Food is decent. Service can be spotty depending on the day you come and how busy it is. The coffee is terrible and needs to be improved upon significantly. Maybe then I could give this 4 stars.

Breakfast is always really good! Lunch specials are very good, coffee keeps flowing! I wish they were open later, so there would be someplace quiet in town to gather, have coffee and dessert, and hang out, though.

Lots of traditional brunch eats as well as some great unique stuff. Lots of omelettes too. Southwest options. Great for kids. Excellently priced. Outside patio for nice days. And an ol school diner counter.

Great greasy spoon with charming, friendly service and delicious homemade breakfast foods. Fluffy omeletes, great pancakes, crisp bacon. You can’t go wrong here. It’s perfectly quaint.

My son had the Blind Charlie’s combo and loved it all. Pancakes are amazing. Potato pancakes are a great addition to the eggs. Bacon could have been a bit more crispy and we would have preferred they took the rind off the kiwi before adding it to the fruit salad but overall great and ice cream selection is a treat.

The Hazelnut coffee was good but I wasn’t impressed by anything else. The potato pancakes were half-cooked and the omelet was mediocre. There’s nothing special about the atmosphere in the restaurant but the street it’s on is quaint(other than the lack of cell reception).

For a while this place was really good. And then it kind of went down hill as of a few years ago. But mostly I’ve only been pleasantly surprised lately. They’ve changed their menu and all the food coming out looks and tastes really good. Its quick, easy, and a great go-to place. Some of the staff has been there for years and it’s really great to see a lot of warm welcome faces when grabbing a quick lunch or breakfast.

This place was terrible. Food was blah nothing special. We waited 30 mins to sit down. As we got to our table we felt like the staff was blind to us. We sat there waiting to order for another 15 mins. Our waitress was young and didn’t seem to care about anything but having her breakfast. After we finally got our food they forgot my sausage and my boyfriends toast. Did they ever come back to check? — no. Waiting to get someone’s attention to get the check was another 30 mins. Thought about just walking out at that point. So if you’re not hungry not in a hurry and have minimal taste buds this place is for you!

The menu was pretty good, but the specials were so good I couldn’t decide! I had their version of Eggs Benedict but made with spinach and no Canadian bacon. It was good. Their hash brown potatoes were especially good. But my 2 companions were not happy with their Mochaccinos. They cost $ 4 each, and were lukewarm, at best. My delicious Crème Brulee coffee was hot and tasty, plus I got refills. Based on the reviews I had seen here, I thought this place was more than a fancy diner, but looking at the open atmosphere, that’s really all it is. And small. The most negative thing that I would have to say was the service. Looks like high school students who just don’t have their customer service hats on yet. We sat very close to the serving area and even though we had finished dining, they never cleared up our dishes. Mind you, we were there for breakfast with the girls, just 3 of us, and so we intended to sit and gab for a while. When we do this, we do tip heavily as we are taking up a table. The bill came to $ 42, and we each tossed in $ 20, so we paid them $ 60(bill plus tip), and so he got $ 18(a 46% tip), not because he was the best server ever, but because he probably could have turned the table one more time. For his service, I would only tip 20%, normally. Would I go back? Only if I meet these friends again, as Pound Ridge is in the middle of where we’re all located. Was it awful. No. Just OK.

A return visit yielded much better results! 2 burgers all came out as ordered. Salmon BLT was fresh, juicy and flavorful. Beware — if you order a bowl of the chicken soup, I hope you are hungry — it was huge! And full of veggies and chicken and delicious. With a side salad, it was a meal… but as an appetizer, oops!

They are consistent I will say that. A friend and I were visiting from the west coast and were taken there for lunch on my first visit there. We may as well have been sitting on the patio of the restaurant next door. The service was not only terrible but non existent. The food was not good enough to make up for the lack of attention. The second time she and I went for breakfast. I immediately brought to the attention of the server that I had no utensils. Once he made it back to take our order I again mentioned the missing utensils. Well, about 15 minutes later they brought our food, still no utensils. So I got up and took them from another table. I’m sorry for the people who were seated at that table later. OK, the last time we, again, went in for breakfast only sat at the counter. Thinking now we could easily get the attention of someone if we needed anything. This time the service was a bit better but the country potatoes were burned.

You can’t go wrong at Blind Charlies… Food is really good, great omlettes, kids love the grilled cheese and fries. They also make great wraps… Very consistent, fresh and friendly

Blind Charlie’s is a cute little restaurant open during the mornings and early afternoon. It usually closes quite early so I rarely get a chance to enjoy it, but when I do I am always satisfied. The food is good, not great. The service is a tad on the slow side but always very polite. The price is moderate to pricey for the quality. Like others have said this place is simply infested with children. This can be okay and you can enjoy your meal, while other times they can be simply unbearable. I would give this place four stars, but it’s awkward hours and child population makes it just ‘Okay’.

Blind Charlie’s is a very homey looking small town brunch place. It’s very quaint looking, blue and yellow décor, and brightly lit. Mostly tables of 4, but can be combined into larger tables, though large groups of 12 can take up about half the eatery. The food was average, good, but not great. Eggs Benedict – good California omelet – looks good and sounds good but it was really soggy in the middle… like the veggies were watery and it made the whole omelet kind of unpleasant to eat. corn beef hash – decent. coffee – fine homefries – the potato straws type… it was good but some parts were kind of hard and burnt. so. just OK. So everything(except the California omelete) was pretty average. So that’s why it gets 3 stars. haha. It’s quaint. A nice eatery on a weekend.

I go to a lot of breakfast places, and so I was excited to try Blind Charlie’s Café. The location is nice, in a quaint business area along a winding country road. I grew up on the East Coast, but have lived in California for many years now, and I found the location and setting to be reminiscent of childhood experiences. So all that is good, but there’s not much more good to say about my experience there. Service was poor. We weren’t really greeted, the waitress came to our table several times(to take our orders, to refill coffees, to bring the check), but not once did she lift her head to look at me. Very robotic. And unfortunately the food quality was poor. Coffee was bitter, hashbrowns were limp and tasteless and the sausages appeared to be from the frozen section of the supermarket.

This is your quintessential small town eatery. Not really a diner, because the menu is more limited and the quality is a bit higher than your typical diner. It’s really the perfect place if you’ve got kids and want a reasonably priced place to feed them, while grabbing a pretty good meal for yourself. But kids are the key: if you are trying to feed children, this is a great option. If not, steer clear. This place is a magnet for the under 8 crowd.
