I writing this having been to places be cooked breakfast in a restaurant that serves FRESH Took a ride to the 4 ½ star breakfast You decide Luke warm coffee Vegetable omelette with canned mushrooms and microwaved broccoli. Meat omelette sausage not cooked and bacon from the pre cooked box, my guess English muffin was great. Maybe it was bad day. There was 10 people in the place. My thoughts are that food prep is so lax that the people who micro wave everything think it is good Or I will say just a bad day at the grill Not a 4 ½ by far. Home fries were frozen then cooked I’m out Not the place I heard about. Just a bad day I guess

For breakfast, I’ll give Perry’s a five. The coffee is all right and plentiful, service is excellent and sweet, and the food is bar none. I’ve only tried the blueberry muffin, grilled with butter, and today the Eye opener with scrambled eggs, added cheddar, and sourdough toast(less than $ 5.50 for two eggs and cheese, toast, and coffee) – all were outstanding. The pancakes looked great. My friend said the salad was just okay, but come get breakfast!

Great little diner for breakfast. I should have paid better attention because I didn’t understand that the omelets don’t come with cheese. They are literally egg and whatever the filling is. In defense of the diner, there was a little blurb that said, «add cheddar or provolone to any omelet for extra $» but I, in my infinite wisdom, just assumed that the omelets were being made with another kind of cheese and you could sub in another kind for a little extra. Nope. So I got a veggie omelet that was egg wrapped around some sauteed veggies. I didn’t mean to eat such a healthy breakfast, but I did. The homemade breads are amazing. I highly recommend the cinnamon raisin bread. It was absolutely divine. I could have eaten a loaf of that and been content. You can also order, perhaps, the best hot chocolate ever. Huge cup of cocoa with a towering mound of whipped cream. They also sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top(make sure you ask for them!). Heaven in a cup. The pancakes looked bomb though I didn’t try them. It seemed like everyone was enjoying their orders. The place was packed and seating is at a premium, so we hightailed it out to let the next group sit down. Otherwise, I think we would have lingered over coffee and toast for a couple hours!

This place made the overall best breakfast I have had out in a long time. My egg was cooked perfectly. This never happens so I was stunned and very pleased! The fried potatoes were made in house from scratch and not those horrid frozen ones encountered almost everywhere these days. The bacon was tasty. The toast was yummy and made from bread they bake in house. Cabot butter was available on the table. I have no complaints other than it was a little smokey from the kitchen-but hey that was probably because they were actually cooking rather than warming things up in the microwave. I’d be here all the time if it was near my home!

The home made toast is unreal! I have only ever come for breakfast and usually get the Farmers Breakfast with French toast and it always kills it. On occasion I will get something off the specials white board which are usually quite unique and definitely«special». The employees are always super nice just as you would expect at a small eatery in Poultney. I wish there coffee tasted a lot better.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Poultney. Blueberry pancakes are better than my mom’s! Homemade raisin bread toast and homegrown potato fries served with every plate of eggs. Our summer in VT isn’t complete without breakfast at Perry’s. Of course, there are lots of choices. Enjoy!
