Suggestion two if you are going on a Sat or prob Fri then arrive 30 – 45 earlier then your reservation or you plan on eating. They do give you complimentary red wine as you wait, but not the best. So maybe just ask for the glasses instead and start drinking what you brought! Also have to say the long wait was probably due to walk-ins and then we noticed people were just staying to drink wine and talk after their meals. So it’s not due to the service or staff, b/c our server was great and food came out really quickly! Bread: Definitely had better, but not as terrible as some of the reviews so maybe they have changed it. They also give you some veggies in oil to go with it. Apps: Had the fresh mozz with tomatoes and roasted peppers. It was really good, and the peppers had a lot of garlic. I loved it, but if you are not a fan then you would probably want to stay away from them. Dinner: I had the penne silciliana and my boyfriend had the chicken parm. We both loved our meals, great taste and big portions. I would definitely say you would generally have some to take home, but after our 45 min wait I was starving and ate everything. Desert: Tirmisu which was typical and good, nothing I would say you have to try. All in all I can’t wait to go back and try more, and would give it 5 stars if not for the wait after a reservation was made.

What an excellent find in Pottstown! Who knew? Oddly sandwiched in the middle of a strip mall, this has become our go to place when visiting family. The food and service have always been wonderful! This time, we were highly amused by the entertainment, an older gentleman singing standards and county classics. He even obliged a table by serenading them with a Lady Gaga song. * Remember, it’s BYOB, but there is a wine store conveniently located in the same plaza and it’s open until 9pm! What we’ve ordered and liked: Calamari — small, breaded and fried. It’s decent, not my favorite. Lasagna — Delicious! Artichoke, mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer — close to one of the best apps I’ve ever had! Chicken rolls — thinly sliced chicken breast stuffed with asparagus and provolone cheese, rolled and baked, then covered with a light gorgozola sauce. This was wonderful — not too rich, but smooth! I never thought I’d say this, but I can’t wait to return to Pottstown for another visit!
