Chocolate made here in Washington! Great for bringing home! The chocolates were delicious and I was so excited to find something to bring home. They had a huge variety of chocolates in the cases. I tried the Ting-a-Ling and it was yummy. I thought it had a cute name and I love peanut brittle. It was peanut brittle covered in milk chocolate. One thing I thought was really good about this place was every chocolate is made in both milk and dark chocolate. The only thing I didn’t really like about the place was there weren’t very many boxes of chocolate to choose from. There were lots of other Halloween candies but not much chocolate. I ended up getting a couple small boxes of assorted chocolates, a bag of chocolate covered cherries, and a couple of chocolate bars. That was pretty much all they had that was chocolate. Definitely worth trying out and getting some Washington made chocolates but don’t expect a huge variety.

Delicious chocolate and caramels for sure! We stopped in while walking around Poulsbo and had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed a piece of chocolate each(I LOVED the milk chocolate turtle– chocolate, caramel and pecans!), and then took both vanilla caramels and sea salt caramels with us. Everything was amazingly yummy! I plan on stopping in the next time I’m in the area.

Yup my go to 5 star Chocolatier and candy store. Now a word of note the stuff on the shelves in cellophane bags is generally not made by Boehm’s at least the Jelly and Hard Candies(that would be Jelly Belly and other confectioners). Boehm’s stuff would be the awesomeness behind the glass. The only comparable place I know of in the PNW is JaCiva in Portland, and pardon my French but Boehm’s kicks JaCiva’s ass, seven days a week and thrice on Sunday. Wait what’s that you say Boehm’s is better than Fran’s? Yes it is overall better. Fran’s may do a few things better but taken as body of work Boehm’s wins hands down.

You can’t miss this store, as there is a humongous, colorful Viking sea-oriented mural on the building exterior(note: Great backdrop for photos!). Inside, it’s just as impressive for other reasons: the chocolates! Oh, those famous Boehm’s chocolates. I’ve been to the original Issaquah location many a time and have gone through their chocolate«museum» and«factory» there, seeing how they made these confections from scratch, in old-world ways. This store is, of course, much smaller. But it still has that European flair, and the chocolates are divine. The lady behind the counter was lovely, and we got a selection of caramels and peanut butter pieces, all of which were fantastic. They have lovely Easter chocolates out now, for anyone in the market for some excellent quality Easter fare. I know they probably don’t have the market out here in Poulsbo, but I would have loved to get some Passover chocolates! Oh well, I can but dream. Otherwise, this store is wonderful and a great place to get gifts for the chocolate lovers on your list. Or yourself!

HEAVEN. Whenever I visit Poulsbo this is one of three places I have to visit. I always buy enough chocolate and packaged chocolate to last me several months before my next trip to Poulsbo.

Hello! Here is some serious chocolate for the serious chocolate connoisseur(Abby S., are you listening?). I was so impressed I had to learn more about Boehm’s online, and even drove past the original Boehm’s in Issaquah today but didn’t have time to stop in. The recipes and methods are still done in the tradition of Julius Boehm, an Austrian immigrant in the early 40s. Now we know Austrians know their chocolates, and the dark chocolate marzipan was absolutely heavenly. I could eat one of these every day for the rest of my life. I also had the amaretto truffle and snowflake which had vanilla cream inside and was covered with coconut shreds. Amazing. I’m hoping I’ll have time to purchase more to take back home with me. Luckily for me, I have friends in both Poulsbo and Issaquah! I’ll be begging them to ship some if I can’t get them myself. These are THAT good.

Penuche fudge that will take you to heaven — and that’s not all! This is one of those penultimate old school candy shops with all of the goodies you dream about and then some… and don’t even get me started on the fudge because I won’t be able to stop.

I always make it a point to stop by Boehm’s when in town. They are always friendly… and take the extra time to answer questions about chocolates I may have not tried. Of course, my favorite are the sea foam(either light or dark choc.), and the sea salt carmel(s). And, naturally I always pick up a bag of horehound… this brings up memories of childhood.

You have to try their hand dipped ice cream bars covered in chocolate, nuts and toffee. The largest ice cream bar Ive ever seen and it had to be served on a small plate. Simply delicious.

One word… heaven!!! This is the store on Kitsap peninsula for anyone who loves chocolate. I took my three year old here today, and we were both in heaven. The rich aroma of chocolate instantly hits your nose as you walk through the door. There is so much to choose from. There is a nice work area behind the displays where you can watch them cut and put finishing touches on various treats. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Salted caramels… yummy! My daughter had their plain milk chocolate nuggets… so good. The store itself is very cute, and they sell seasonal décor, i.e. cute Halloween décor, harvest, etc.

mmmmmm Chocolate. AND much more. I was visiting Kingston Washington for the Holidays and we made a trip to the quaint little town own Poulsbo. Although it was raining(when isn’t it in the Sound area?) the shops were open and inviting. Boehm’s was on our list of «must see» according to my partner’s mother, so we stopped in. The smell of the chocolate was heavenly and the layout of the shop was inviting. After looking around a bit at the various unique items, we settled in front of the chocolates case and selected about a dozen morsels. While they were delicious, they weren’t the best I have had, they rank about third in my mind of the chocolates I have had. Price point is dead on for artisan chocolates, and I have paid WAY more for chocolates of this caliber.

I love the chocolates from this place! The place gets busy at times and could definitely use more hands, but other than that, it’s just a wonderful little chocolate oasis. My mom got me hooked on their milk chocolate caramels and turtles, now I have to stop in whenever I’m in town!

I love chocolate! And this is the spot if you’re craving it. Go on a beautiful sunny day and enjoy one of their chocolate dipped ice cream bars. So heavenly. You get the best of both worlds, creamy milk chocolate w/the refreshing high quality vanilla ice cream. YUM! A great treat while walking through old town Poulsbo or sitting on a bench enjoying the scenery of their marina.
